Great shoe!

So far this shoe has exceeded expectations! I'm a long time Merrell fan and have owned many styles over the years..These shoes were great on the trail, and seemed to be very breathable while keeping my feet dry. Very happy with this purchase, and would highly recommend.

Living at 9000 feet in the Colorado Rockies and as an employee at a ski resort I was in search of a comfortable waterproof boot with great traction that I could were all day as I'm constantly in and out of doors in all sorts of alpine weather. These boots perfectly meet my expectations! They're waterproof to the point I'm seeing no moisture in them whatsoever and yet my feet don't get sweaty when I'm in my office for lengthy periods of time. Love the way the feet and feel. Like the perfect multi-tool for my feet...

I had a pair very similar to these a couple of years ago. They were very comfortable and top quality. They lasted a long time. These new Alverstones are slightly less comfortable and seem to be of slightly less quality. We'll have to see how long they last.

Didn't want wear with the snow so deep I wore my moab

Switched to Oboz a few years ago but couldn't pass up the holiday deal on these old standbys. Still a solid choice for a comfortable hiker. Seem to run a tad small but I don't think moving up a size is necessary.

Still breaking them in but so far so good I'm a garbage man so I walk all day long if you would like me to do reviews on your products I would do that just let me no maybe 5percent of customers that use my code

Comfortable fit. Great foot support. Excellent traction. Waterproof. Weather Resistant. I was disappointed in the level of quality. Materials seem less durable than Merrells I have owned in the past. I'm not real confident in the lasting durability.

Great shoe for off roading / driving on the very difficult rock crawling. If you get stuck or want to spot someone the shoe gives plenty of grip and the way the sole runs up the back it will not peal off over time from driving and having the heal rest on the floor of the vehicle. One negative is in sand the sand will get in and under the water proof inner liner and near impossible to get out.

This is my second pair of Alverstone hikers. I love the lightness of these boots. They make my Moab boots feel like lead weights. This pair has leather re-enforcement where my other pair gave out. I do miss the lace hooks like those on the older pair. It is harder to keep the lower laces tight while tying them. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate my foot width as the standard size seems to run a bit narrow.

Work as a framing carpenter and love the soles,they grip and the support helps my feet not becoming exhausted.They last.

The ones from Vietnam run smaller than Chinese counterparts. Why? I like the ones from Vietnam better. How to order?

Great mid-range boot, solid fit, no signs of early wear, good for moderate hiking

Lots of room in the toe box, nice laces and easy to tighten. The mesh material felt a little loose, but my feet did not hurt at the end of a 10 mile hike.

These boots were great for walking around Yellowstone and for working in the hospital laboratory the rest of the year. They are a just a mite tight on my little toes and I have to wear lightweight socks since the boot is not available in wide. Full disclosure: 64 year old female wearing Men's 7.5.

These are very comfortable shoes. My only complaint is that I seem to be between sizes. Sometimes I take an 11 Merrill and in other models it's 101/2. I debated returning these for101/2 but now wish I could just get a shorter pair of laces.

I don't give anything five stars but if I did these shoes would get it. Great for hiking and walking. I think I will buy another pair before they change them.
