This was a gift to my husband, however, he has been wearing these shoes for the past 41 years and will only wear these.

I use the shoes for fitness walking and for normal every day use. I recently purchased these as a replacement for a pair of version 4's.

Love them, after i lost my 990v4 somehow, somewhere, i bought them for my bday and its the best present i could get. My itchy plantar faciitis and weirdo big foot loves them alot. Very satisfied.

My dad is 85 with spinal stenosis. He has worn these since Christmas Eve 2020. His 85th birthday! I was buying him the NB cross trainers, which he thought was comfortable to him. When he put these new ones on, he said REALLY COMFORTABLE! PERFECT FIT! I bought him the gray ones and I will purchase the blue after these paid off. Thanks to payment plan I was able to get them.

This is my go to athletic and casual shoe. I have multiple pairs in different colors. Fit and quality is great.

The shoes fit nicely and are comfortable but the only draw back is heal and soul of the shoe wears too quickly.

The 990 is a DC classic, we wear them as fashion or to exercise in. One of the most comfortable shoes to have. If there was a Washington DC history museum these would be in there as the sneaker of the City. We've rocked them since the late 80s and we will continue. Long live the 990!

Surely not as comfortable as advertised and definitely not a walking shoe as sold to me.

Their neutral footbed is very comfortable for my orthodics. What other of your men's styles have neutral footbeds? Pls let me know so I can try them as well. Thanks

I bought these as a gift for my Dad, someone who will not buy himself a great pair of shoes. He absolutely loves them and says how great the arch support is. He said he tossed his old shoes in the garbage. He will wear shoes until they've worked a good 5 years. So, for him to toss out his shoes, says a lot. Now, I know what I can get him each year. Great purchase/gift!

Narrower than the V4. I loved this shoe when it was a V4. I would buy 3 pairs at a time. Expensive but a great shoe. Now the remodel with the V5 has made the shoe narrower and the stitching over large toe joint causes pressure to joint in my foot. The heel cup top was also made smaller. Not sure if heel cup is an issue as I had to send my shoes back. To others this may be the most comfortable shoe right out of box. New changes to shoe have caused me to look elsewhere to replace what was once one of the best shoes on the planet for a wide footed man.

When I put on the sneakers, the size of the shoes suit me and the soles are very thick, which makes me feeling comfortable.Therefore,I will recommend all of you to buy it.

Great arch support, comfort, and breathability are excellent. I have a narrow foot with higher arches; hard to find shoes that wear well. Would buy these again when I need a new pair.

These shoes were a Christmas gift to our son from my wife and I . He has always purchased New Balance shoes since they are made in the good ole US of A unlike other shoes. He likes their fit too because of his size needs.

I always have problems with most shoes not fitting correctly. I have a wide foot and the regular shoes being sold just don't fit me correctly and I wind up in pain. These sheakers I been getting from NB which have been made in the USA fit right out of the gate . Life is great!
