very nice for casual or gym workout

I'm wearing my third pair now. I love these shoes but the reason I only gave them four stars is because I had to trash my first two pairs after a while because they developed holes in the big toe area. I know under normal circumstances you'd think I'd say why buy another pair if I have this chronic wear problem? Well, it's because they are so comfortable and when you find a sneaker you love, that's the pair you want to wear.

I use the Makasa shoe ONLY for the gym. I consider it an all-around shoe and use it for both aerobic and anaerobic exercise. Not sure how they make such a sturdy shoe so lite but I'll take it. The only issue I have is a narrow toe box. I wear a D width shoe (very common) and, although comfortable, the toe box is very snug. Otherwise, it's true to size.

The shoe was great, and engineered well, it just didn't fit my funny shaped feet. My loss.

These are good shoes. Real good. Great? Well I don't know if they're great yet, but I've only had them a month.

Its not as supportive as the bulkier bondi but it strikes a good balance. They do run slow but my feet are getting used to them still. Slight top burn after 3 miles.

Bought men's sneaker to accommodate my bunions and it was a good decision.

The shoes are comfortable but they are not stylish looking at all. I think the photo did not do the shoe justice.

The shoe is well build, fits great and is very attractive. The shoe was just a little too firm for me and, together with the Metrocker sole it didn't feel quite right. While walking the impact on my foot was a firm enough that I worried it would be conformable after wearing a while. It would be the perfect shoe if the sole was a little softer.

My only complain is this shoe is not nearly as cushioned as the Bondi shoes.

Please make more styles in wide sizes and greater variety of colors.

Love the shoe but the only pair that was wide enough was the first of 5 pairs I've purchased. I see Hoka now has XXwide in one style and one color so I'll try them as well to see. how they fit. Everything else about the shoe id good as I wear them casually and in the gym.

It looks like a heavy shoe but it's very light and super comfortable. I'm not as used to natural shoes and this is a good transition shoe for any activity. Toe box could be a bit wider - wear thinner socks.

great shoe in a wide. put this style with a few more color choices and a cushier bed, and it'll be a top seller.

i walk 30 miles a week -- this product is ok - i had purchased other Hoka sneakers and they were better.

When I looked at the Akasa it said the sole was "plush". I didn't find that to be the case. I have a pair of Bondi6. THOSE are SO plush and comfortable. I didn't get that with the Akasa so I was a little disappointed but the shoe is still very good.

Fits well after on for a few minutes. Bit snug at first.

Super comfortable shoe, with a low profile and style that makes it easy to wear - and not look like you just came from a run. The only downside is the one I've read from other viewers. The tread is gone after much too short time. My Biondi 6 are holding up just fine with normal wear and tear. On these, there is even a divot at the ball/mid-foot wear the shoe as worn away, while there is still tread on the heal and forefoot. I'm b
