The toe box felt tight, so I returned for a larger size. Nice shoe, but not the right fit for me in a 8.5. Sometimes I'm a 9 especially with a thicker sock. So I should have ordered up

These are ok. Fits a little high on me in back. Not as comfortable as the other asics gel- venture 7.

I personally prefer the Gel Cumulus 20 for running. These aren't bad honestly, just not as comfortable.

Shoes are stiff, uncomfortable, in the toe box area, despite being the correct size. I'm hoping they become more pliable as I continue to wear them.

I wear Asics for tennis as well as walking and usually don't have problems with them "out of the box" but these needed a little break in period. When I first walked with them (about 3 miles), the back tab on the left foot felt like it was pressing into the skin ( I ended up with a bruise). The following day I walked with them and got a blister on my left heel and right middle toe. Went back to my old shoes for a few days. I bent the back left tab forward and backwards a few times and it seems to be ok now but I don't particularly care for the feel of the bottom cushioning. I feel like they are flat and not as cushiony as other models.

I don't think I have a wide foot but 5he regular width made my toes numb. Went up a half size and ordered wide. These fit great. I normally wear a 10.5, difficult size to fund in stores.

There is no arch support. Did not realize this when purchased. Online photos nor description give you enough information. Also, unlike my current Asics sole pad is not removable.

These were Wide shoes, but they fit more like regular-width shoes and not as roomy as other Asics that I have owned.

I am a true 5W and found these shoes tight. I tried them on at different times during the day, no difference. I checked the label twice to make sure they were 5W, they are marked as such. Unfortunately I will have to return them. My previous purchases of ASICS 5W and New Balance 5W fit perfectly. Guess it's just this particular style. They are attractive shoes and I really wanted them to fit! Thanks Zappos for your great return policy.

I took a chance because of the price, and the shoes are nice looking and fit fine. They just don't have enough support/stability for me. Asics says they are suited for neutral to overpronation. But I wore them just a short time and they do not seem that way. They also don't have the type of footbed I'm used to. I normally buy the GT2000, and will have to stick with that.

I normally wear a 6M in Saucony so based on reviews that the Contend 5 ran narrow and small I ordered a 6W and 6.5W. Neither worked. The Wide in this shoe definitely fits like a B/medium width, so width felt ok. But the very pointy toe style caused fit issues in both. Size 6 - my toes were very crowded even though it was a wide but more importantly the forefoot area seemed abbreviated and unbalanced, as if the arch was in the wrong place. Size 6.5 - more room in toes and more balanced forefoot but the very pointy "empty" tip was all distorted and bunched when I moved. In fact, these shoes did not look like any of the purchaser pictures. Returning to try another style. My shoe search is turning into a shipping saga.

As some other reviewers have said, I felt the shoe was a bit short. I consistently wear an 8.5 in all brands and think I need to size up by a half a size. Also, I agree that the toe box is too narrow (and I do not have wide feet). I will be returning these shoes.

These were cute and comfortable, but a little too plain for my liking. They also have a support at the back of the shoe that rubs against my Achilles and I could see them not being comfortable after long wear. I ended up choosing a pair of Adidas instead.

Even though that shoe was wide it was not wide enough for my wide foot. Still felt pretty narrow to me even in a wide width.

I recently started to get bad corns on both my pinky toes from friction, so wanted to get a wider sneaker that still had good arch support ( these do by the way). I am normally a size 8 and ordered a 8.5 since other reviews stated they do run about 1/2 smaller; the general sizing in the 8.5 was perfect but THEY RUN NARROW, I even ordered a wide and my pinky toes pushed against the fabric part of the sneaker. I am exchanging for a different sneaker, so in summary, pretty sneaker with nice get support be not only run small but narrow as well.

WIll probably return these. I've had many pairs of asics in 8 M. I ordered an 8 and returned it for 8.5. It didn't seem much longer. Then I returned the 8.5 for 8.5 W. It doesn't seem much wider. I will still put them on and walk around a bit. Haven't decided whether to take advantage of Zappo's 30-Day Runlimited Guarantee. They don't feel like they will last.

I do have wide feet, and in the past Asics 8.5 wides have been a good fit. Not sure what's changed, but these shoes were so tight I could see the outline of my toes in the top of the toe box. The length was fine. Sadly, will have to send them back.

I wear 8.5 shoe but always size up to 9 for tennis shoes. The fit on sides and heel are perfect and cushioning is just right...not too soft, but they have more of a pointed toe than Contend 4. My large toe is hitting the side and end due to the pointed shape...have to return.

I bought these sneakers in the black, and they fir lite a dream right out of the box (using my admittedly bulky orthotics). I was so thrilled I ordered them again in blue - the blue didn't fit at all - felt short, toe box was cramped, and rubbed on top sides of my feet. This is the SAME shoe - how can the fit be so dramatically different? I'm trying to decide if I should try a half size larger, or try a wide, - not sure what to do - any suggestions out there?
