The hat looks great with the ears down or up. The hat keeps your head and sides of your face super warm with the ears down and if you get too warm you can always flip the ears up and snap them together. The only thing is the front fur patch is huge and takes up the whole front of the hat but it doesn't really bother me. It still looks great.

I LOVE this hat!!! Its soft and comfortable and perfect for blowing snow for my Michigan winter. It has a snap at the bottom if you choose to snap it on for security but it is also very cute to have the flaps up and keep your head warm. Would definitely recommend and purchase again!

I was looking for a warm hat for walks on windy cold days and this is perfect. I am happy that I purchased the LargexLarge because it fits perfect and not too tight. I usually wear medium hats.

Feels lite in but keeps you very warm. Great hat.

Recently bought this for a turn around trip to Big Bear. My ears always get really cold and I hate it. Saw this fashionable yet very functional Hat and it worked just as expected. The Hat kept my ears warm, very lightweight, soft and the buttons functions were easy to use. One thing is when you strap in over your ears you do hear a little less.

This hat is awesome and you should definitely get it. All of my friends are jealous and wish they had half as cool of a hat.

White tapper hat-Very warm, takes the place of a hood, in case your jacket does not have one. 10 degrees with wind- no problem. It is a little large, got the s/ m size but I wear a small hat size, 6 and 3/4. Better a little large than too small.

I have a trapper that is made of fabric and the wind usually goes right through the material, so I was really looking forward to using this trapper from Columbia. It is a great looking trapper and it is very warm, but, I will not be able to use it, it is very small. I think I have a average sized head and a few people in my house tried it on, and it looks awkwardly tiny on all of us. I will probably give it away to one of my toddler nephews.

The hat most definitely keeps you warm in winter weather. It fits great and that burgundy color I purchased is beautiful!!

I purchased 2 of these hats for my girlfriend & I this winter. I've had a few hats this style but this one is by far the best quality ! The faux fur almost feels real without hurting any critters! Definitely recommended if you want to keep warm in the winter!

Good product. I ordered S and it just fits my head -- maybe runs just a bit small but it's still good.

Love this hat. We went to UT from Tx this holiday and it was great in the UT cold.

If you need a trapper type hat, you can't go wrong with this one. In addition to being warm, with the faux fur, it's totally washable. My Mad Bomber hat with real fur, calls for having it cleaned using the fur process and my dry cleaner won't touch it. Won't have that problem with this one. Thanks, Columbia!

I'm a baby to the cold, I'm from Miami and travel up to Colorado every winter. Finally decided I'm tired of freezing to death and invested in a whole new winter set up! This hat was part of my new buy and I can say that I love it, I'm a smaller woman 5'3 and 120 pounds and the small fit me perfectly, my boyfriend tried it on and it was a little tight on him; he's 5'9 and 175 pounds.

It is very warm and fits well with ski goggles.

Since I spent a good amount on it I feel compelled to get over the irritating hairlike stuff on forehead and ears! Sometimes it goes right into the ear canal and is a pain in the you know what, but I'm determined to make it work. I have to say that it's so warm that on the coldest day so far I've actually sweared after a 1/2 mile walk( but I'm not exactly in marathon shape!) It's a warmth level 10 out of 10 though and I will wear it below 0F!

So much better than a beanie style cap in really cold conditions, your head feels warm and cozy, even cuddled. Wearing this on your head really helps identify you in a crowd too, in a good way. Perfect for you if you're shoveling or blowing snow in the driveway or walkways. Need to take the dog for a walk on a cold or snowy day too. Going to an outdoor event, perfect ! And if you're listening to music, wearing earbuds or EarPods, it's like an enclosed wall of sound, improves the sound quality. I'm not discarding my beanie, but this is incredibly warm and comfortable when it's really cold. Keep your head warm, these aren't expensive and are actually a good value. Very well made and you'll own this item for years.

I am very pleased with the quality and design of my new Trapper Hat! It fits my head perfectly and now I finally feel like I'm ready for winter. My ears (which were always cold last year) are completely covered with the Trapper. It ties on securely and should keep me cozy in the strongest wind.. The stylish faux fur trim frames my face and really dresses up my green barn jacket. In fact I selected the green hat as it blends with the jacket. All in all this hat does everything that I hoped it would do.

so much helping thtoug cold weathed. no more worries for my cold ears :)
