This type of hat tends to be pretty warm, and this one is reasonably warm. The quality was ok, not great. I got it for 20 bucks, which is about what it should cost. I'm glad I didn't pay "full price." The water repellant outer fabric may work well (haven't worn it in wet weather yet), but the downside is it gives it a cheaper look/feel.

I'm pretty happy with this Trapper Hat! At first I was a bit thrown off because the main body of the cap (non furry parts) was thinner than I expected, but that doesn't seem to have much impact on the warmth. I have quite a large head (4 slice toaster) and can have a hard time finding a good fitting hat. The L/XL was a bit snug, but not uncomfortable and seemed to stretch just a bit after a few wearings. I'm impressed with the feel of the faux fur. Feels fairly close to the real thing without feeling too "plasticy". We had a few single digit days with double digit negative windchill and this hat performed like a champ! Not a full 5 star ranking though, because I'm not sure how the thinner main body of the hat will last over time. The exterior material seems durable enough though.

Thought it would be warmer for below zero temperatures.

Good quality construction but not as warm as I was hoping due to it covering only the top of my head but not the base or where my head hits my neck. I've had this exact type hat before and been much happier with its warmth and size from other brands. I'm 5'1 and petite and the S/M wasn't a good fit which is never the case otherwise.

It is very nice and comfy, but runs small, and I ordered the XL.

It is a good product, but I was expecting way more because it is Columbia. In the picture, the fur looks awesome but the one I receive is a huge mess. I still have to see how it works during Winter. I think it will do the job.

This hat may work for some but not for me. Found the "fur" around the face too long and close to my eyes.

Purchased this hat in white, s/m. Really wish this came in just a small. Very cute, but the chin strap was still too loose even on the tightest of the two snaps and then the extra strap material stuck out awkwardly and stiffly on the side. I considered taking it to my seamstress to trim off the excess, but then there would not be the extra length to snap the ear flaps back up over the head. I did return it. This hat is super cute though! Hopefully a new design is on the horizon for those of us who have a smaller head:)

Bought this somewhat as a joke. Pretty impressive though. Warm and goes well with my winter wear. Just too snug even though I bought size L/XL. Got a buzz cut a couple days before it arrived. There's no way it'll fit should I let my hair grow long again. And the strap fits awkwardly as well. Gave it away.

I bought this hat in L/XL for a 15 y.o boy. It looks nice, but feels more like kids size, it does not cover the head on the back, does not go all the way to the neck. I guess it will be better for smaller heads.

I bought this hat for my husband thinking L/XL would fit him. It didn't say it was a child's hat. Well, it perfectly fits my 8 year old daughter. Wouldn't come even close to fitting my husband. Very disappointed
