I use this as a sunshirt (obviously, that's what it was made for). Love the cut. It's so much more flattering than one I had from another brand that was too large and stretchy. Only drawback is it's slightly tighter than I'd prefer a sunshirt. Typically i wear a medium or large in shirts and I thought this would be a little more loose-fitting than it is. If you usually wear a tank top or tee under your sunshirts, consider sizing up. Also note the gray color is slightly see-through, so wearing a dark or brightly colored layer underneath will come through.

This is a really nice and airy sun shirt and it has a flattering fit. The only drawback is it snags on Velcro which pulls loops of thread out of the fabric. I'm not sure if I'd buy this shirt again for that reason. Low maintenance and durable is what I need in outdoor gear and this shirt does not pass the test.

Pretty good! Light and comfortable and blocks the sun. The cuffs are baffling though. I could not for the life of me figure out how I was supposed to protect the back of my hands with them and still use my hands for anything. Even tucking my fingers in the cuff pocket (as I assume it was designed) wasn't comfortable at all. It needs thumb holes. I added thumb holes and now it looks terrible, but works way better.

Love it. The hole for the ponytail on the hood and little moist to cover hands on the sleeves are fun additions. Only 4 stars bc it pills quickly, doesn't seem too durable. Probably wouldn't hold up to climbing, and some rough backpacking. Love it though!

I like this hoodie and will wear it a lot I'm sure. However, I was disappointed that a size small weighs about 60% more than the claimed weight on the product specs. The claimed weight (presumably for a size medium) is 2.3oz, mine is a bit over 3.7oz. That doesn't make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things, but I still feel that the company should be honest about the claimed weight, as I know many thru hikers like myself purchase this item because of it's ridiculously low claimed weight.

It's the perfect warm, wet weather layer it's light enough to dry quickly yet helps to keep me warm in the drizzly weather. Fits well except the sleeves are a little short. A size up would make this an amazing year round piece.

I've used this twice now - on a spring ski tour and a 9 hour ridge scramble. Surprisingly durable (held up against some conscientious bushwhacking), but stains very easily (I would have gotten the slightly darker purple if it had been in stock!). LOVE the ponytail loop spot on the hood - wish it was a vertical slit for more flexibility on where your hair is, but just the fact that it's there is great. The sleeve cuffs are clearly made with only runners in mind, as you wouldn't be able to do much else with the mittens on. My arms are too long to use the fold-overs comfortably. I like the fit everywhere on the shirt *except* in the lower sleeves. The sleeves fit very tight around my wrists - this means that the sleeves don't ride up or slip down when reaching overhead, but also means that rolling up your sleeves is not an option (true sun protection here folks). I like pulling up my sleeves (especially on ridge scrambles/climbs) to help with staining/damage control - the tradeoff is forced-skin protection and a dirty or damaged shirt. Overall - great sunshirt, will likely grab the purple option when it's back in stock. I got an XS, I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs for reference.

Please make more colors like orange/red that completely is out of stock even though its new. No one likes pink purple pastel girly colors. STOP MAKING pastels and "girly" colors only

This will be a perfect layer for protecting my arms, neck, and ears from blistering sun in the desert, spring skiing, or at higher elevations. It is featherweight so you'll barely notice you're wearing it or that you are carrying it in your pack! 4-stars because the pebble color is slightly transparent - my sports bra is definitely visible.

I bought 3 of these this summer, I love. My only complaint is that I wear them literally every week/weekend and the seams on the sleeve are already starting to pill after wash. Hopefully this garment continues to last another couple seasons, great layering piece!

I really like the hood and expandable hand flaps on this hoodie. It's super lightweight and comfy. My only concern is that it doesn't seem incredibly durable; I've worn it a few times and the thread has already snagged in a couple spots. Not a dealbreaker, and still a good layer piece.

I found this on clearance at a local store in an awesome magenta color a few weeks ago (yay bright colors!). I've worn it a couple times climbing and hiking now and like it overall. It blocks sun and keeps me cool. But I'd recommend packing a different shirt with more durable fabric for wide crack climbs and proper bushwhacks. I wore it in a squeeze chimney today and have some unexpected holes in the torso and frayed seams in a few places now. It's a great shirt for less friction-filled adventures.
By the way, I am 5'4" with zero ape index and don't find the sleeves too baggy for most of what I'm doing in this shirt. But the fold-over hand covers don't work with my hands-- I guess I have long fingers or something.

Super light and great sun cover. I just tested this out on a 4 day back-country "hiking with boats" trip. Was worried I would come home with it shredded due to scraggly portages - not one pick! Love the option of a super thin sun coverage layer. Wish there were more colours available.

Love this shirt for it's sun coverage, and an easy piece to use for Glacier travel and rock climbing adventures. The hood is great, it is breathable for hot days, but still keeps the sun off. After many uses and buying a second one, I have two main qualms with this shirt- 1. NO THUMBHOLES. The weird little fold over sleeves don't help when you are trying to hold an ice axe or poles while hiking. Because of this, I have burnt my hands a number of times. 2. Better colors. I want bring colors in the wildernesfor safety and visibility. So far this shirt hasn't really come in any bright colors, and comes in more dark colors than anything else. Would love some bright options.

I've used this shirt both hiking and biking. It does a great job at keeping the sun off without getting too warm. Super light weight. I do sometimes find the hood falls back a little, causing the high neck to ride up a bit, but this is a minor concern for an otherwise great shirt. I would imagine the hood becomes more useful in the evening when bugs start to come out, leaving very little skin exposed.

Good sun shirt, decent colour. The shirt looks good with my beige field pants, but I would appreciate brighter colours in all the female options! I appreciate that this shirt seems much more movement friendly than button-up sun shirts making it a great active option.

Perfect for days that are too warm for a coat yet too cool for short sleeves. Nice and light weight but tends to snag easily when the bush gets thicker.

So far I've used this for climbing and mountain biking. It's really comfortable and makes a great lightweight base layer as well as providing sun protection. Unfortunately mosquitoes can bite through it, so it's not going to be replacing my long sleeved white shirt for use in the backcountry. Not sure how durable it'll be, but only time will tell.

Love the fit of this hoodie and how thin and light it is. It is a little clingy so i find it holds smell but love it regardless

Great hoodie. Seams are big and rough and chafe. I don't understand why outdoor companies don't go the extra mile... Smaller or non existent seams and no bulky scratchy tags could be easy to do.

Colour is much dustier and more clay coloured than the raspberry colour picture online. However, the material is thin and very breathable.

Awesome, lightweight technical sun hoody. Quick dry. Only complaint is the neck is quite high.
