The shoes is perfect, the size and width is true to size. The shoes is very light that gives a very soft impact while running and by having that light impact it pushes the runner without any extra energy. It is like liquid that gives you gliding into the pavement. It is a very well made shoes and has given the right track for the purpose of running. The weight is just enough and gives that bounce while not getting tired thru the distance.

Let me start by saying that i have supination and need a good supportive yet comfortable shoe and the brooks glycerin delivers. The support of the brooks glycerin is great. The comfort with respect to the cushion of the sole is a bit more stiff than my other pairs of brooks but still comfortable. the only issue i have with this particular style is the narrowness around the toe area. While the narrowness is noticeable, it is not a deal breaker. Aesthetically, the shoe is different from my other shoes. I like the hex graphics but not so much the oval markings over the toe area. Much more busy pattern than i am used to, but again, not a deal breaker. I am never disappointed with brooks and this shoe is another winner for me to keep in my rotation.

Wonderful shoes. Very comfortable right out of the box. So soft when running. They do seem to wear fast though. Completed running around 100 miles on them and the soles are wearing quite more than expected. Love that Brooks makes wide sizes. I bounce between the Ghost and Glycerin. They also smell more than other running shoes I've owned. Maybe not due to the shoe. Unsure.

Cushion wears down a little fast, but good arch support and comfortable overall.

The shoe fits wonderfully. True to size and snug as a sock. The laces cinch nicely and I don't much mind that they are flat rather than rounded. They stay tied even during long runs. They were easy to break in and have supported (and perhaps help reduce) some minor knee pain that I was experiencing while running. My only complaint is that the midsole has started to break down even after just 200 miles. Hoping that the midsole support would last a bit longer.

Overall a comfortable shoe. Slight discomfort in the arch but hoping it will go away after they are worn in.

2nd pair...tried a few other brand’s similar style but came back to these. Thanks to Zappos for allowing me to test drive a few other shoes. Definitely had to grab a pair at discount before the 18s come out. Hopefully they have more colorway options.

I've looked for a pair of comfortable wide-fit men's shoes for a while. In the past few months, I've returned a few pairs for being labeled wide but that didn't fit well. I tried these Brooks Glycerin 17's on and was instantly impressed with the fit; then I wore them all day and found myself smiling at just how comfortable these shoes felt. They are pricey, but I believe they'll turn out to be well worth the money.
I'd also recommend:

Felt little less cushiony compared to other glycerin shoes but it took me day or two to adjust to it. Great shoes for running and day to day walking.

The comfort is amazing. I have another of the same shoe and they literally at the most comfortable running or walking around shoe I have ever owned. The only thing I don't like about this specific shoe is the color. All black just looks old, like old man shoes. I like some other Brooks models with grey and black, but they do not come with a width selection. In a perfect world, Brooks would look at the style of this all black shoe and update it a bit or offer more shoes in different widths.

Still assessing but so far pretty good. I washed them once and they seemed to tighten up significantly and are still getting loose again from the wash. ... Give them a shot

Glycerine the shoe is phenomenal as always this is my 4th pair. The one star off is for the awful shoelaces for the night version. Become undone so easily, even with casual wear.

Bought this as a gift. Our son liked the fit except for pressure to the sides of the great toes. The other pair fit better.

Some Brooks shoes have an additional layer of material, under the laces area, that can be irritating to my feet, particularly when they swell. However, I am extremely happy with all of my Brooks shoes. I bought 4 different styles, all in black, for work. I suffer with bunions, hammer toes, and flat feet. The flexible mesh tops and the arch support accommodate my foot problems so I'm comfortable walking. Brooks is the only shoe I have found that I can wear with comfort all day.

Been wearing Glycerine's for years. Love em. The absolute only negative thing I have to say about them is that they're a little heavy. I hate to knock them down to 4/5 for that when it's not a huge deal, but it does keep them from being perfect. Great shoe; highly recommended for higher mileage training.

Best shore for comfort overall that I have ever owned. My only beef with this shows is the white on the bottom/sides dirty up so fast and they almost have too much arch support because my feet lean out (knees away from each other).

I work 10 hour shifts at a hospital which consists of standing and walking most of the day. These have been amazing in reducing the fatigue my lower legs and feet feel after standing for so long. I recommend them to all my coworkers. I deducted a star because these do not breathe very well. My feet tend to feel clammy at the end of a warm day, and I've never had that issue with other shoes.

Loved the Glycerin 15, used 3 pairs for multiple marathons. But the 16 I had to return immediately as it hurt to run even a mile. Gave the 17 a try and have run 2 pairs so far for 2 marathons, but I wish the 15 was still available

I love these shoes and purchased 2 pairs simultaneously. I'm 57 and average about 40 miles per week fast walking / light jogging and they are holding up nicely. I offered 4 out of 5 stars because they seem to run a bit tight for my foot. When worn barefoot they are perfect and that may be the preferred wear for distance runners. I use quality low cut style athletic socks which makes them slightly too tight. I moved to these for the additional cushion offered from the Ghost 11. The Ghost style most definitely has a roomier toe box. Perhaps you are thinking, hey bonehead, why didn't you just try them on?? Well, the Glycerin is Brooks' most expensive shoe and are not readily available at the big box stores near me so, I purchased them directly from the Brooks website which had the available colors I preferred. I'm coming up on 400 miles for each shoe and they are holding up nicely. I'm considering moving from size 11 to 11.5 for my next pair but still on the fence about that. NOTE: when I utilized the online fitting process it recommended I purchase a 10.5. I'm glad I didn't do that. Overall, the Glycerin is a spectacular shoe and my review is intended to provide some additional, real life information to future shoppers. This is my shoe moving forward from a mountain of competitors, I just need to tweak the size a bit for my particular foot anatomy. If you need the added cushion get yourself a couple pair of these!

Comfortable shoe, a little more snug than the Ghost and not as light. I will know more about it in a few months.
