I've had this shoe for a month and have found that it is great for hiking or even just walking the dog in the snow. I even wore it yesterday as a trail running shoe in the snow. The gore-tex is a game changer. It's also a warm shoe.

These boots are simply the best. No blisters, no need to break them in. Super lightweight. Had to wear them in a snowstorm the other day and they were completely waterproof. I think I'm going to proactively restock so I have them for years to come!

I have a hard time finding durable narrow hiking boots, and this one is just perfect. It is light and has taken me on many 16 - 18 mile hikes with no problems. Tried them with snowshoes and gators and I stayed dry! I am going to buy a second pair before the model disappears.

I am 62 years old, have been an active outdoor enthusiast all my adult life, and worked in the woods, rivers, streams, and desert for over 30 years, which required good boots. I have only once had boots that fit and performed well. This pair of Salomon's is my second pair. I have always struggled to find boots to fit as I wear a 12 Narrow, a size that very few companies make. These boots fit perfectly. No longer does my foot twist and turn in the boot. They are extremely light-weight and yet are sturdy enough for off-trail hiking on steep, rocky terrain. I did not rate the boot for durability as I have only worn them for a couple months, so we'll see how they hold up.

I bought these because I needed a solid mid-rise hiking boot due to my weak ankles. These offer decent ankle support and are extremely comfortable with great traction. They wear like a tennis shoe but perform like hiking boots. Light weight, comfortable, and so far durable.

Have had a couple good hikes and they worked great. Didn't take much to brake in so was able to use right away. Have done different hikes and worked great in all conditions. Very comfortable and gripped great.

I cannot begin to sing the praises of these boots. They are sturdy, lightweight, incredibly comfortable, supportive, and durable. They are wonderful boots, and when I wear out the tread on my current pair, I will buy the same model again. I am obsessed with these boots!

I really like the softness and lightweight of this boot. I'm not a fan of stiff hiking boots and these aren't but still offer a ton of ankle support. The material is very durable and the waterproofing works great. My feet also do not get too hot even with the GORE-TEX membrane. I typically wear a size 8 in street shoes and sometimes will go up a half size with hiking boots but with these I didn't, there was a good amount of extra toe room.

Comfortable out of the box. This has a firm ride, so it is not overly squishy if you are looking for that. However, it is very comfortable and felt great immediatelyI usually hike in them several times per week and have felt they were awesome in all terrain. I would highly recommend.

These are comfortable right out of the box. Wearing them in the house this weekend, then using them for a 10 day trip out west. I think I will be very happy on the feel of these.light weight! Not sure if I can get heavy socks in them, but I did buy thinner wool socks for my trip.

I'm extremely happy with this boot. I'm used to wearing full leather, heavy duty boots for my hikes but I decided it was time for something lighter in weight. I was hesitant at first because I was worried about stability and durability. My first adventure with these boots was hiking up 3 Finger Jack. Because they were lighter in weight I felt like I had more energy than usual. I stopped by some creeks to cool off and to get the trail dust off my shoes. It was super nice with the gortex liner because my feet felt the ice cold water, but they stayed completely dry. The top of the hike has unstable rocky terrain and I was concerned about rolling my ankle because the boot is softer than I'm used to but I was pleasantly surprised that the boot held my feet and ankles where they needed to be. After the trip I still felt like I had a few more miles left in me instead of feeling sluggish and dragging my feet.

My first salomon shoe purchase and I am in love. I love how they feel like socks around my feet and just an extenion of my body. My feet never tire in them and I'm ordering another pair. Also the waterproofing is amazing!

Boot was easy to break in, ordered a half size up and the boot fit perfectly from the start with one pair of hiking socks. Love the lightweight and structure of the boot.

Excellent shoes; they're light weight and durable. I wish they had a non-waterproof boot version, but other than that, it seems perfect. I usually wear Merrells; I'm a size 7 and usually get a 7.5. However, with these, I ended up getting a size 7 which fit the same as my 7.5 Merrells. I've been hiking during the summer and so far, my feet haven't been terribly hot, which was something I was worried about (since waterproof shoes tend to run a bit hotter).

Yes they ARE waterproof - altho the outside gets wet & takes a while to dry. BUT my feet stay dry - first pair of boots (supposedly waterproof) that truly are. I have to say the insoles that came with the boots are very thin but my orthotics make the difference. They are comfortable & supportive.

I highly recommend you do the size guide as they are accurate to that, I am a standard 5 but came out as a 6 on these and they were the perfect fit. They are light and comfortable, waterproof and stylish. There is full soft padded support around the ankle, your feet will feel supported and aerated on long hikes. They are simply great on and I love them. The quality is so well thought of. I highly recommend and have worn on numerous long hikes with no issues. My constant rave has led my friends to purchase Salomon products where the quality is excellent.

These boots were roomy for me, which will be good in the winter with my thicker socks. I wore them on their first hike today, which was an overall easy 6 mile hike with a 1-mile rock scramble. The boots were great on all terrain. Extremely comfortable, and no slippage despite being a little roomy. Although I can't vouch for wear over time, they have definitely started strong!

Honestly incredible shoes. I have a chronic ankle issue and I feel so sturdy in these. Really great grip for almost any terrain (I've tested them in deep mud, ice, and rocky peaks). They're super light and breathable, but also waterproof. If you do get them super wet by say, stepping in super deep mud like me, they dry really quickly. HIGHLY recommend!

When I was fitted for hiking boots they recommended these because I wear a women's 11, but my feet are very narrow. I took the risk of buying them new before a week of hiking in Patagonia. They were perfect! No blisters, great grip on all kinds of terrain, super lightweight, dried fast after rain and rivers. My only complaint is that the tongue has too much fabric and bunches up. It didn't cause pain, just annoying. Overall, would highly recommend!
