Great casual boot. You need to like some nubuck color variation as the Tavar has moderate color variation...just enough for interest, I think. I typically wear an 8. It was clearly too small (and my pair of 8s also came with a stitching flaw). 7.5 was ok. Probably could have done a 7. Yes, your heel does move around a bit. Like it would in any loose ankle collared boot such as this. Sizing with Born has always been weird for my feet. Also ordered another Born ankle boots in 8. It was far too tight.

I ordered in a 7.5 (my regular size) and they were too big. I returned for a 7 which fit perfectly. I’d say they’re a half size too big. A little narrow in the toe box - but the style is so cute! I wore all day on my feet and the boots were comfortable.

Loved the style of these, but slipped up and down on my heels. Don't think I could have worn very long with that amount of slipping.

So comfy! These are my new fall/winter everyday shoes. I have wide feel and these felt roomy enough for a wool sock. Structured look but inside feel so good! Wore these for work on a casual day and felt like I was in slippers. So happy with them, and seem like they will only look better as they age.

I was really excited to get these. I had read all the reviews. And a few of those reviews mentioned that the shoe felt loose in the heel. I went ahead and ordered them anyway. I have to agree with those reviews. The shoes are really cute. But they are very loose fitting in the heel. So if you're okay with your heel slopping around in the shoe every with step that take, then I would say go ahead and buy them. They might fit more snug if worn with super thick socks. Good luck.

These are gorgeous boots. Wish I could have kept them but buying my usual size, the width was a little too snug and my heel was already slipping, so a bigger size wouldn't have worked. They might have stretched but I didn't want to take that chance. They are about the prettiest-looking boot ever.

I was hesitant based on previous reviews, and when I first put them on I thought I would send them back, but walked around in my house for a bit and it did not take long to become very used to them. They feel different than most shoes, but now that I have worn them for a bit I don't really notice it and they are very comfy. The loose heel was a bit odd to start but my feet do not regularly come out of them (but they do slip off easily enough when I want them too without having to unzip them, but they have never come off without my trying to get them off). Overall I really love these and wear them almost every day at work.

I usually wear a 10-10.5, went with size 11 and glad I did, the gap around the ankle is a bit big but have found that when wearing thicker sox it's perfect.

When I first got them the fit was great. Now that I have worn them for a bit they seem to have stretched a bit.

Loved the casual look of these boots, but they ran quite large. Had to return them.

I'm so happy! These are super cute, not in a flashy, "Look at my new boots!" way. The distressed rust is great with jeans and fits my rural life. I normally wear 6 to 6.5 wide. I ordered both sizes; the 6.5 gives me plenty of room, which I like! They are very comfortable! Thank you Zappos!

I loved the shoe but it was way too big. I wear an 8 M and sometimes an 8 W. I purchase an 8 M and found my foot slipping out of this bootie. I reordered a half size smaller and hope it fits. I do love the look of this boot.

This is a beautiful boot but as the other reviewers said, heel is wide and my foot slips with every step. I don't usually have this problem so I decided to try for myself. It was bad enough that I don't think I can wear them, so unfortunately, have to return them. Disappointed!

I am an 8.5 wide or 9 regular, so I ordered an 8.5 & 9 to see which worked for me. These are sooooo cute, but like all of the other reviewers, the toe box was snug while the heel was very loose. The heel was so loose on both that even wearing thick socks would not fit the problem. I was super bummed because the shoes are just so cute. Sadly, I had to return both.

I have owned a lot of Born boots over the years and this bootie is very roomy in the heal so I needed to go down a size. Easy on and off, there are zippers on both sides of the shoe but they slide off very easily. I love the color, Taupe Distressed.

Comfortable right out of the box.

The left boot is perfect but the right boot seams really wide in the heal. My right foot is a bit shorter but I've never had this problem with any other Born shoe. I'll make them work because I love them.

Sadly, another Born boot that is just a smidge too small for my size 11 (sometimes 11.5) feet. The style is great - simple, yet fashionable. I am going to take them to my local cobbler to see if they can help me stretch them out at all. I really, really hope they can! I'll try to update my review, if possible.

I agree with the other reviewers on this bootie...they are cute but the fit is really weird in the heel. My foot was constantly slipping every time I walked and I know I couldn’t do a half size down. Unfortunately they have to go back for something that fits better.

Generally a good shoe. Very loose at the ankles if you need space. (I have wider ankles than some)

I loved these booties but unfortunately I have to send them back I ordered a 6 1/2 and they were too large so I ordered the 6 they arrived today but they are too tight. Super cute booties but sizing is off.
