I read the reviews but I ordered them anyway. I would say that I have a normal average size 8.5 - 9 foot and I don't like things tight. The loose heel did not bother me at all. I wore them all day and loved them. I especially like the non-slip bottom. I want cute shoes but can't wear heels anymore so I don't have any problems with these. I actually thought they made my feet look little! Yes they are loose but it didn't seem to bother my feet.

After reading other peoples reviews I was worried that these would be too big. Yes they are roomy, but I don't like my shoes tight. I wore socks with them all day today and loved them. I also like the support in them and the rubber bottoms so you don't slip on the snow and ice. I have fairly flat feet and I think pretty normal width and I am usually an 8.5 or 9. Lately I have been going with a 9 because I want to be able to move my toes around. I love these!

I love these shoes - they were just what I was looking for BUT I was walking out of them - they were too big in the heel area.....so I have to reluctantly return them..

I LOVED how these looked, but they just weren't comfortable. The heel was so wide that I couldn't walk without my foot basically lifting out of the boot. And I have wide feet! Had to return these, sadly.

These are adorable! I love them. The right one is a little tighter than the left, could be my feet but since they are leather I have no doubt they will break in. They seem very true to size. I’m a 9 in every day shoes and 9.5 for gym shoes. And the 9 fits well. Couldn’t wear them with super thick socks though!

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to keep these - the 6.5 was too large and the 6 was too tight. They are very nice looking boots. I love the color, which is very versatile. The leather was soft. I ended up getting similar Born booties that fit in my usual size.

I received these boots and at first was contemplating sending them back since they slipped in the heel a bit but I have been looking for boots without all kinds of chains, tassels, and other junk for a long time and haven't been able to find a pair that worked for my slightly wider foot. I wore these around the house for quite a while before deciding I was okay with them and I'm very glad I didn't send them back after all. I have worn these boots almost every day since I received them. They go with just about any outfit and since I bought the Taupe Distressed I feel like they also go with just about any color I wear. They don't have crazy amounts of arch support but they are very comfortable and your feet won't be unhappy if you wear them to do a good amount of walking.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and stylish. I read a number of the reviews and was hesitant to buy them because of the repeatedly mentioned issue of the wide heel. So, it IS somewhat wide, but not in a shoes falling off sort of way, in a just loose enough to be really comfortable sort of way. These are not hiking shoes; they don’t provide ankle support. But the footbed is extremely comfortable and they fit well right out of the box. Im a 7.5-8 in most brands but find that Born shoes usually run about a half to a full size large. Not in these boots though - I got the 8 and they fit very well. I got the distressed grey color and it matches everything. I also think that the ankle height is perfect - high enough to hide ankle socks but low enough to wear with leggings or skinny jeans and leave just the tiniest bit of skin showing. These will be my go-to booties this fall!

Per the other reviews I ordered a .5 size bigger which was too big. But either way the heal box on these boots is super wide and it pulls your sock down as well as there being a lot of movement in the heal. They are very cute boots but don't work for me

A good fit, I didn't order up or down. The leather is a little stiff and is taking several wears to break them in, but I love them. I needed a "tougher" everyday show for colder weather that I could wear all day long. The leather is thick like a Frye product and seems it would last a very long time, super happy with them!

I must return these cute boots. The toe is snug but when you walk the heel is so loose my foot almost slips out. I could not wear a smaller size. I've never had an issue like this. Weird construction for a high end shoe line. So sad.

Very comfortable. Make sure you allow the boots to warm up after delivery before trying them on, made a huge difference. I highly recommend them.

Love these-comfortable and stylish. They have a really soft footbed that’s slightly cushioned. The leather does have a distressed look so just be aware. Really enjoying them!

Great looking boots. At first I thought they were too big, but they weren’t- it’s just the style. There’s a lot of room around the ankle but they don’t slip off at all. I think it’s the wider top that gives the impression of being big. When walking around, I never feel like they’ll slip off. My toes are just the right distance from the front of the shoe when I push down on the top. That being said, short socks will slip down.

Material is leather and pretty soft. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and do to the larger toe are, I was able to grab a 9 and it is comfortable. I like these as there is enough room for heavier socks as well.

I will be returning this shoe even though I love the style. Other reviewers recommended going up a half size but they are too big. I will probably keep the size 8 even though, as others remarked, the heel is a little large.

I love these booties! They are the perfect greige color for fall. They work great for leggings or skinny jeans. I normally size up a held size in shoes to be safe but my normal 8.5 was perfect. Due to the style you do get some slippage in the heel but I can deal with that.

I have wide feet and was really happy to found that these were comfortable. Like others have said, the ankles are very loose and my foot moves around weird up there but somehow the shoes are still comfortable.

I was really looking forward to wearing these, should have listened to the reviews, they're so cute and I love the color, but the heal is way to big and as I wore them around the house with socks, I kept "stepping" out of the, so sad they didn't work out.

These are nice, casual shoes. Very comfy. Other reviewers mentioned sock-eating tendencies, and I did find that to be true, however, I swapped out the insoles with another set I had that are not as slippery and that problem seems to be gone. We'll see. They are very loose in the heels, but I'm hoping thick socks will make that a manageable issue.

I loved this boot so much. I was hoping they fit. But like some other reviews the heal was so wide and the toe box a little narrow. Oh I really love this boot but had to send them back. I was hoping to love these, but like other reviewers I found there to be way too much room in the heel. My foot slipped up and down with each step and felt like I'd have blisters in no time. It's a shame because the style and color are awesome!

The reviews were very accurate. The heel is a bit loose and ordering a size up or down won't help. But they are super comfy if you think of these shoes as wearing a moccasin and not a boot. I ordered a size 7.5 and 8 and am keeping the 7.5.
