The New Balance 990 is my favorite running shoe. I wear a 10D and it fits perfectly. I have had many pairs of the 990 over the years beginning with the first version and it never fails me. I highly recommend these shoes.

This my forth pair of 990s and they have all been great shoes that I will continue to buy.

So far so good. No blisters, have them 3 weeks and waiting to see how long they hold out walking 3 + miles four times a week.

Only shoe with the wide with I need. I've been buying New Balance for 25 years and will continue to buy forever. he most comfortable shoes I own .

I go to Planet Fitness and use the treadmill and elliptical. I also exercise in the park. Sometimes it is good to alternate shoes after rain, rocks or lawn trimmings.

The only criticism I have is the lack of choices/colors in my specific size. As for construction, comfort and durability, I give the product 5 STARS

I would by this shoe again. As a matter of fact, this is the third time I have bought and have been very pleased with the made in US line of shoe. Besides the quality of workmanship and materials used, the thing that will keep me buying the Made in US 990v5 shoe is how long they last. At least 3 times longer than most shoes I have had.

I have been wearing New Balance 990 athletic shoes for many years, usually purchased on-line. New Balance is the only athletic shoe that will fit my narrow foot. My size is 12B, generally not available in retail stores, and in short supply on-line. I was glad to buy directly from New Balance.

Started walking and was looking for a comfortable show that wouldn't cause blisters like my last pair. These fit the bill. Too early to comment how well they wait last, but for now very satisfied.

Over the years I've purchased the shoes time and time again. Great support for my feet, no discomfort at the end of the day. It's like walking on air.

Great for walking and I really don't have 33 more words I need to say about it

My hopes were high and I was excited to receive my shoes from an on-line order. The looks were 5 stars. The style, the outer material and the sturdiness got me really stoked. I could not wait to get this new pair broken in so I could eventually take them on my morning runs. I have purchased countless NB shoes in the past, but this was my first pair of "made in the USA" NB shoes. When I first put them on, I immediately told myself "wow, these will take a little getting used to". The position of my feet, namely my heels, seemed awkward. My heels could feel the area where the side wall of the shoes are joined to the inner sole. The wall and inner sole joined below the heels, instead of the bottom corners. Even with the Ortholite insert, it still felt as if I was standing on a toothpick that was laying flat in my shoe under the insert. I was not too concerned yet at that point and was determined to slowly get acquainted with them and break them in for short periods at a time. I am so disappointed to say that I was never able to break this pair in. The most I ever had to break a new pair of running shoes in, was about a week. So, as I was trying to break this pair in, I kept telling myself "Hey, this is your first real nice, expensive (for me) pair of running shoes. You've got to have patience and slowly get your new shoes molded to your feet". I wore the new shoes for short periods of time, alternated with old shoes to give my feet a rest after a few hours of wearing them, took alternating days off from wearing them, all to no avail. I was slowly injuring my heels with everything I was doing, by "making" it work. When it occurred to me that I was truly damaging my heels and nothing was going to work to make my feet get used to these shoes, I stopped wearing them altogether and only wore my old NB shoes to try and recover and heal my feet (namely my heels). To this day, residual discomfort is still there, but it is subsiding by wearing my old "lesser" NB shoes.

The 990v5 are the most versatile and comfortable shoes ever. I love these shoes and wear them almost everyday. I just ordered my second pair in Navy and Black.

Exceptionally well made and in the USA. Your Ultrasoft insole is the superior cushioning I was looking for. Glad you offer your shoes in various widths. I noticed a leading manufacturer doesn't offer its most expensive sneaker in different widths. My favorite New Balance sneaker so far.

I have been exercising for 35 years, have my own weight machine with leg press, dumbbells' a Roman Chair and Tread Mill. Been though 3 treadmills as I use all 7 days a week. No excuses they are in my man cave with my office! At 77 have a part time internet business that pays for my car toys. LOL On back day do 3 sets of 10 pull-up as part of my routine!

I have a very narrow foot, If weren't for NB I would not be able to purchase a shoe that fits my foot.

The shoe fits well out of the box. No break-in required.

I got this as a father's day gift for my dad and be absolutely loves it. I got it for him in black and he said that was perfect because he could wear it to work and not have to worry about changing his shoes. He also likes how comfortable they are. They are great for walking. He walks about 4-5 miles a day and he says the feel really good. Definitely would recommend these.
