The color is different in person. Not as breathable as I wanted. Very comfortable good support. I miss the days of trying shoes on.

These are pretty comfortable, I have foot issues and my feet tend to swell a lot but these were comfortable, even when my foot was swollen. I was able to walk without pain. They are a little heavier than I am used to but I think I will get used to it!

I have long skinny feet. I would normally take 11.5 Slim. It took a few days for my feet to become accustomed to these new shoes. Now they feel great. The arch support is in the right place for my arch. The cushioning is very good. I can tighten the laces to support my narrow feet. I prefer a dark navy shoe to minimize my very long feet. This color is ok; I'll change the laces from bright magenta to navy. In the end having a shoe that fits comfortably is the most important feature
I'd also recommend:
Not fussy about the brand. Fit is the most important thing for my 11.5 slim feet.

Shoe was a "wide"- and felt a little tighter in the toe width. Overall, seems comfortable but not enough to keep. I had ordered two pairs and the other pair that was the supposedly the exact same size fit much better! So I kept that pair.

I ordered a size 11 1/2 and they were too large. Unfortunately I had to return them. I loved the color and the weight of the shoe but it just didn’t work for me.

I usually wear 7.5-8 in shoes and go with the 8 for athletic shoes and boots. The 8 was too small so I tried the 8.5. One foot was perfect and the other was just a tad pinchy across the toes. One thing I've learned over the years is that I want my shoes to be comfortable right from the start and no more hoping they might get better... so back these went. Too bad, I love the look and the colors are fabulous (I tried two different colors and they were very true to what was shown).

It’s a plushy insides shoe. I got a fair market price. It’s like a basic model and has all the basic needs I would want. Tactile laces, plush yet also supportive and good traction. I have a feeling they won’t have super longevity but that’s why I said the price was fair. Some running shoes are low end price 100 dollars. It’s getting out of hand! I guess the rubber tree depletion warrants it. Fits spaciously for a thick sock because the material won’t protect from winter winds.

The backs rub a bit on the heel and that’s why I chose to go four starts out of five. I love the blue laces on grey, it’s a pretty shoe. The feel of them are nice on the foot when walking for short distances or standing. I wear them as an everyday shoe and they are great. I had to buy some dedicated walking shoes though since the heel rubs after a while.

Purchased the Gel-Contend 5 for my daughter who is on her feet ALL day at work. She said they are so comfortable and loves the color. My neighbor just purchased the same sneaker and loves them too. I did try them on, to compare the Gel-Kayano 25. We both agreed the Gel-Kayano 25 had more cushion.

I wear a size 10, have wide feet, and my feet overpronate when I move. I have two small kids, like to take daily walks, and am constantly on my feet. I needed a shoe that would give me support and help lessen the pain I feel in my feet at nights. These are doing the trick! I love the style, love the support, and have noticed a difference in my foot pain. I'm only 28, so I was concerned with not being able to find a "cute" shoe for my big feet. These are great, though. I don't feel like I'm wearing "orthopedic" shoes, if you know what I mean, but I'm getting the support I need. My only concern with them is the laces are a little short once I adjusted them for my feet. The shoes also feel snug at first, which was strange to me since they are "wide". But, I'm sure I just need to break them in. Would recommend these!

I've faithfully worn Asics for the past 20 years for running and working out. I've always worn the Gel Cumulus, but as I am now mainly running indoors on a treadmill, I thought I'd try and save a few dollars with the Gel Contend. I ordered a 7 regular width, and though the length was fine, the toe box left my toes feeling very squoshed, and headed for trouble. Returned them and exchanged them for the Cumulus in a 6 1/2 wide. No other complaints, a nice shoe for the price otherwise.

Very nice shoe and I wanted it like it so much but alas, it was too narrow, even for a wide. It was not like other wide shoes, more like a medium width. I tried with and without socks...just wasn't going to work...disappointed because it's such a good looking shoe; it would've been fine if it had been a true wide.
