I felt these to be very rough feeling and my feet were very tired and sore at the end of the day. Sending them back but due to zappo's wonderful exchange policy i now have a different salomon and seems like it is going to work out fine. Hope to fine another pair for a change.

I purchase this hiking shoes last week and wore it for an easy trail this Saturday which was a sunny day, no rain and ground was dry. So I slipped on the rock path to the restroom , and twisted my ankle for the first time in my life after so much hiking . I don't know if I should blame the path or the shoes, the fact is just as above.

I got these a while ago and have worn on a lot of day hikes, city walks, between 3-7 miles a walk. They at first seemed great, I bought them ache was just getting used to them. But now i think somehow these make my Achilles heel and lower calf tight. I have to roll out my calves a lot after I take them off, and I dread wearing them now. Also, while they say they're slim, I found I really needed to tighten the laces to feel secure in them. And my feet are not narrow at all, and I have a high instep and high arch.

CONS: Cannot wear these with ankle socks; as you walk, the shoe gobbles up your socks and wads them under your foot. I have to adjust the sock a lot. This effect is especially bad up hill. I find I only want to wear these with long socks (mid-calf). I have had multiple other pairs of Salomon shoes with the special loop lacing and I find those pairs work a lot better than this model. I don't think these look very good on my feet, somehow they look kinda clown shoes, they look less flattering in big sizes than other Salomon shoes. PROS: They are truly waterproof. The comfort of the shoe is ok, but not as good as other Salomon shoes.

These shoes are hideous looking. I've had many Salomon shoes previously; I love the brand. But the style of this clunky, putrid-colored shoe would better suit a man, if anybody.

I got these last fall, so no time to try them before I was in hiking boots for the winter. I started wearing them regularly in about mid-April and my feet are killing me, even when I'm not in them. I have had plantar fasciitis in the past and thought I was over it, but the last couple of months has brought it roaring back. I need something with the same support as Bean's knife-edge boots, but I can't seem to find it. I didn't want to wear my boots all summer, too, but now I probably will. Additionally, the mesh is already pulling away from the solid part around the toe. Not what I was expecting from a $140 pair of shoes after only a few months of use. Disappointed.

While there was a "wide" paper on the top of this shoe, it seemed as narrow, or more narrow, than standard-width tennis shoes.

Well, the size 12 was too short for my 12.5-13 feet, so I won't hold that against the product, and in fact, other than the length, it felt pretty comfortable. However, this shoe wasn't quite what I was expecting. Although the lighter weight is desirable, I would describe this shoe as "insubstantial," more like a sheath than a structured, protective trail shoe. All of the design you see is like a painted-on rubber. Maybe that lends itself to great water-proofing, but it wasn't what I want on my feet on a trail, and it didn't feel like it would wear well. I find the high price-point surprising. YMMV...

Other than being way too big really liked this shoe!! But I got gifted 1 pair size 7 Euro 38 2/3. Then bought 6.5 EU 38 and still could have gone another 1/2 size down. So way to big for sizing!! Shoe all around was nice enough to buy s 2nd pair, but poss a manufacturer defect that they are so big?? So buy atleast 1/2 size smaller!

Very cute shoe but was so large I honestly thought I had ordered the men's size 8 by accident. But the label clearly said women's 8 and the euro size was also what I wear. Easily had about 2" of extra room in the tow box.

I purchase a pair of these shoes earlier this year as I already had a previous years (2020) model and had been so pleased with them I wanted to get another pair to use for a 6 month cycling tour. The first downpour that I experienced my socks at the front/side toe box were wet within minutes. I couldn't believe it as the older version had kept my feet bone dry for hours in the same downpours. It only leaves me to think that perhaps different materials had been used in the manufacturing process. Its a shame because everything else about the shoe i.e. fit and comfort are perfect for my feet but they are definitely not waterproof and I made sure to buy the GTX version.

I wore these shoes for two weeks while traveling, and got a fungal infection from the lack of airflow. Have never had this in my life but wearing these and hiking/walking with the lack of airflow was alarming how quick my feet would be damp with sweat. As a lifelong trail runner and hiker I was particularly alarmed. I have never been so disappointed in a pair of Salomon's before in my life.

I tried these shoes on in the store and liked them. Unfortunately when I tried them on again at home I couldn't figure out where this squeaky sound was coming from. It was the Fabric used in the shoe. Sounded like a dog toy what has the crinkle material inside it. Returned them. So disappointed.

I wish I could give this shoe higher points.. The shoe is comfortable but fell apart after 4 months. Very disappointed. Usually, my shoes last 12 months. I am now looking for a new pair of shoes and it won't be this brand.

I had two pair of these in eight months. The front nylon loop wears through from the thin laces. The laces start stripping in two months. I returned the first pair and it was replaced. The second pair did exactly the same. I have worn so and for five years daily and the first three pair lasted over a year each and I wear them daily. I was very disappointed.

I ordered an 8 wide width. My feet are size 7.5 extra wide so I always need to go up half a size and go wide to get a proper fit. My toe area is wide however my heel is not wide. These shoes are narrow, not wide at all. The only thing "wide" about these shoes is the little sticker the company put on the laces that says "wide". Otherwise they are more narrow than some medium width shoes I have tried on. They did stretch around my foot, but the base of the shoe was digging into the sole of my foot. Basically my foot was hanging over the edge of the base of the shoe everywhere. Unfortunately I have now tried all 6 or so pairs of hiking shoes that Zappos carries in a women's wide width, and none of them worked for me this time. I will move on to trying men's sizes next.

wear an 8.5 and have other salomon in 8.5 but these run big at the heel. they fit fine around the toes, and would not fit if i got a smaller size, but the heels of my feet would come out about 1/4" which i know would make hikes difficult. so i'm returning. the quality is also cheaper in comparison to other salomon shoes i've had. these are also not very comfortable. recently i bought Sonic 3 Balance but they didn't last even 3 months of wear = poor quality. tired of companies making poor quality products and charging a lot :(
