I love this shoe for trail running. I have bone spurs and arthritis in my right foot. This shoe has allowed me to run again. The support is awesome.

I had Hoka running shoes in past and strayed to cheaper brands but being back again makes me realize what I had missed in the other brands. These are perfect amount of structure/cushion and I've bot BAD feel with bunions, hammer toe, etc.

I wear the ATR5 to walk and hike in. They are great! They are, no doubt, the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. The rocking motion makes me feel light on my feet and makes my stride feel easy.

I love these shoes. I needed a pair of trail running shoes to replace a discontinued iNov8 shoe and took a chance on these. I bought these almost a year ago and originally wore them to walk on hard surfaces and to hike. Now that the soles are almost worn out, I exclusively wear them to hike. Having some pronation stability on hiking trails is a necessity to avoid tripping over roots and uneven terrain. These are great to negotiate those pesky roots, fallen trees, and uneven surfaces. The toe-box easily accommodates my wide feet. I took the advice of other reviews and purchased 1/2 size smaller and that worked right out the box. I've almost worn out my original pair so I need to order more of these soon.

The shoes are extremely light and provide support. Have used on 3 mile trail runs but these have been so great and comfortable. They're my first pair of trail shoes and can't say enough good things about them.

I just recently started daily walks in my hilly neighborhood. I am a bigger girl and wanted comfortable and more importantly stable sneakers to walk in. These fit the bill! They are incredibly comfortable with a wider toe bed and the grip on the soles makes me feel very secure when walking down hills.

I had the chance to use these during our first snow! No slipping and felt like a boss. I'm a swimmer by trade but running in the Challenger ATR 5's makes me want to spend more time in the open air and give my gills a rest.

My foot doctor recommended this brand for me since I have tendencies towards plantar fasciitis. I have always been happy with the longevity, style and the way they fit. They even have wide widths!

I walk 18 holes on a golf course wearing these shoes almost every day. I have been playing golf for over 30 years, and these are the best golf shoes I have ever worn. The grip, stability and comfort can't be beat.

I was hesitant to try these for trails, as it seems like many reviews are from folks using this shoe for road and/or everyday wear. I was worried they would be comfy, but wouldn't hold up on the trails. Thankfully, they do! I wore these for a gravel marathon within a week of getting them, and had no issues. They are comfortable, supportive, and feel terrific on rocks/roots/mud. They are grippy but not too bulky. I just purchased a second pair since they are on sale!

I use my ATRs for hikes on our local trails (~1-3 miles round trip) and for walking to and from the train station. This is my second pair of ATRs - this pair I put on right out of the box and went for a trail hike - lovely! The first pair is now for going to the barn and for my group exercise class.

I bought these (on sale) to take on a trip to Colorado and used them for hiking and running. They were perfect!! I normally wear a women's 9.5 or 10 and the 9.5 was a great fit.

It feels like I'm walking on clouds. I finally found a shoe to fit my wide toe box and I'm so pleased! I bought them to wear as running shoes only but they're slowly turning into my everyday shoe because they are so comfortable. I usually wear an 8, but in Hokas I went down to a 7.5 wide and it's the most true fit I've had.

I was nervous when I first put these on because they felt a little tight - and I have WIDE feet. I took them out for a test run anyway& Went for a 2hr hike praying my feet survive... and they did! They broke in right away and leave plenty of room for comfort. They've since been on multiple hikes on varying terrains and have held their own. I'm a little nervous about the front of the shoe holding up. Going to keep an eye on it, as it has a tendency to get caught In the rough terrain. Overall great shoe!

I got them to reduce stress on my joints and reduce impact on my feet. They do all that. I also love the tread, they grip nicely without hanging up. I will buy another pair.Plenty of room in the toe box so no cramping in the toes and I wear inserts.
