Huge difference in comfort and coolness over the Bora Bora Booney, of which I have two. The Coolhead Zero Booney is legit. Keeps my noggin comfortable even in the miserable heat and humidity of Kentucky summer, I've been able to do more outside for longer with it.

This is a nice sunhat. It fits well even with my hair up. The band is soft but adjustable and stays sitting where it should. I have not hiked with it in the heat yet but it does seem like it will vent well. The brim is wide enough to shield my face. The neck shield does not seem too difficult to manage. I will be hiking in Eastern Oregon soon. I like the fossil color for sun hats. I am pleased.

I bought the old olive color of this hat a year or two ago. I've used it on countless day hikes and several backpacking trips. It's fantastic--the wide brim and neck cape mean that you don't have to wear a bunch of yucky sunblock, so there's less sunblock to wash off before taking a dip in a lake! The brim stands up reasonably well to wind, other than big gusts. The chin strap is helpful during those gusts! It's well-vented. I'm going to get another in a lighter color as the dark olive does get a little warm despite the cooling fabric.

Is a great hat because it's cooling but it also offers excellent sun protection.

This hat is both stylish and comfortable. It's very lightweight so you don't even notice you're wearing it. There is also good ventilation to keep your head cool. The chin strap keeps it secure on windy days, but you can also adjust the size of the hat itself so it properly fits your head. The only downside to this purchase was that Zappos sent the hat in a plastic bag instead of a box. As such, there is now a crease in the brim of the hat. I'm hoping it will disappear with repeated wearings and washings, but time will tell.

My husband has worn this hat for a long time. He uses it during yardwork and for hikes to keep his pale face and neck shaded. It’s kept him from getting burned easily and keeps is skin out of the sun. Excellent quality! Definitely will have to buy another soon as he wears this almost weekly!

Great hat for boating.It's a gray hat it has a large brim for being on a boat all day And the extra flap in the back is good for additional sun protection. I bought this for an upcoming trip I needed something that is crushable to fit in my suitcase.

this hat will protect you from the sun and look pretty cool. Namely the Bad in Good Bad and the Ugly. Happy with this purchase.

My S.O. purchased this for me. I needed a good UV blocking hat for hiking. The hat arrived with several deep creases in the brim. Tried wetting the brim to get them out. No joy there. One crease creates a peak directly above my right eye, which negates the benefit of wearing a broad-rimmed hat. Also, you can't wear this in even a light wind, as the brim will blow up. This is hat is truly disappointing--especially considering the high price! Back to the drawing board.

The brim was folded and creased twice when it was packed. The creases do not come out. The hat not looks ridiculous

This hat definitely keeps the head cooler, has a wide brim for plenty of sun protection and stays put in the wind with cord! Like that the neck piece can be tucked out of the way in its pocket when not using it.

This hat fit great and was comfortable. It hasn't been hot enough to know if the cooling feature works well yet, but everything else works great. It was purchased for a trip to the desert to protect my face/head from the brutal sun, but it will see continued use once back for yard work, hikes, and watching kid activities (oh the hours of watching kid activities) in the cornfields of Ohio.

I love how light weight and comfortable it is. Provides good face coverage.

After significant research I ordered this hat. It definitely is the best as it has the wide brim that stays in place, a neck protector that tucks into an inside pocket, chin strap and adjustable band. I haven't actually field tested it yet but know it'll do the job of keeping the tropical sun off my face and neck. Nice material and feel and the vent is practical.

This order arrived before the expected shipping date, packed well, coordinated with all outfits, and most importantly protected me from the hot summer sun on our travels. There is a chin strap to keep it on your head on windy days and a nifty additional square of material you can unpack from Velcro pocket inside the brim for additional sun protection. I have a medium-sized head and a ton of thick, shorter, curly hair and the O/S size fits well.
