I live on the border between the U.S. and Canada. It was -20 in the winter and could freeze your face. This one covers your face and keeps my face warm. The fur (not sure what fur it is) is really comfortable and warm. It would be nice if Columbia could disclose what fur it is.

Have not used during cold weather, but expect it to function well. It is made of quality materials and appears to meet or exceed the standards that I have come to expect from Columbia over the many years that I have used their products with complete satisfaction.

The trapper hat I purchased is exactly what I was looking for. It fits perfect, its light so you don't even know you're wearing it but at the same time its extremely warm. It feels nice and soft and looks great .

I cannot tell you how much I love this hat. It is a little funky in design, but oh so warm. I sit at outside games (my husband is official) and my head finally stays warm, and the wind does not penetrate to my ears. It is fun looking, but super functional.

I have a rather large head and the L/XL fit a little snug. So if you have a large head and want a little more breathing room for this hat go one size up from what you would normally do. Great construction and style. Fits everyone else perfectly LOL - my wife loves it.

This hat is very warm but runs small. I got size L/XL and it's a little tight compared to other hats. Can't beat the price though. If you don't have a huge head like me then you will love this hat.

I love this hat so much, I would marry it. I adore the flap snap to keep them up and out of the way when I'm not using the earflaps and I love that when they are down I can snap it under my chin to keep the wind from stealing my hat and freezing my ears. It is so warm and comfortable. I bought the blue one and it's a nice color. It's also easy to pull a hood up over if need be without too much effort (no ball to catch on or decorative stuff to get stuck on).

Very nice and very warm trapper hat. I use it while steelhead fishing in Oregon during the winter. These style hats muffle noise but that is the trade off for having warm ears! I wear a L/XL baseball hat and the L/XL size of this item fits me perfect.

I bought this hat sort of for amusement sake, with the furry faux fur and all. But it actually is amazingly warm and functional, particularly in a COLD WIND. The fur insulates your ears, inside and out, from the cold and feels amazing. And the outer shell really blocks the wind. On a cold, blustery day with wind chill in the teens, you'll appreciate having it.

It's a great colot, feels durable and works great, it really works great for the outdoors, wind proof and super warm!

Bought one for my boyfriend and myself. We both love these hats! They fit well, and are VERY warm. We have worn these shoveling and hiking. The snap on the chin is very useful in windy weather, but you can snap the flaps over your head if you get too warm. I would definitely buy this again. Wish I had them in more colors!

I don't normally wear hats but I thought I would give this hat a try. I love it. It is both warm and fashionable. I ordered the black/brown hat. My husband says it looks nice with my blond hair.

I absolutely love this hat, and it looks wonderful on. I can't wait to wear it outside. It's really beautiful, and since I got it in white I can wear it with anything.

I bought two of these Columbia Classic Trapper Hats; one each for me and my wife. The hats fit perfectly and are fully rain and snow repellent. Mine does a wonderful job of keeping the frost off my bald head and my ears. Nothing is more painful than read, aching frozen ears. The sewn in fur muffs will keep your ears toasty and pain free; even on the most bitter cold days. My wife and I love these handsome and very stylish trapper hats.

Just perfect for keeping your head warm and dry and your ears warm. Very cute style and lightweight. It looks really nice with the flaps up also. I would buy this again or for presents.
