Some how the shoe put my foot in a bad position so it kept going numb.

These are my second pair of HOKA ONE ONE brand. I am a size 9 in Bondi 6 style and they fit perfect with a little toe room and are amazing. I bought these Gaviota 2's because I needed another pair of good support shoes for casual wear but can't afford the Bondi 7 right now. I ordered the Gaviota 2 in a size 9 originally but they were a bit snug so I sent those back (thanks Zappos!) and got the 9.5's. Great fit. The style isn't great, to me, and I really wanted the purple ones but all they had left was this gray and orange or black. I have worn them off and on for several days and they are absolutely fine. Unfortunately, HOKA ONE ONE will no longer will be manufacturing Gaviota 2's so I don't know about any new styles and how they fit.

I wear a size 8 and this shoe was tight. The toe box was not as round or big as other shoes.

I had 2 pairs of the original Gaviota that I wore out, and needed a new pair. I use an insert recommended by my podiatrist to help with flat feet, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis. My last 2 pairs were wide width, although I do not have a wide foot. Based on reviews, I ordered a regular width shoes. Reviewers said the mesh will stretch. Wore the Gaviota 2s around the house with my insert...felt pretty good, but then sat down for a bit a noticed my feet were losing circulation. Back they went. If you use an insert or orthotic, consider wide width.

They run a little narrow

Good shoe, but a little tight in the size I usually wear.

Was hoping to love theses like the Hoka Speedgoat mid, but the heel box was to shallow when I added my arch supports (heels slipped up to high) and the top of the show was too tight on my arch. If the shoe itself had more depth from the foot bed to the top of the shoe and heel area, they would have worked. But sadly this is a common problem I have with many sneakers/running shoes when I add my arch support. Had to send them back.
