The fit and comfort could not have been more perfect! I love how they look, too! The tread on the bottom is heavy duty... like wearing cleats... just what you need when hiking to be more sure-footed. Only wierd thing is that I ordered them from Zappos but they were shipped from Amazon and the box they were in was a plain brown box with no sign that they are "real" Merrel brand (no logo, size on box, or anything). But, I love them none the less. We'll see if they hold up as well as my last Merrell's did.

I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered these 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size. They fit perfectly. Much more arch support than I'm used to, so that will take some getting use to. I did notice the "grip" of the soles as I walked through my house and across the tile floor. I'm glad since these will be worn on uneven and occasionally wet/damp terrain. The look of these shoes will coordinate nicely with jeans, khakis, or workout pants. I like that they are versatile since I prefer to not have to pack a lot of shoes when we travel to areas where we will be hiking among other activities.

Sadly, I have a nerve disorder affecting my feet so these did not work. It has nothing to do with the shoe, but more to do with my condition. Otherwise I have always worm Merrell and never had any problems. In fact they have always been a great shoe for me to wear.

Fit was true to size, if you plan on heavyweight socks, size up.

I own several Merrell shoes and they fit my narrow, high arched foot well. I was needing a pair of waterproof shoes for travel, and I hope these work well. They are a little heavier than I wanted, but I am sure I will get use to the weight. I am not hiking in these, but walking a great deal in rainy cities. The style is more of a hiking shoe, but I will wear them with most clothes except dresses. I ordered 5 other pairs, and they did not fit my foot correctly, or they rubbed the inside of my foot. I love that Zappos is easy to buy and easy to return.

I ordered a 6.5 first, had to exchange for a 7. That fits great! They soles are very firm feeling. Comfortable right away.

Fit perfect. Needed this Merrell shoe for the outstanding arch support during my 8-10 mile hikes. My feet are no long sore at the end of a hike.

One shoe was uncomfortable, so I'm going to try a different Merrill hiking shoe. Great tread!

It's been a while since I have been hiking and my last pair of Merrell felt good, but I was needing to replace them as my feet have gotten a little bigger over last several years. I ordered both the 10.5 and the 11 but the 11 is what I kept. My foot is somewhat narrow and I usually wear a thicker sock and these felt very comfortable and I think will be very stable for hiking.

when i tried these on, they were a bit snug but loosened up on the first wear. perfect fit, very comfortable

They fit like a glove from the moment I put them on. Great arch support and no need to break in. They are puddle proof and have great traction on slippery concrete.

Love these shoes so much! I cannot take these off; they feel and look so good on my feet (size 9). The styling is so cool. I am 100% pleased.

These off road shoes are comfortable, hold my high arch very well and gave me confidence that the tread and toe would keep me from slipping and falling. The previous reviews were exactly right. These are great light hiking and walking shoes.

Fit and size are as expected- wonder if half size larger would have worked better if I want to wear thick socks - totally fine with regular ones. Stiffer than many of the shoes I choose- and that is appropriate if you want a light hiker.
