I use the 990v shoes for work and they have been great to work in if you stand on your feet for eight hours a day. they support my legs, ankles and feet very well. I do not have the pain in my legs and feet as I do with other shoes. They do not wear out they tire out. They make me more stable on my feet and I don' stumble as much. I will buy and recommend you buy them again and again.

Bought these shoes about a months ago. They fit large (get a half size smaller than your initial shoes) but they are comfortable as all get out. Have worn them basically all day for the last week or so and they feel great. Definitely happy with this pair

An investment grade runner that has superior ankle stabilization. A bit narrow towards the toe. Great for road runners. But I much look forward to putting on my 1400s instead.

Again I have purchased a great pair of shoes from New Balance. I only purchase the "Made in U.S.A."shoes that last me years. At 64 years old, I only wear what I really love, and my 4 pair of New Balance keep me very happy and comfortable. Thanks New Balance.

I always Scotchguard upon receipt. Great shoe, well made American product. Will buy again.

Heavy walking typical wide sues are wide at the ball(front) but too wide at the heel so my foot moves around too much in the rear

I have worn 990's series shoes for years. More than likely the loyal buyers of these shoes have been buying them for decades, even before Steve Jobs wore them at Apple Computer back in the 90's. Yet some brilliant designer at New Balance who knows little to nothing about the history of these shoes, decided to stick plastic on the side of the shoes. I wont buy them till you come out with version 6, without plastic on the shoe.

I've been wearing NB shoes since I was a teenager. Because of the pandemic, I ordered online, which I rarely do. The shoes I received were bigger than my other size 7s and weren't nearly as comfortable as others I've had in the past. When I tried to call re: return, etc. the message said there was nobody to speak with and I had to email or text. I did that. I was supposed to get a reply w/in 4 business days. That was last Tuesday. I've heard nothing. I totally understand everyone is under immense stress but I am heartbroken by this. Seriously, I've been wearing NB shoes for years. They're the only brand I would buy... If I could attach a photo I'd send pix of all the NB shoes I still have in my closet, but my main "outside" workout shoes are wearing out and I need new ones... hence my order and this problem. I need to hear back from the company and figure out a solution or I will dispute the charge on my credit card.

These were a bday present for my husband; he absolutely loved them! I was a little hesitant about purchasing these shoes online because he's really picky when it comes to running shoes but they worked out wonderfully for him! They fit true to size!

I have 5 pairs of these. I rotate and revere them all. They are almost a bespoke item with regards to fit. I am prepared for anything when I am wearing a pair of my 990's. Nothing compares in my opinion. One criticism, the laces could be 4" longer because I like a hockey skate tie. Im no lightweight and these puppies support the ankle and have just the right amount cushion when the heel lands. Any serious wardrobe should have a pair. You can even dress up the all-black with dark jeans and a blazer for a night out.

I love my US made New Balance shoes. The only disappointing aspect is that there are few options that are made in the USA. I would love to see more.

I walk and hike a lot. These are the most comfortable shoes I've found. They're men's and I'm a woman, but I find they fit my feet much better. They're worth the cost because nothing's more important than comfortable shoes and shoes that will protect your feet and keep you walking for a long time.

They are almost deceivingly comfortable. I walk about 3 mile a day and my feet feel as though I had only walked across the street. I'll definitely be staying with these sneakers. They're great!!!

Really appreciate the Made In USA. You can't find 14 2A size in the imports. I have been buying them for years. I do like to support local stores, but they were out of stock.

I walk for exercise every day. Basically I wear the shoes all day. They have worked out great. I was buying 1540V2 for years but the change to V3 didn't suit my feet. Price remains the only drawback to the 990.

Great work shoe. I work on concrete daily and this shoe supports my foot and keeps me on the go without my feet hurting.

Great running shoe. I bought these shoes throughout my 6 years in the Army. These shoes are made tough and can endure long miles.

I like the structure of the shoe. It is too heavy for speed running, but my speed days are behind me. I think it is overpriced but the structure is worth it.

I use these for everyday wear and walking. Great comfort, great support, and very well made. I don't believe there is another shoe, of this type, in its class. Yes, this is an expensive shoe, and I'm not going to argue it's worth it. But, if you want the best, here it is.
