Lots of cushion. Love the style. Very light shoe with excellent arch support.

Loved the look and feel but the toe box was too small for hiking socks and my toes.

I really liked the look of this shoe, but unfortunately it was not a comfortable fit for me. I have both a bunion and metatarsal pain and with my orthotic the shoe was just too tight in the forefront. I would definitely order a half size larger in this shoe. My size 9 orthotic inset just fit into the size 9 1/2 shoe. I am sorry the shoe doesn't come in a wide width.. That may have been able to accommodate my hard to fit feet.

The 9.5 was impossibly small, a full size or more smaller than my old 9.5 hiking shoes. Tried a size 10 and it was too big. Looking at the two merrels next to each other, that’s not a half size difference. I think the 9.5 was mislabeled or they have some serious inconsistencies in their manufacturing. Frustrating, both have to go back and now I’m looking for another brand.

They were not waterproof!!!

I love these hiking shoes. A year later, they still look new and I hike all the time. They were perfectly comfortable from the start and they are very lightweight. I’ll enjoy these for a long time.

So cute and comfortable. Fits true to size with a hiking sock (heavier). Laces up nice and tight for a snug feel when on the trails. This is also a great shoe for yard work, playing with kids/dogs outside. Not heavy at all. Comfortable right out of the box. One comment, which I don't think is a negative because the shoe is not designed for this, but, Its not a shoe you want to wear walking on concrete or blacktop all day. It is a big loud and not a lot of shock absorption. But running around in the yard with the dogs or trails, it feels great. Highly recommend as an off road shoe. I normally wear a 7 and a 7 was perfect. No break in needed.

These shoes are great for my daily walk of 3 miles. This is the second pair that I have bought in several years. I would highly recommend this shoes to anyone who walks on hard pavement daily.

Exactly what I was looking for to take on a National Park vacation. Comfortable right away, no need to break in. Very good arch support that takes a little getting used to. Great shoes that I highly recommend!!

First pair of Merrells. I’ve heard from friends they run narrow/small. I am usually an 8.5/9, bought an 8.5 and they are amazing. I bought them primarily for bartending (I work at a brewery) and for the waterproof/traction qualities. They are a godsend. I also hike but have yet to try them out in that environment, but I fully trust they will succeed. The arch support is very high which I enjoy being on my feet for 10 hours a day, but may turn some people off if you’re not into that sort of thing. All in all, I’m obsessed with this shoe and already want to buy another pair in a different color!

I wear a size 8-8.5 in Merrell, but a wide width. I initially ordered a size 8 in this shoe as I wanted a lighter, nicer-looking option (I typically wear the Moab exclusively) but it was way too narrow for my flipper feet in a M width. On a whim I ordered these a size up to see if they might work, and with lightly cushioned (Smartwool Hike) socks they fit very well - just *slightly* too long but not enough to be a hindrance, and the width doesn't squish my tootsies. I wore them out for an afternoon to break them in a bit and they are very supportive around the top of the foot; definitely worth tying up and wearing for a while before adjusting the laces. Soles are nice and grippy and feel firm and secure. Another fantastic Merrill shoe.

These shoes run (no pun intended) on the narrow side, which is good for me. This was a tough decision, but ultimately, there are a couple of issues I shouldn't overlook: 1) The tongue is odd--maybe a little too narrow, and because my feet are bony (low volume), the seaming is a potential irritant. 2) The inside toebox narrows in such a way that my big toe lightly touches the side/front. FYI, my feet are narrow and I wear a 10 in athletic shoes.

Great waterproof hiking shoes! They feel a little stiff coming out of the box but were very comfortable on the hiking trail. Great support with no blisters!

These shoes were comfortable, but they were just a bit too snug in the toe, so returning. I take a 9 in Nike and 8 wide in new balance. Got a 9 in this shoe and the length was good, but it just was too snug in toe.

These shoes were very comfortable, right out of the box. I hike in the woods almost daily, as well as neighborhood walks. I was specifically looking for waterproof. These are not. I would classify them as "water resistant." They repel light rain/dew, but, anything heavier and my foot gets soaked.

As soon as I put these on, they felt wrong. The footbed has an arch support in an odd place, too far back in the shoe. I took the foodbeds out and swapped them for an old pair of Merrells I have that I love, and the shoe fit MUCH better. Strange. The last pair of Merrells I bought also had the same problem. Apparently Merrell has changed their insoles. Thinking that if this were the only problem with the shoe that I could get another insole for it, I tried walking on my treadmill with the swapped insoles to see if the shoe was ok otherwise. Nope. It rubbed my ankles in a couple of spots. I really wanted to love these shoes, but I ended up returning them. Just couldn't make them work.

The fit is great--very comfortable, and, I like the styling. Unfortunately, after only a few months of wear, they are no longer waterproof. The tread is still intact, and, I can't see any seams coming apart. But, now my feet get wet. Very disappointed.

These are cute little hikers but not quite as supportive as my previous Merrell’s . Fine for day hikes but I wouldn’t pack in with them.

These are very nice shoes, but they’ve skimped on the length of the laces and that is disappointing.

The integrated tongue is difficult to fit in the shoe. The laces do not lace up tight because of the tabs

Great support and stability for hiking.

The fit was great and they are very comfortable

I need to exchange for a larger size my toe is touching the tip.
