This shoe is amazing! I have had these since February and already put about 1,000 miles of daily use mixed between hiking, jogging, walking and they are still going strong! They have definitely taken a major beating and keep on going strong. The damage they have incurred is due to how hard I have treated them and they just won't give up. I live in the PNW and Strong hiking shoes are a most and these delivered. From the day I got them, break in period was very short, less than a week. Honestly, I had no issues other than learning how tight I wanted to make them during hikes because they fit so well straight from the box. These have held up very well in water resistance and kept my feet very warm in the snow ( with my wool socks of course) - temperatures have been below freezing (20 degrees) and i never had an issues as long as I had wool socks on - and yes they can accommodate wool socks as long as you loosen up the laces just a little. I have done some very simple hikes to some very challenging hikes with these and they have saved my feet big time! I have also carried some packs upwards of 40-60 pounds and these shoes kept my feet comfortable and strong support. If this is your first time hiking shoe or another pair added to your collection, these shoes will not let you down. I plan on buying another pair because of how much I enjoyed these

I could have bought these shoes ages ago. I would have if I had known how comfortable they were. I should have bought them based on the merits and excellent reviews. The Alverstone series is superior to every hike, range, and walk shoe I have purchased in easily the last decade. I did buy a second pair. Firm support for feet and ankles. I hope this product will be in the Merrill line up for the foreseeable future.

This shoe is made very well from the soft footbed to the durable outer sole. I highly recommend these shoes for hiking or all day active wear.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes for years and these like the others are comfortable and well constructed.

Had heard about Merrell products but had never purchased until now, Wish I wouldn't have waited. Very light and comfortable but still feel sturdy.

Finding hiking shoes in wide with good support is rare, great hiking shoe, especially for the money, highly recommended if your feet are borderline wide or wide. Shipping was fast, shoe fit (size) was correct.

I expected these to run a half size too big, but Merrell has come through with this shoe. Most Merrell shoes I buy are a little bit too big or small, but these are just right. I'm glad that Merrell does half sizes when so many other companies won't. That's why they'll always have my business. The shoes are very comfortable and are very breathable. They're lighter than the Pulsate 2's that I bought a while back, and the insoles feel pretty awesome.

Great shoe for the value

Always a great shoe for me. Merrell is the only shoe I'll wear.

I have owned 2 pairs of the Moab prior to this purchase. Each pair lasted 2 years approx of nearly every day use, including winter time. I bought this model and I can say it is just as nice as the moab. I fully expect them to last a long time. Very comfortable and never go out of style, at least for guys.

I have several pairs of Merrells and love them all, but these shoes I find can do it all from walking, running, hiking and even bike riding... I think what I like the most is how they breath and keep your feet cool and comfortable.

Hubby's favorite shoe for everyday wear. He loves the comfort they provide for long hours of standing or walking around. He is a die-hard Merrell fan.

I just received my shoes so this is a preliminary review. The fit and comfort are great and as with most merrell products seem to be made extremely well. I will use these for everything from hiking and shooting to fixing the house. They will not be babied! I fully expect them to last a good while.

I used to purchase a different brand of shoes. Since I switched to Morrell, I could not be happier. Every 3 months I get a new pair. I am a bigger guy and on my feet all day. This pair has been excellent like the rest!

A perfect shoe for outdoor activities or every day wear .

Because you don't carry women's sizes larger then 11, I ordered a men size boot, other than being a bit wide it is fine. I am pleased so far.

These shoes were purchased for my husband who struggles with foot pain. From the moment he put them on, the support and comfort were evident. The toe was wide enough to accommodate without feeling like a balloon. The arch support was outstanding! Merrell continues to amaze and will always be our go to shoe retailers.

Well built shoes (so far), I've worn them to work (before Covid-19 made me a mostly-home-office person, and on the streets. Once spring finally arrives, I'll probably be using them trail-walking the dogs, and most likely when riding my bike to work and on errands.
