I walk 5-12 miles daily. Hokas provide plenty of cushioning and width for my wide feet. Very comfortable

Wonderful! Comfort 10 Stars, The only negative is the tongue of the shoe that does not have enough reinforcement and folds in when putting the shoe on.
This is extremely annoying as I have to put my fingers in the shoe to pull it out. The shoe tongue is too short, and not reinforced. All in all I love the Hoka Atr 5 and would recommend this shoe for the best comfort ever.

I'm pretty much obsessed with Hokas. I'm not kidding. I have 12 pairs. I first "met" the Gaviotas immediately after I had knee surgery and I literally couldn't walk in anything else. They are still my go-to shoes for road running and walking. I'm an elementary teacher and use the Arahis as my go-to work shoes. I have a pair of Ora recovery shoes and also a pair of the Kaha hiking boots. Love, love, love. To date, I have had some trouble finding my favorite pair of trail running/walking shoes. I had a pair of Speedgoats that I sent back, as I didn't feel they were supportive enough (I'm an overpronator and I use orthotics in all my shoes. All of the rest of the Hokas that I mentioned are very stable for what I use them for.) Next I got a pair of Challengers, which I did use for several months but also felt like I was wobbling around in them. I got fitted in a pair of Stinsons and have put 12 miles on them so far. These are much, much better than the Challengers or Speedgoats, in my opinion. They are very plush, but they also have WAY better midfoot support. No more wobbling. The tread is very good, I feel like I get great traction in them. The fit is consistent with all the other Hokas (I'm a size 8 in everything except the Gaviotas where I'm an 8.5). I did read several reviews complaining that the version 5's tongue is shorter and I will agree that it does seem short, but not a big deal, I just give it an extra tug or two to make sure it's all the way out before I lace them up. I like the Stinsons so much, I just saw they came out with a mid Goretex model and I bought a pair! I plan to use them as light hikers and snow shoes. Hoka will be my financial downfall, but I'll go down happy! :) As much as I like the Stinsons, I do also want to try the Mafates. I sense that they are just like the Stinsons except a little more responsive, a little lighter, and with slightly more aggressive tread. Stay tuned...

I bought these for after bunion/bone spur surgery. The shoes are great, nothing prepares you for the amount of recovery time but these shoes have helped me tremendously!

felt like I was walking on air. The cushioning will be most helpful during my hikes. Love the color.

I thought my Stinson ATR 4s were the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn, so was disappointed when that model was no longer available. BUT, amazingly, the ATR 5s may be even better! I'm a trail walker, occasional jogger. These have a wide toe box, good support, and still narrow enough heel. Really great product.

A special thanks to Hoka for the fantastic customer service I was given with a return on a different Hoka shoe. This is a much better shoe for me and although I am not a runner, this Stinson is perfect for hiking, travel, walking or just a good solid everyday getting around shoe.
I have mid foot arthritis and a bunion along with other areas of my foot that cause pain. These shoes allow me to do my activities without my normal discomfort.
My feet thank Hoka for making these along with the Bondi 6's which I love as much. I will not buy another brand of athletic shoes besides Hoka.

I am on my feet 10+ hours a day. They provide comfort that surpasses my expectations! I do not use them for running but I imagine they would be great as they are also lightweight. Very happy customer! Will buy my next shoes here as well!! So glad I listened to a friend and gave them a try! Well worth every penny!

I have a bit of big toe arthritis, and the Stinsons are about the only shoe I have found that allows me to run pain free. I just ran a half marathon in them. And they are a year old! So, they last a long time too. They worked great. I need a new pair and am fixing to buy a new pair this week, thought he old ones still work well. I have no complaint. But, I do have a small request. Please, dear HOKA, please use the nice white color schemes with nice blue highlights or any other color highlights. But please use white as the base color. Some of the shoes are getting hideous looking. The original designs a few years ago were so pretty, and I received so many comments on my beautiful shoes. But, today, most of the Stinson color schemes are hideous. But it is a great shoe regardless.

Only complaint I could muster against the Stinson atr 5 is the tongue recedes back into the shoe regardless how I tighten the laces. Otherwise I really like these shoes!

The fit is perfect. I've worn an 8M since high school and the 8M fits to a T. I'd never heard of Hoka one one before I found these shoes. I just changed jobs where I now work 3-12 hour days a week. That schedule is like running a daily marathon - at least that is how my feet were feeling. So I googled "best shoes for marathon" and the Hoka one one Stinson ATR 5 were on the list. I was skeptical when I received the shoes - then I wore them to work. What a difference a shoe makes - the right shoe that is! I absolutely love these shoes.

Just moved from the Challenger to the Stinson and so far am very pleased with the fit(ample toe box) and comfort even the first run in them. I seem to always wait too long for new shoes. My feet and joints are happy!

After trying the Bondi and the Elevon, I was ready to give up. The Bondi was too wide and caused hot feet/rubbing and the Elevon was very poorly cushioned. Enter the Stinson ATR 5. I purchased my regular street size 9, which was too big. I re-ordered an 8.5 and it still felt a little bit big. My dad owns several Hokas and asked me about my socks. Traded out my thin sport socks for super cushy gold toe full cushion sport socks (ladies, they make these in women's sizes, no show). What a world of difference! I love the plush cushion the shoe provides as well as the traction. I walk 4-6 miles a day. My feet have a high arch to the point where if I step in sand barefoot, all you see is my toes and my heel. I also have plantar fasciitis. I would say these are as cushioned as the Bondi. Hills, wet pavement and gravel are all super easy to walk on with these shoes. I have pretty narrow feet (fits well into Tory Burch, Rothy's, Puma) and these fit great *with* the right socks and a half size down from your normal size. Also, super cute colors! I love the colored soles.

I bought these for hiking since I have no fat pad left in the balls of my feet. These are very cushy ands are just what I need. But they are not for narrow feet like mine. Because they are too wide they cause other problems, although minor. But if you have regular width feet, do not hesitate!

This is the shoe I use if I might me on different terrain. Many runs have me on gravel, pavement, sidewalks and dirt all in one run. Love this shoe.

I am not a runner, but I am a teacher and am on my feet for the majority of the day. I also have a slipping vertebrae that causes a lot of leg pain and numbness. After wearing these shoes and getting used to them, my feet no longer hurt and my back is slightly better. I love the feel, fit, and look of them and will definitely purchase again in the future.
