Great for blocking the sun. The bill is floppy, but works well.

Working outside in AZ summer heat, I need every advantage I can get. Happy to report that this hat works. It keeps the sun off your neck and face and the cooling flap is somewhat effective. (I've noticed the omni-cool material is at its best in 90 to 100 degree temps w air flow. 110+, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to be as cooling.) Still, light weight and does not add any heat to the equation. My only complaint is the brim. Wish it was firmer. When soaked it essentially looses all rigidity (I had to sew a button onto the front so that I could see while wearing it wet)

I really love this hat. The felt inside feels comfortable and will soak sweat away and the flap in the back covers the back of my neck. I have recently had precancerous cells taken off that area and I was told it is a dangerous spot for skin cancer so I was happy to find a hat like this. My only complaint is it came crumpled up and the front And side hangs down over my face. I am trying to bend it back but will probably return it since I need to be able to see clearly especially for crossing roads. Very disappointed in that.

Protects me from the sun. Looks good. Flops a little so it might not be best for active folks but I do like it.

When I received this hat I was really excited to use it while I hike. I would give it five stars but the color is totally different at least to me. To me the pictures shown by Columbia are NOT "New Olive, City Grey" as listed. It's VERY green/olive. This was not a dealbreaker for me but I did send my second one back because of this. Overall, the hat works great.

The box was too small for the hat. The brim did not lie flat so it came out of the box bent on the side and I can't figure out how to fix it

Great shade hat, as long as there's no wind. The brim has no stiffening or support, and quickly blows upward. I probably should've returned it, but like other reviewers I wanted to try it, delayed and it's too late now. Oh, well.

It's a little small. Quality is OK, bit it's overpriced at $50. Should cost more like $30.

Really bummed about thisI have one of the printed Booney hats and the fit/depth is so different from this. Also doesn't seem like the Coolhead has a wire in the brim? It's too floppy to work for me at all in terms of visibility and sun protection. :(

The brim looks much more rigid in the photo, but in actuality, it is pretty floppy. So, you can quickly look to your right, or left, and not be able to see as brim is flopped down! I almost sent this back, as will not be able to use it for the activity I bought it for, but decided to keep it for general use.

I have a shirt in nocturnal, but the color of this hat in nocturnal is different; it's more milky color though it is not quite pastel. It does not go with most of my clothe that are in navy and black. I wish I returned the item. The hat feels slightly cool especially the moment of wearing, and I like having the packable cape - nice when working on beach for hours. I hope Columbia will make a black version.

The brim is wider and way more floppy than my older Columbia and other brand hats. The older ones have stitching around the brim that gives them a little structure, this one does not. This one hangs down around my head, interrupting vision and flops up and down with the slightest breeze. So annoying I don't wear it on the boat or when walking. It is ok when just sitting, sheltered from the wind in the sun.

This is my second Colombia hat. This brim is too floppy. Wish I could remember what my hat model was.

I really the loved the concept and features of this hat but the inside diameter is 24". Unless a lady has a tremendous amount of thick, curly hair this hat will just flop around and fall off your head. It's missing an "adjustable" feature. Had to return.

The hat arrived with several creases in the brim, affecting how it fit and looked. So, it was returned.

The hat arrived with the brim folded and marked. I was not satisfied with the way it was packaged.

Tooo small. The color is far darker in person. The beak is very small as well. The hat may look attractive on the models but trust me, its not the same in person.

This hat was too big for me. I do have a small head. I do love the style and freeze zero feature. But sadly have to return.

I wanted to love this hat, but the brim was just too wide and floppy. It was very comfortable and fit well. I could tell it was well made. I just didn't care for the the look. Returned it and bought a booney hat with a firmer brim.

Really wanted to like it but it is a fail. The brim is too soft and the minute you start to sweat it immediately collapses and obstructs your sight.

Way too floppy to be of any use if there is any wind at all. Plan on returning when I get the time. Front blows up and provides no protection when facing the wind. Sides also blow up.

Silly floppy bill wont stay in place and falls in your eyes.
