These fit my feet perfectly in my usual size 8 (the same size I wear in my Hoka One One running shoes, too). I’ve only worn them for one hike, but the soles are nice and grippy on gravel and dirt, uphill and down. The wide, stable soles keep my feet steady, and there’s plenty of (firm) cushioning and arch support. These will be an excellent warm-weather alternative to my trusty hiking boots.

This is my second pair of Hoka One One athletic shoes. I so enjoyed wearing my first pair and I wore them almost all the time! The footbed feels level which is what initially interested me, and upon wearing, I have enjoyed the thick cushioning in the sole which prevents pain or over stressing of my knees, hips, and back. I hike in the mountains a lot, and take frequent walks in my neighborhood. These shoes are what I always wear. They are great on hills with loose gravel because they grip. My friends are slipping, sliding and falling but not me ? I would like to see more subdued color schemes though! I really don’t like the bright color combinations.

I developed a stress fracture in the bone in the ball of my foot last summer, presumably because my Birkenstock and Mephisto sandals weren't providing enough support on my long dog walks. The fracture took 6 months to heal, and now, about 9 months out, still feels quite painful during walks in my Hoka Cliftons. It looks like Hoka's Bondis and Stinsons are most cushioned of their shoes so I bought both to try. The Stinsons are the clear winner for providing the support and cushioning I need as the foot continues to heal. Aesthetically, these puffed up size 8.5 shoes on my skinny legs do look a bit clownish. But I am so grateful to walk again without pain. I just pop in my orthotic for arch support and I'm good to go. Went almost 6 miles yesterday!

Feel great right out of the box! This is my second pair of Stinsons. Previously I used the Stinson 4 for hiking, loved them so when it was time for a new pair, I ordered the Stinson 5. They are just as plush as the 4’s. I’m sure I’ll keep ordering as long as I keep hiking. I need the wide toe box, so these are perfect for me. I had suffered from some foot pain in the past, but have very little discomfort and that’s only on extended hikes (more than 7-8 miles). My only small criticism is the color schemes...more subtle choices would be wonderful.

Like the reviewer from Oct. 9, 2019, I really liked that this toe box is slightly wider than most other styles of Hoka that I have tried over the years, even the most recent Bondi that I wear. Hoka has always been a problematic fit for the splay of my right foot. I typically have worn 8M in Brooks Addictions over the years but Hoka stumped me with their fit. Turns out the Bondi style had gotten narrower in the toebox, as did my favorite Addictions so now I have to go up a 1/2 size to accommodate that one toe! I have wedge-shaped feet so need the narrower heel that both Brooks and Hoka offer in M width. Even with the Wides now offered by both brands, the heels are too wide and the entire shoe too roomy (too high volume). Size Wide should not always mean higher volume! I do fine in Bondi 8.5M (the 8M was noticeably short) and so it would seem in this Stinson (my first in this style and because I like the fit of the Hoka boot based on the Stinson) and which seems even a bit wider in the toebox which is why I ordered a pair to try. The Stinson is heavier and the rocker motion is more apparent but with my Superfeet insert, so far, so good for dog walking and getting around town. I reviewed the Hoka Stinson boot which has an even wider (and for me, more comfy) toebox so a size 8M was perfect!

I love these statement sneakers! The platform base makes it so comfy! and cool looking The first time I tried I thought it wasn't as comfortable but in a few days it got so comfortable that I gave up wearing my high end sneakers and got these in 3 other colors too. I am a size 9 in most other styles but the size 8 fits perfect in these. All my family members including my husband, brother and mom got 1 pair of these!
