Super comfortable. I have terrible feet, huge bunions, and low arches. My feet have been in constant pain lately. These are the only shoes that don't hurt my feet.

Great shoes, great selection of sizes. When you wear 14 double narrow, you don't find many shoes that really fit!!

I have worn New Balance for years, they have always been comfortable and supportive. You can't go wrong with these!

I have fused ankles caused by injuries in my younger years. Also have a very narrow foot. I have been wearing 990s shoes for a number of years and I am able to walk, play golf, and wear them for everyday use. Hope they are around for a long time! (Or at least as long as I am).

My husband is very happy with these shoes. They are a replacement similar to ones he had before. Only thing is, they are pricey.

I exercise daily with this product and wear it most days.

Bit too wide. Can't just slip it in. Have to untie it every time

used to walk my dog in them, and wear them on weekends when I was working (retired pharmacist ... used to wear Ecco shoes (ONLY) to work. I've always liked the 990's and had 3 pairs of the v4, which were wonderful. In the last 15 months, I have had two stress fractures, one in each ankle, and certainly NOT the fault of the shoe. My orthopedist told me that, as we all wear our sneakers out from the inside, not the outside, we should buy a replacement pair every year. The v5's are not quite as comfortable as the v4's, but they are still excellent.

By far these shoes are the most comfortable I have worn, and this commentary is coming from someone who sold shoes for a living. When I wear the US 990v5 my posture straightens and I feel less tension on my back. They also give you an extra inch and half of height when wearing which is nice. They are an ease to keep clean. I would recommend them to anyone who likes comfortable shoes.

I have been buying this style of shoe for years and I don't have any intention of every changing...I'm simple that way. When something is good and works well...I stick with it. Thank you New Balance. Thank you for keeping Americans working and showing shoe companies like Nike, American workers can still make shoes in this country...and make the best ever made.

Big fan of the v4 and switching to v5 was a logical step im happy i took

I have always had cheep shoes never have I thought about buying a pair for 174.00 howevwr I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and these shoes provide me with the comfort I need to get through my day. Well made, stylish and the comfortability as well as the support are worth every dollar.

In 1981 I started running Cross Country & Track...in high school. I was a freshman that year and my Uncle, who was not in the Olympics but was invited to their trials to try out, gifted me a pair of New Balance shoes. It meant something to me. I still have them. I run in them once in a great while. That's how well made they were, back then! Not anymore... I have purchased somewhere around 50 pairs of New Balance running shoes in my life, but this time I wanted something wider than normal. So I had these made. I have also owned Brooks and Asics...they're all basically the same thing. I noticed a drop off in quality around the late 90's with a lot of things in these United States. But you know something? The companies don't care about us and never will, because it's their bottom line that matters. Not quality, not craftsmanship... that doesn't exist anymore. And certainly not honor. Making a good product for someone to enjoy so they'll come back to you again and again. New Balance has lost me on this pair of shoes. They're shoddy, at best. I'm a 220lb 6'1" (running back) type of runner. I've always been above average but never a guy who got first in big races. I don't even want to use these shoes as running shoes because they seem so poorly constructed. It's unnerving to me. Because I'd usually buy NB off the shelf and have always been generally happy. But now I have NB make them for me...and they're cruddy. Thin material, uneven in places...I'm shocked, to be quite honest. I've run in them a couple of times just to make sure. No way I'd make these daily runners...ever! I wear them as casual shoes now...until they're worn out and will get recycled like everything else. Aside from the dozens of shoes I've purchased from NB, I've spent thousands of dollars on shirts, shorts and every other type of item from New Balance. Well, you did it NB, you got my money...and in the end, lost a customer.
