The fit is roomy but great for this type of shoe where you may want to wear thicker socks. Very lightweight and comfortable right out of the box!

I liked these boots, liked the look and how they fit, but I wore them twice and they just hammered my heels. I do have heel spurs as well as Plantar fasciitis so my heels tend to be a problem for me anyway, but after a couple hours in these I was holding onto things to walk because my heels hurt so bad. Oddly, they felt fine while I was wearing them but the trouble began when I took them off. I ended up giving them away. I LOVE Merrell shoes/boots, I pretty much wear them exclusively, but this style just didn't work for me.

I was replacing my last Merrells and these looked as close to what I had before. I wear a size 10 running shoe and my last Merrells were a size 10 as well. They were a little too big so this time I went down a half size to a 9 1/2 and the fit was better. My only disappointment is that these boots are missing the the two hooks at the top that I had on my previous pare. I liked the hooks because the boots didn't unlace as easily. I just decided to double knot these instead.

I have wide feet and these are very comfortable, durable and last me a long time. I do a lot of outside work and they hold up to the all strenuous outdoor activity I do. I even walk and hike in them.

I bought Alverstone Mid Waterproof Boots a few months ago. They are my daily footwear. Lightweight, very comfortable and always waterproof. I walk through streams and mud with confidence.

When these got wet the area around the toes changed shape and became lumpy, as if there were a rock in the shoe. They were great before that, but shoes do get wet.

Interesting tread design on soles, however; after less than 200 miles, only 50 of which with load, part of the tread in the center of my foot simply fell off. Tread wear was excessive and rapid. Would not recommend.

Love them! I'm a semi truck driver that hauls cars. One of the worst things about my job is that's in most cases I have to walk rail yards and other storage lots to gather up whatever vehicles I'm hauling. Many of these lots are unpaved. This means trekking through mud, snow , shush , water puddles ect. It's nice to get into my truck after loading and having warm dry feet every time. This is my 2nd pair and for me there is no other Choice. You can't beat the comfort or the dependability knowing at least my feet will stay warm and dry while I load in the elements.

I have been wearing Merrells for decades and never have a problem with them. The fit perfect every time and are always comfortable. I have around 12 different pairs... and am wearing pair as I type this review. Can't say enough good things about them.

Living in Minnesota I need a shoe to keep my feet warm and dry during the winter. These have been the absolute best shoe for that! I bought them for hiking and plan to wear them on a Grand Canyon trip, but breaking them in while shoveling snow has been fantastic!
