Prior versions of this jacket were spectacular! Just received the newest version and am very disappointed in key design changes. First, the chest pocket size has diminished substantially and no longer comfortably fits my phone- my prior versions had plenty of room in the chest pocket- why did you change the design to make it so small? Please consider bringing the roomy chest picket back!!! Second, the main zipper is now a cheap plastic, including the slider which is also now a cheap small plastic version- my prior versions of this jacket had the self repair nylon zippers with a metal slider, which have proven very durable over the years! Its interesting that the new jacket has good zippers on the pockets but not the main zipper!! Please consider returning all zippers on this jacket to the more durable self repairing zippers with the metal sliders!

Bought from an approved 3rd party. Sleeves went past my hands, making it useless. I assume this was to accommodate unnecessary thumb loops. Hope they go back to the old design that was far superior in every way.

Just received my new Ferrosi Hooded Jacket to compliment my existing collection. Really surprised and disappointed to see that the chest pocket is much smaller on this new version compared to my older versions - My Iphone 7 Plus no longer fits in the chest pocket on the new jacket, but easily fit on the prior versions. I also noticed that the main zipper on the new version is plastic instead of the nylon (nylon zippers are still used on the chest and hand pockets) - the plastic zippers cannot self repair if snagged. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD DESIGN with a larger chest pocket and the nylon main zipper! My Ferrosi jackets have been nearly an everyday part of life for me over the last few years, and unfortunately, the new version is just terrible with respect to those two aspects.

I have happily used this style for years (I currently own three others) and wanted to add a bright yellow one to compliment my road cycling adventures. However, I was very disappointed to see when my new jacket arrived today that the current version uses a cheaper less viable plastic zipper for the front main zipper instead of the tried and true nylon coil YKK zipper - really Outdoor Research? You save maybe $2-$3 dollars on your production cost per unit to replace a traditional and proven self healing nylon coil zipper with a rigid plastic one? When one of those plastic teeth breaks, or more importantly, when the plastic retaining box or insert pin gets damaged (which frequently happens with the plastic zippers), the jacket becomes useless - Very very very disappointing.... Although I understand the need to stay competitive and try and find new ways to cut costs through your supply, marketing, and sales chains, however, this change in design results in an inferior product. Go back to the drawing board and get rid of the plastic zippers!!!!
