Incredibly comfortable. I also was struggling with IT band issues that completely cleared up once I switched to these shoes.

I have been running for years and I developed plantar fasciitis and I over pronate. These sneakers are a gift! I no longer have heel pain. I will continue to wear Hoka's.

My feet have endured decades of endurance sports & activities. This shoe supports & cushions my feet to a level which allows me to continue 6 day-a-week workouts. Shoe technology keeps improving & the Gaviota 2 is a definite winner.

I have arthritis in my feet. I am on my feet all day long. At the end of the day my feet, back, & legs hurt horribly. No matter what shoes I would wear I never had relief. My mother in law told me about Hoka Shoes. I figured it was worth a shot. My feet do not hurt. Neither does my back or legs. Hoka Shoes are the best shoes ever made. I will never by another brand ever again. I absolutely love Hoka Shoes!!!!!! I do not have pain anymore after being on my feet all day.

I went to the foot doctor because of pain and swelling in my big toe. He said it was from arthritis and recommended the Hoka brand shoe and one with high stability. I got the Gaviota 2. I loved them the moment I put my foot it. Truly comfortable. My first day wearing them was a 12 hour shift in a shop in a cement floor and 8 miles. My feet felt great! I've had them about 1 month. I don't have the pain in my foot. The swelling is minimal. I am even taking up learning to run. Up to 3.5 minutes. I now have 2 pair. 1 for work, 1 for life. Looking for a 3 pair for at the gym. It asks below if I would recommend and yes I would and yes I have!

I have been searching for several years for a comfortable pair of shoes. I have a lot of pain in my feet and wearing a comfortable shoe is of the utmost importance, so when my nephew told me about these shoes, I was very skeptical. However, I figured I couldn't lose since you offer a 30 day money back guarantee. I ordered them and was pleasantly surprised how wide they are across the toes, which is exactly what I need. I have been wearing them for about 3 weeks now and they are truly life changing. My feet are no longer throbbing at the end of the day. I am able to go shopping again due to the awesome support these shoes offer. They are truly the most comfortable, most supportive shoe I have ever had on my feet, so I only have one word "LIFE CHANGING"!!!

I have torn the posterior tibial tendon, the tendon that holds up the arch, in each leg, and have had several operations - fusions - to reconstruct the arches in my feet. I wear orthotics and require a straight last, motion control, running shoe for daily wear. Hoka is the ONLY brand that I have found to be suitable in terms of stability, cushioning, and overall comfort. I am unable to run as a result of my surgeries, but if I could, these would be my running shoes of choice. They are great for walking.
The Gaviota 2 has several improvements over the Gaviota 2, such as improved lacing, a better pull-up loop, and a general better overall fit. My only complaint is there is only one color option in wide. Luckily, I am able to wear a men's 7M if I want variety.

This is my first HOKA purchase as I normally purchase New Balance . Received shoes today. First impression is positive. Reading reviews about narrow fit was concerning so I bought a half size up in the wide version, Walked around the house and stairs and the fit feels great. Have yet to wear them in a jog. I am not a sprinter but a jogger and I believe the shoe fits this profile. I am optimistic about the road and treadmill performance as this is going to be the intended use. So far so good.

Purchased these from a local running store in Houston. Loved these the moment I put them on. My podiatrist turned me on to Hokas a couple of years ago. I first purchased the Vanquish 3 which is no longer available. Loved those. Then bought the Stinson ATR 4 and didn't like them so much - no traction on damp/wet surfaces - so now these are my dog walking shoes. But these Gaviota 2's - LOVE LOVE them from first fitting. Might be that these are stable v. neutral which the other two styles were. These are comfortable from the get go. The V3's were plush but these feel plusher even tho they are 'balanced". Want to buy another pair but the color selection needs to improve. Also don't like the loops v. eyelet holes for lacing up - but the arch lock wings are just what I needed, but didn't know it.

I am 41, and have worn many brands of jogging shoes such as Brooks,Mizuno,Nike, and many more. I broke my femur in November, so the last few months have been tough! I bought brooks and returned them! With a soar cramped foot! So I tried the HOKAoneone Gaviota 2 and said WOW!!! I have had them for a month now and I'm never looking back!! Built strong and the Best for a Hard Jog or Walk!! Thank You HOKA!!

So, I have been running with Gaviota for the past year, I first bought them because I read a review that said, "I couldn't believe my knees don't hurt", I have a trifecta, My hip is bent inward, my knee too and I have a flat foot, I ran with Asics, New Balance, Adidas, Brooks Nike, Basically all the big brands and I have crashed my knees time and time again to a point that my therapist told me I have to stop running. I researches a bunch of shoes and came across Hoka, I tried the Arahi firs and they were too narrow so I went to the widest show they have, Gaviota. In addition to being a wide shoe it has a very strong support and that is something I really need.
Bottom line, I have been running for a year without 1 injury and I recommend it to people I train or train with.
These shoes saved my ability to run, I'm about to buy the 3rd pair and I couldn't be happier if I really tried.
If you have knee pain, Flat foot or anything that prevents you from running, go to a store and try one of the Hoka shoes, if there is one that works for you, this will be a start of a loving relationship.
BELIEVE IT, you CAN run without knee pain!

I'm a basketball official having plantar fasciitis problems, wearing revoked zigs. Went to a running shop salesman recommended the Hoka Gaviota 2. Best shoe's I've ever put on my feet. Hardly any pain afterwards also.

I have been an Asics GT-2000 since they were known as the 2100's....forever. I have been having some persistent foot and knee pain. I was fitted in these and the difference is unbelievable! I don't want to wear anything other than these shoes right here anymore. I had knee surgery a month ago and am off running for two months, but I can't wait to try these out! In the meantime i have been walking my dogs in them and going to work. I'm a school teacher and am pn my feet all day. These shoes give me the perfect mix of stability and cushion (I am a moderate overpronator.) They have completely changed how I think about shoes. Thank you, Hoka One One! < 3

I used to run only in Saucony Omni ISOs but I decided to try something different this time around and my oh my are these shoes amazing. The first time I tried them on, I couldn't help but smile. I walked around in them for a little bit and it felt like I was walking on a cloud. They feel even better when running. The stability features are exactly what I need and so far after putting about 50 miles on them, I feel no discomfort at all. It did take a little while to get used to the increased stack height, but that was no problem at all. A very nice feature as well is the low drop. These shoes all around are great. My only issue with these are the responsiveness. They are NOT for speedwork or anything similar. But then again, who buys one of Hoka's most cushioned shoes and expects to do speedwork in them? I've used this shoe for my 16 mile long runs and on recovery days, and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Hoka One One you are now my favorite running shoe brand!

I have plantar fasciitis and these were super comfortable right out of box. I love the neutral colors and I can use these for walking and pickleball. The support is great for the pounding of pickleball. I don't run anymore but I sure can walk miles in these.

I contact Hoka One One on Twitter for recommendation on running shoes for someone with overpronation and bad knees. They recommend Hoka One One Gaviota, boy, they didn't disappoint.
First time, I put these shoes on my feet were in Heaven. I immediately threw out my ASICS gel kayano shoes, which I've been wearing for years.
These shoes are lightweight, nice cushion with stretchy shoelaces. These shoes make me run on my mid foot area and I don't heel strike anymore.
After my first run, I started crying not of pain but from extreme happiness. Thank Hoka One One.

Now after getting the wider version of the gaviota 2, the fit is better. Ironic that the wider version does not have the end of the tongue stitched into the shoe like the regular size does. For those who cant' fit into the regular size, return it and get the wide version. The tips of your feet with thank you for this. Will have to try this from now on and hope the fit it just as good as this one.

I bought these after years of wearing Brooks Beast or Adrenaline. I am running about 20 miles a week in them and they simply feel great. I am a 200 lb guy that is not light of foot and typically have some knee, leg or foot pain but not since I started wearing the Gaviota. It s the first shoe I have worn that I have not found something that wasn't quite right.

You just can't understand the value of a good shoe until you injure your foot & can no longer walk like you want to.

This is my second review, I received today in the mail, I have not taken off since opening the box today. The width finally works for my foot. The midfoot is wider and the toe box wonderful. Please make more colors (not wild please), I have to wear these all the time and wild color schemes don't always work. Thank you for making a shoe I can wear, I have a wide foot.

Nice sneaker, but not the right fit for my foot. So, I returned free, for a full refund. Maybe, I didn't give them enough time, as my first try-on, just didn't feel "right". Also, note, I'm suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, and I'm looking for a shoe to give me relief - a "magic bullet".

The foot bed is super comfortable and arch support is great. It's important to note that the sole on these is much wider than most other Hokas (think flat, wide strap-on snow shoe). On the one hand this provides enhanced stability which could be a plus for knee issues. On the other hand, my issue is ankle arthritis and this wide sole forces the ankle to hinge in a more restricted motion. I managed a half dozen walks around the neighborhood before realizing that every time I wore these shoes I ended up needing to ice my ankles to bring down the swelling. This is not the case for me with Hokas with a narrower sole such as Araha, Hupana and even Speedgoat. These are more like New Balance 840v4. I couldn't wear those either. Unfortunately I didn't figure this out until I wore them outside a few times.
