They feel very much like the Moab, just as comfortable. Have taken several day hikes since my purchase and feet, knees, and hips did not become fatigued or sore after the hike. I'm liking this shoe as much as my last pair of Merrells.

Really comfortable everyday wear shoes. I have flat feet and these have a good amount of support. The uppers are super breathable and they grip well on and off of the trail.

I work for a Foodbank here in Virginia and while this event didn't include hiking or anything like that, the event meant distributing food to over 2000 families that day. My Alverstones were awesome for standing all day in an concert venue parking lot in 85 degree asphalt! My feet felt as great as my heart! Great product!!!

I bought these because we're doing more hiking than ever, and I wanted a second pair of hiking sneakers to switch off to. Right out of the box these have excellent fit and construction looks good. I had a pair of Merrell clogs many years that served me well, and were comfortable for many years. I expect the same from these. Merrell tends to have better arch support than other brands I've tried, and the heel and toe of these Alverstones have just enough room without pressure spots or rubbing. I have not lived with them long-term.

When I first put the se shoes on, they felt like they were molded to my foot. I didn't even have to adjust the laces- they were just right. I especially like how the back of heel is molded so there's no slippage when walking. Also the heel of the sole is cushioned for a comfortable walk. Another positive feature is that the tongue is anchored on both sides so there's no sideways movement.

First pair of Merrell's and I love them. They're great for casual wear but they also do quite well outdoors. I wore them on a mountain hike and numerous walks across rocky coastlines that required some scrambling and these Merrell held up quite well. I wish this model was available in waterproof but that's the only complaint.

Great shoe! Wore these fresh out of the box on a 6 mile hike, moderate with 2,000 ft elevation gain, and they performed better than expected. Extremely comfortable with space in the toe box and solid feeling around my heel to keep my feet in place when it really mattered. Plenty of grip for those rocky and wet surfaces. It felt as if my feet were one with the shoes.
