I am a woman's 7.5 and I usually purchase my running/hiking shoes a half size larger. When I received these shoes in a size 8, they were huge, so I returned them for a woman's 7.5, which fit much better, but still had room in the toe, but when I went online, they were sold out in a woman's 7, so I kept them. I recommend purchasing these shoes in 1/2 size smaller than your true shoe size.

These shoes fit longer and wider than most shoes of the same size. Loved the color and design. Just way to big

I ordered these in black, and size 11 because the only other pair of Salomon shoes I've owned were too short in a 10.5. These were way too long! Too much room in the toe and the heel slipped like crazy. I returned them and ordered the same shoes in 10.5 and they're way too narrow. Crazy. If there were a "baby bear" size--just right--these would be great shoes.

These felt pretty comfortable, but they were really big (at least a whole size larger) compared to my other Saloman shoes.

I have 3 pairs of the high tops in this model. They are heavenly to wear. Based on that experience, I thought a low top pair would be fine for traveling. Unfortunately, these shoes are smaller and more narrow than the high tops in the same size. Why? I don’t know. If you have more narrow feet, this style might work for you. But not for me. Sadly returning. Zappos gets A+ for customer service for free returns & exchanges. I wear W size 9M

These fit well, and very very watertight. My major problem with them was how fast the treads wore down. After a few months, they were basically flat on the bottoms in several places and became unreliable on slippery trails. I was averaging a few miles a day in them doing moderate hikes. Now that it's been a year, they've ceased to be waterproof and I'm looking for replacements.

First the good about these shoes - they have good support and are not heavy to wear. I wear them for walking the dog on a local trail system that is part paved and part grass/woods trails. The shoes do really well on both parts of the trails - good traction. Now for the not so good - they didn't stay waterproof for me. At first, they were and then very quickly they were not. I am just walking in wet grass too, not traversing streams or going through large puddles or anything like that. I will also say that Salomon has replaced these shoes under their warranty program, which I really appreciate. But, if the shoes can't keep my toes dry, I am going to end up with a bunch of shoes that do most of what I want from a trail sneaker, but not an important part, which is keeping my feet dry! Your mileage may vary? I walk 4+ times per week in these, so they get heavy usage.

I wear a size 5-1/2. The shoe was light, comfortable, and had good arch support, but I felt like I was coming out of the heel a little when I walked in it. As a result I returned the shoes. If you are between sizes, I recommend ordering 1/2 size lower.

I think Salomons run big. I typically wear an 8.5 in running sneakers and an 8 in shoes. Per Zappos recommendation, I ordered these in an 8 and they are just slightly bigger than I’d like. I have an older pair of Salomons (different style) in a 7.5 and prefer they way they fit. I kept these in an 8 as the 7.5 were not available. As far as comfort, they are ok. I am a casual hiker, and use they more often when walking my dog when it’s wet out. They are not as comfortable as my running shoes.

Salomon is often good for me with my slightly wide foot. I also need a roomy toe box (bottom to top) due to my high instep, and these shoes don't cut it. The top mesh pushes down on my toes which is really annoying. They just aren't "tall" enough near the toes. Otherwise, the width and the heel to forefoot drop are perfect, and a good amount of support and stability. They almost worked!

I usually wear an 8.5 and when I received these in the mail they were waaaay too big. I reordered in an 8 and they are still big-my heel lifts.

I should have listened to other reviewers saying this shoe runs large. Usually a true 8, I needed a 7.5 which is not in stock. Returned.

I got a 9.5 and that's what I typically wear. There's an odd ridge on the heel that rubbed immediately upon putting them on. I know it'd be a blister before I made it half a mile. The color is my favorite, but the heel ruined them, there should not be a seam/ridge on the heel.

Although I love Salomon shoes for the support they provide my extremely flat feet, this pair was poorly made and started peeling at the toe after about 3 months of regular but not extreme use. I've worn Salomons for at least 10 years & always have at least 2 pairs in different styles in rotation. I wear them for daily walking and exercise bike riding, also for traveling through airports about 2-3 times per year. I've owned this pair about 6 months. It looked great in black for traveling. But, at about month 3, some of the material on the toe started peeling off on one shoe. I downgraded it to a dog-walking shoe. Not the level of quality I expect from Salomon. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 only because of my long experience with the brand.

I LOVE this shoe until a bump developed underneath the right most ball of my foot. Now the the interior footbed of the right shoe is unwearable:(
