I like the shoe very much. It is comfortable, size is right and the width. Support is good also. Recommend it.

This were the perfect fit for me. I have orthotics, and was glad that these accommodated them well. The first few times I wore them they were a bit stiff, but then after subsequent wears they were perfect. Merrell has always been a good go to shoe for me as I have a lot of foot issues. I have always found Merrells to be supportive and comfortable. And I love Zappos too for their speedy delivery and easy to return policy!

These are great! Didn’t know if I really needed these for some light to moderate hiking. Thought maybe I could just use my cross trainers. I ordered these shoes, and I am impressed how much better support they have. My toes are not tight, feels good on my heels, and the arch support is great. Gives me good stability. I wear a 7.5 or 8. I ordered the 8 do I would have plenty of room sit ya good sock. I am very happy with these shoes.

I have been wearing these a lot since receiving them, and they have been very good for my foot and ankle. They are nicely supportive, and nicer looking than a basic sneaker. I love the color.

Wow, this is a new style for me and I love them. Fit perfect right out of the box and great arch support.

These are the best looking, most comfortable and most supportive hiking shoes I've ever had. I don't do a lot of hiking, but I walk every day and live in Minneapolis where the winters are cold and shoes with good traction and support are necessary. I tried the waterproof Alverstone and did not like the fit -- my heel slipped and my 4th and 5th toes were pinched. But the regular Alverstone fits me perfectly. I ordered 1/2 size larger than my normal 9 for Merrell athletic shoes because I need to wear heavyweight wool socks in the winter here. The 9 1/2 still hugs my ankles while providing plenty of toe room. The ankle and arch support on these shoes is outstanding-- I've really never felt anything like it! I didn't need to add any arch pads which is very rare for my picky feet. I applied 2 rounds of waterproofing spray and hope that will be enough -- I don't plan on marching through puddles. I also love the teal and charcoal color combination -- a very attractive shoe and oh, so comfortable!! I look forward to wearing these on all my walking excursions during the cold winter ahead!!

Fit true to size - I wear a 9 in regular shoes, sometimes 9.5 in running or hiking shoes - got the 9 and it is perfect. Very comfortable, great support. Wish they came in more "fun" colors, but these are subtle and inoffensive.

Love the shoe arch very strong. 8 to short but 8.5 to big in heel. I have terrible feet

I always size up 1/2 size for Merrells, did so for these & they’re perfect.

They were so comfortable, I wore them all three days I was in Colorado, not just hiking. But, they are Merrell's, so I knew I would not be disappointed in the comfort. The little hiking I was able to do (bad weather), excellent stability on the rocks.

These are the most comfortable pair of hiking shoes I've owned. Excellent arch support, hugs the foot but still room to breathe. Sturdy but not too stiff.

I first bought these in a 9 and I think they were just a bit too short. I returned them because the left shoe squeaked while trying them out indoors for a little while. I ordered again in a 9.5 and I think they're going to be perfect. I love the style and colors. I got the one with the purple middle section, but I think all of them are nice.

These were my first hiking shoe purchase in years and things have changed quite a bit since the last time I shopped for a pair. I moved out to WA state fairly recently so having a good hiking shoe goes without saying. Overall very satisfied with these. I had read reviews on a few other styles of Merrells and some seem to run narrow. These were pretty stylish for a hiking shoe and the reviews sounded as if they would accommodate a wider foot. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel so shoe shopping can be trying. I found these to be a great fit and very comfortable! I normally run anywhere from a 7 to 8 size wise depending on the style....7 in sandals/slip ons and 8 for workout shoes. I went with the 7.5 based on reviews here and it's a perfect fit.
