Nice shoe. I got it on sale, even better! I tried the shoe with a thin golf sock, and it's tight. I am hoping with time, it'll loosen up, and stretch to my liking & comfort!

I really loved the Gel-Contend 4 and I thought this shoe would be a no brainer. I was very disappointed- the heel height on this show is slightly taller than the contend 4 and it rubs on my heels - making these shoes unwearable for me. Normally - Asics is my "go to" brand for sneakers (both walking and gym trainers) - so I'm sad to have to look elsewhere. As far as quality - the shoes appear to be the normal asics quality and the insole was very comfortable, and excluding the heel fit - the shoes were spot on for my hard to fit high arch foot.

The shoes fit, but I cannot say I love them for they are not all that comfortable. They also do not look all that great.

I really like these shoes but for long day comfort no they have a narrow toe box which is very uncomfortable. short term wear they are ok without socks but they do seem to create a burning sensation in feet. I am sorry I wore them would never think about running in them

liked the shoe. It would be better if the toe box was a little wider but without socks they are great Ordered a second pair in gray. Was nice to have a shoe that was not clunky

I bought these on sale due to the 5-star reviews. While I wouldn't give them 5 stars, they will be fine for running on the indoor track. Size and width were as expected.

I have owned two pairs of Asics in the passed and they were both super comfortable right out of the box. For some reason these just didn't feel right. The sizing feels off to me. The ones I have now (for 4+ years) are a size 9, but these 9's were too small. My toe hit the front of the shoe. I am disapointed, as these are now the 2nd pair of Asics I have sent back. May try a different brand.

I wear a 9.5 in Asics and this is true to size. These are for fitness walking, I do 3 miles a day and they do the job well.

They were reasonably comfortable but felt a little thin in the sole. I need sturdier support in sneakers. Thank you Zappos for being so easy to deal with.

I have high arches, and these shoes literally have no arch support, but they did have a little cushion in the foot bed, just no arch support. I put in one of my inserts from another shoe, went for a walk, very pleased, a good walking shoe, they are very lightweight, and stylish, except for those loud colored pink shoestrings, changed them to white, now they look good.

Great shoes! I'm on my feet 12 hours a day and these shoes do not disappoint!

Pros: Lightweight Super cushioning. Great if you have plantars. Aesthethically pleasing Well constructed Con: Toe box is not wide enough I am keeping them b/c I've sent 4 pairs back and I feel bad for Zappos. The toe box is not wide enough and my toes sometimes go numb when working out. The heel part is plenty wide tho.

I have plantar fasciitis and for that these shoes are great, pain gone. For size I would recommend half size larger. The wide width is adequate but personally I would prefer a bit wider (I ordered the wide shoe) so my toes had a bit more wiggle room. Overall these shoes are great and I would order again.

The cushion on the contend 5 is much springier than the 6 and 7. This shoe fits a bit more snug than the other models. I have older ASICs gel running shoes and this model is a lot tighter width wise but the same length. The foot ball area is wider but the space around the laces and ankle is definitely narrower than the other contend 6 and 7 models. Please note that for some reason the Asics contend 5, 6, and 7 has a deep heel base. The contend 5's base is deeper than the others. This causes the shoe to rub the back of the ankle if you have shorter heel height. I have to wear socks that cover my ankles completely otherwise I get massive rubbing wounds that take several days to heal. I like the shoe and am going to try it out to see if I can make it work as they feel pretty comfortable with the longer socks.

Loved my old ASICS & tried a different ASIC style since my old style was discontinued. The shoes looks great but not as much cushion as I would have hoped for.

I own another pair of Pumas in this size (7 1/2 M) but this pair just didn't work -- too much slippage in the heel. Other than that, they are cute and well made.

Toe box is too low (shallow). Bummed that they don't fit because I like how they look and the sale price was great.

I ordered this shoe in my normal size, 8, because they were similar to a pair of Asics that I already own. They were very comfortable; however, the color of this shoe was way too bright. And with the mesh toe, I thought they would be impossible to keep clean. So I returned them.

I ordered a half size larger as recommended. The wide wasn’t wide enough, my toes felt cramped.

The shoe is very comfortable until I walk. When the toebox bends, the edge of the faux leather pokes into my toe. The shoe is light, the blue beautiful.

I liked these and thought they were pretty good. Very good value for the price.

Bought these for my daughter for volleyball. They seem like they're going to work well for her.
