I'm not one to typically write a review on a product, but i am BLOWN AWAY! First of all how quick i received the product i was very impressed. This is my first pair of Merrell's. I ordered the Alverstone waterproof shoes last Monday they arrived Thursday afternoon. I had zero time to break them in other than i had them on for maybe 20 minutes in the house. I headed out to Georgia the following day for a weekend full of hiking. I love the arch support i have a skinny/narrow high arched foot so these really work for me. They are extremely comfortable and light weight. I love the color and style of the shoe! I've had zero problems/no hurting feet and i really put them to the test with yesterday's hike. I'd highly recommend this quality shoe to anyone! Merrell you have a new customer for life!

Comfortable and good looking hiking shoes are hard to find.I have received my first pair of Merrill Alverstone's a few weeks ago.They're lightweight, well supported and so comfortable. They are perfect for summer and fall.The 7 is a little big for me, I wish I had ordered the size 6.5, I think I will wear socks rather than exchanging them. The customer service is super friendly and efficient.Thank you so much! P.S. I just ordered my second pair of Merrel today. I can't wait to wear them :)

My boyfriend got me these the day before a month long camping/hiking trip. I never had to break them in and ended up wearing them everyday. So comfy and breathable, with a great high arch. I would suggest to purchase a half size up. Highly recommend!

Great support, fits as expected-that is, just right. I don't even need to put any inserts in them, as I typically would do with other shoes. Only slightly negative is that they are a little stiff around the ankle and rub a bit, but wearing socks that come up a bit over the ankle helps to alleviate this. Good traction on both pavement and hiking trails. Laces stay tied tight!! And yes, it's summer, but they do seem like they'll be warm once the weather finally cools off!

I have been wearing this shoe for over a week, and it is doing great! It has a cushioned heel, wonderful arch, and it holds my heel closely which I need for plantar fasciitis. I got caught in a rainstorm when they were only a couple of days old, and they proved to be worthy of their claim to be waterproof! I was really glad for that! Haven't tried them on a trail yet, but with their tread, I can imagine they will work quite well.

This is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. My feet tire quickly, but not with these shoes. I highly recommend them.

I got these as a gift because I needed a good pair of hiking shoes and they're perfect. They arrived surprisingly fast considering we're in a literal pandemic, and the same day they arrived I took them on a short hike, including through a river, and they were comfortable, kept my feet dry, and didn't require extra time to break in. I'm impressed.

Was a little tight but fit very nicely now .

I bought these after I wore through my last Merrell's. The perfect, for walking the dogs or walking on the trails

I love my merrell shoes. Very comfortable and have great support. I wore them all day the first day I put them on. I will be buying another pair.

Very comfortable toe box and stylish. I have not tried them in wet conditions yet. Fit is true to size although I went 1/2 size larger to accommodate thicker hiking socks.

I'm breaking these in for a two day hike I'm taking in two months. I needed waterproof hiking shoes that would allow me to walk several different types of terrain. These are perfect.
