This is my second pair of Arahi's and fourth pair of Hoka's. They were long in the toe so went half size down as others have posted. Seemed fine walking around the house but painful in the arch after extended wear. Disappointing.

Love these shoes but unfortunately the shoelace broke after only 2 weeks of normal wear. And they will not replace them! They're great sneakers but I can't believe they won't stand behind a defective product.

Although I found this shoe very attractive, I was completely disappointed with the lack of arch and overall support. I overpronate rather severely and need a lot of cushioning. This shoe lacked the cushioning and support I desperately need. This is the second pair of Hoka I've ordered and returned; I'm now giving up. Zappos as always though provided wonderful, fast service.

This is my second review. I have worn Size 9 Hokas for years and so was very excited to get the new black and green pair. It, however, was oversized in both length and fabric upper. I exchanged for an 8.5 and it fit perfectly. The shoe feels remarkably different from the Arahi 2's though... just not as plush and cushioned as the pair of Arahi 2's I bought for Christmas. I can't tell if it's the cushion in the foot pad or the insert... but feels stiff and different. I'm going to give it a try and we'll see if they are comfortable. I love my two pairs of 2's!

This shoe lasted only 3 months before the tread and heel of shoe became worn. My sneakers normally last 1 year. A rip-off!

Attractive, really comfortable for my hard-to-fit, troublesome feet, very cushy under the ball, standard medium-width forefoot and narrow enough in the back that my narrow heels do not slip. I like the shape of the front of the shoe, not too rounded that it looks clunky. I removed the innersole and use my orthotics, and the fit is fine. I am a pretty true 7.5 in almost all shoes, but I ordered this style in my usual 7.5 as well as 7 because some reviewers indicated the shoe ran large. I found that the 7.5 was true to size and a perfect fit so I am returning the smaller.

I should say upfront, I have had two knee replacements. Have continued to look for shoes that helps relieve pain and pressure on knees. Wore Brooks for years, but sit to low in heels for knees. Was thrilled with several styles of Hookas that took knee pain away, but after about 6 months have developed terrible bone spurs in my heels from the ridge inside where thickness of shoes seams and inserts meet. Cannot where any of the 10 plus pair I own again. After doctor identified cause, I am still trying to heal, before I can try something else due to severe pain.

Not only was this shoe a terrible product and very uncomfortable but the 30day guarantee was even worse. I purchased this product using the "find it locally" link under the impression it would have the same 30 day return warranty that is paraded across the website but I was wrong. Read the fine print if you can possibly find the policy. Instead of being issued my money back I was provided with a gift card for the website. I have no need for a gift card for shoes or a product that is inferior and uncomfortable.

I've no idea why these were advertised as having stability or being suitable for overpronators. I had to take them off and pack them right up to return after about three minutes on my feet because my knees were in such pain from the overpronation these shoes allow. I have been trained by a physical therapist in how to select shoes for stability and these fail big time on that account. The soles are very squishy, like skechers. The uppers have almost no stabiity. If you hold the heel in one hand and the toe in the other, they can be twisted easily, and that is what someone seeking stability needs to stay away from. They look good and if you do not need stability or correction of overpronation they would probably work well. But these are not shoes for people who need those things. I would put them in the fashion category.

After hearing very good things about hoka shoes from my coworkers I have decided to give it a try and I got a pair. Unfortunately I did not have very good experience with these shoes! I developed pain in a ball of my foot and I can't wear them. I will be returning them.

I wore these for one day and my feet hurt and the bottoms of my foot went numb. I had to return these because they were too big and found out that because I walk on the outer part of my foot, this shoe is for persons that walk on the inner part of the foot.

I love the Akari 2. I have worn out three pairs. Recently, I purchased the Akari 3. It runs about a half size too bit and the width isn't right. My foot slants out when I wear them. I will be returning them and trying to find another shoe as good as the Akari 2.

Previously owned 2 pairs of Arahi 2. Ran a marathon in them. Loved them. Couldn't wait for Arahi 3. Got them and they caused severe pain in right foot arch due to narrowness. Landed me at emergency care for an x-ray. Disappointed as I have been wearing Hokas since 2012 and owned 10 pairs. 2 Clifton, 2 vanquish, 2 arahi, Mach's, gaviata. Arahi 3 going back. Great customer service though.

My Orthopedic suggested that I wear Hoka's due to a heel spur, nodgul and plantar fasciitis. The store suggested these. I wore them to work the next day at a desk job. By 11:00 am, both feet had gone numb, swelled and throbbing pain while just sitting. I called Hoka and was told I was in the wrong shoe. Needed the Bondi 6. The store gladly took the shoes back and I am now waiting on my Bondi 6 to be delivered. Both retailer and Hoka have been understanding. These shoe would most likely be great if your ankles rolled, but are not meant for heel damages. Can't wait on my Bondi 6's to come in.

there is one wide shoe I can wear now from Hoka, Gaviota 2 (need more colors). This one is way too narrow in midfoot for a wide shoe.

I was so excited because I've been waiting for a black shoe. I got the Arahi 2 Greys for Christmas and they fit me perfectly. Like a dream. I just got the Arahi 3 in black and have several differences. I am a women's size 9. #1 - Side by Side - The Arahi 3's are atleast 1/2 size longer in length. Size down by 1/2 size. #2 - The fabric of the upper sags... there's too much of it and I have to tighten the laces much more to get it to cup of my feet. The fabric also seems kind of stretchy ... or it doesn't have as much structure as the 2's. #3 - On first steps, I was shocked at how much less cushiony it was again compared to the 2's. Yes, it gives but its maybe 50% less than the cushion of the 2's. I will exchange for a smaller size and see if that helps.

I went to the store and had my foot measured with the virtual foot machine. My PT told me she recommended this shoe so my step wouldn't be so hard on the treadmill.Tired to run with the shoes my feet were killing me. I couldn't do my second 5 minute run. Will be taking the shoes back.

I ordered Arahi 3 in hopes that they were as wide as the Arahi 1s and unfortunately they aren't. Arahi 1s are my absolute favorite shoe both Arahi 2 and 3 are much too narrow for me...even in the wide.
