Haven't had much time to test this yet, I'll add a better review when I've been able to put it through some differing weather

Great everyday hoodie. If you're looking for something to take outdoors though, this might not be for you. It isn't waterproof or super warm. It's pretty dang lightweight but not "ultralight". A puffy-shell combo will do you better in the backcountry, but this is money for going to work or spring time bike rides.

The fit and stretchyness is great, it breathes well and sheds water. However it's more of a wind breaker than a jacket, as it doesn't really have any insulation. If the weather is cold and you're not exerting yourself, you'll likely be cold. If you are aware of that and buy the jacket for high energy activities in cool weather, you'll be very happy! For my purposes I wish it had a thin fleece liner that would make it a little warmer and more comfortable against the skin.

Love everything about the ferrossi top. It's my go to alpine jacket. When is OR going to relocate the side pockets to be harness compatible. Also, when will a pullover option be available - that could save weight/bulk?

I used to love everything about the older model jackets but the new updates I'm not to fond of. First thing I don't like is that the main zipper has been changed, from what looks like a cheaper a zipper. the older zippers had a little cover over the zippers to protect it from debris, new ones don't, they also don't feel as smooth. I really liked the zippers on the older models and to see them go a cheaper route upsets me. Last thing are the cuffs, for some reason they decided to move the elastic portion of the cuff so that its now on the outside portion of your wrist instead of the inside making the elastic visible to the eye and taking away from the jackets aesthetics.

Not nearly as water resistant as they say it is. Spent about 15 minutes in a heavy spring snow and came back into the house soaked. I really liked it at first, but ..mehhhh it's ok.

As noted in several other reviews, the length of the sleeves are way to long. I have long arms and yet they are too long for me. Wish it had wrist bands. I usually wear XXL, but in this case XL would have been best. Very good quality

Just received this jacket in the mail. I am 6'1" and 176 pounds. I ordered a large which fits me quite well through the body and shoulders however the sleeves are ridiculously long. I measured from the nape of the neck on the jacket down to the end of the sleeve and it came out to 37 inches which, in my experience, is way too long for a jacket sized Large. Even though there is elastic in the cuffs, the openings are so large that putting elastic in the wrist openings serves no real purpose unless your wrists are incredibly large.

If you are looking for a light-weight shell that you can carry around as an emergency back-up in a little stuff sack, then this is your jacket. It is super light and, if you are going out into real cold or real rain, you will probably already have a real jacket on, and probably won't need this. But the stuff fits in my day pack so, if it gets a little breezy or a sudden shower blows up, I have something I can throw on. I do struggle with the zipper a bit, which is also very light-weight, so this isn't my go-to for a rain shell or wind breaker.

This is my second Ferrosi jacket and I absolutely love the light weight and pack-ability of these jackets, the first one I bought was the coyote color and flawless in every way. This one on the other hand I feel like there may be issues in the near future because there are several places on the left sleeve where the sewing is dropped and is beginning to unravel, so I'm not sure how long this jacket will last. Overall if it were not for the quality control issues I would recommend it as they are super lightweight and breathable but water resistant as well.

The jacket is just okay for me. Lots of my friends love it but I preferred lined and it just didn't fit the 5'10/180lb build. it seemed to big for daily wearing but to small for a puffy to fit under. Plus the cuffs are HUGE.

Was anyone really complaining about normal fitting clothing? There's a drawstring at the bottom. Why mess this jacket up for everyone who needs a few extra inches around the waist?? Sure, maybe on the S,M,L sizes. But the XL and XXL? Who do you think is buying those? He-Man?? Jeesh. Show a little love to your heavy set customers who are tryna get out and be active.

was looking for a heavier coat and initially, i was disappointed in the jacket when it arrived. after wearing it over other shirts, sweatshirts and mid-layers, i have changed my tune. this is my go-to jacket for most occasions and im not worried about how it looks. its very lightweight and breathable, goes with just about everything i wear and i love how it packs into its own left pocket....makes a great pillow

Material is very thin, jacket is best used for light summer days. Major dislike is the over jacket fit. The sleeves are really long with a thumb hook. This is a major downfall of this jacked design. Highly regret buying this jacket and I would not recommend it.

The price is tempting but still disappointed. I was hoping this would be the one go-to 3 season jacket, maybe adding a light puffy underneath for winter hikes...but no joy. The abrasion resistance and wind resistance are pretty good, but its not water resistant at all. I know its not a rain jacket but I was hoping for some amount of water repellence...10 minutes in a light rain and the shoulders will be soaked through. Its also very heavy for a jacket that's just a single layer of fabric (the pics are a little deceiving, making it look more substantial than just a single layer wind breaker). I have multi-layer insulated jackets that are much lighter. If you're constantly scrapping rocks in a dry climate this might be a good top layer, but otherwise there are many better choices for a multipurpose active jacket. Its too bad, I really like the OR brand.

When I got this jacket, I had no idea what to expect. When it arrived, it became clear that it served no useful purpose on its own. Thankfully, I have another jacket I used to like but that I'd abandoned some time back. The OR jacket breathed new life into it, just like a new coat of paint! They work extremely well together, so I'm putting both to regular use...

Likes so much for the material i.e. stretchy, abrasive resistant, yet breathable and super light, however the cut for "M" size feels like "L" size (compared with Patagonia, North Face, etc). Also one thing I don't like is the pockets i.e. the fabrics inside (to form the pocket) is too bulky and causes uncomfortable/uneasy feeling when you sit (not to mention, the looks from the front is kind of distorted, due to pockets' top liner). Thanks,

I discovered the Ferrosi not too long ago after seeing several videos about it on YouTube. I bought the previous model in black (on closeout) and found it to be excellent, aside from the gray trim (should be black because the gray makes it look cheap). I purchased the new (2019/2020) model and found that the sleeves hang all the way to my extended fingers. The wrists are also loose which doesn't help any with this issue.. I called OR and the rep confirmed the sleeves are a full 2 inches longer on the current model vs past models. Another issue I have is that the re-designed Coyote/Fatigue jacket has red trim! That does not make any sense. The red collar lining cannot be hidden when the jacket is unzipped. Why put that accent color on a subdued jacket? Same issue with the gray version. If I wanted Red, I'd buy a red jacket. I've been scouring the web to find leftovers of the previous version but cannot find them in my size. I guess I have to wait for the next re-design to see if the put the sleeves back to a normal length. Hopefully OR keeps the person responsible for this redesign disaster far, far away from the next version. They messed with a legend.

Fabric much thinner and lighter than expected; not suited for cool weather. Fit was snug for an XL. Colour is as described and is attractive.

I typically love OR products, but I have to be honest..this is the first piece that I struggle to find an actual use for. It IS very comfortable - lightweight, stretchy and looks great, but as far as using it, it doesn't really do anything well for me. It blocks wind fairly well, but I find I have to keep adding layers for insulation and layers for moisture, which then make me wonder what this layer does, besides looking "technical". If it were just a touch thicker and/or had a minimal amount of water repellency...

I like the jacket, having used it for hikes and ski tours. They must have used orangutans for their sizing, because the sleeve length is about 4" too long. No idea how they could have been so far off on that.

Wanted to love this jacket, but the sleeves are too long. They could easily be 3" shorter. Perhaps they are meant for use in climbing situations where you're reaching overhead, but for daily use the added length gets in the way. There's no way to tighten the wrist opening, so the sleeve falls down covering part of you hand as you walk.
