Although these shoes are very comfortable, light weight and breathable, they are NOT waterproof or even water resistant for that matter. I live in the Pacific NW. The first time I wore these outside, it was not raining but the ground was wet from previous rainfall. My feet were soaking wet when I returned. If you are hiking in dryer climate, then these will be great but do not even consider them if you will be experiencing rain or wet trails. Disappointed for sure.

I'm obsessed - I bought these in both colors! I most often wear size 6, but the 5.5 fit like a glove.

I’m usually a Merrell girl, but they were out of stock in my size. I took a chance on these and was pleasantly surprised. Comfy straight out of the box and had no pain or blister issues when I took them on their 8 mile maiden voyage. That hike had some shallow river crossings, and they are in no way waterproof, but they are fast drying. Would definitely repurchase.

Bought these bad boys about a month ago before a move up to Washington, knowing I'd be hiking often in wet weather.
Took them up and around Mt. Baker straight out of the box and they killed it. Passed through streams, waterfalls, snow fields, and my feet remained dry the entire time.
Also, these boots feel like tennies and I'm stoked on them. I ran down the last few miles and they were light, stable, and did their job well.
The run a BIT big, but are true to width.
Also, I added inserts, so I am not 100% sure how the normal fit is with their insole.
As far as durability, I am interested to see how these hold up over time.

The sizing on ZAPPOS is messed up - I ordered a womens size 9, wanting an EU 40. I got a mens size 9, EU 41.33. If only Zappos would permit ordering European shoes in European sizes, this problem would not occur. As the exchanges system uses the same misinformation, I will have to return and purchase elsewhere.

I am so in love with these boots. They are light weight, comfortable, water proof. Can't say one bad thing, so happy I purchased them!

I have had these for 1.5 years now, ad used them in the summer and the winter. They are perfect for all temperatures (if you sock accordingly). They are truly waterproof with both snow and water. They didn't take long to break in, and they are truly the most comfortable hikers I've ever worn. They are more on the narrow side, but I have a wide foot and I still love them. They definitely need crampons or ice spikes for winter hiking, but they work great with them, and aren't slippery on rocks in the summer. Can't say enough good things about them! And they're cute... so like what else could you want?!

Put them on and what first seems to be a snug fit will change as these Salomon Outline Mid GTX mould to your feet. Glad I didn’t return them. They are super comfy as I hike in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.

My low volume narrow long feet have finally landed in a boot that fits. On the measuring device (Brannock?) I measure an 11.5 3A, so I didn't have a lot of hope. They might be a skosh short if you're actually a 12, but everyone's feet are different -- some spreading more than others. I haven't tested them on a hike yet, but right now I'm jut grooving on having a pair that fit while I walk around our town. The toe box isn't so voluminous that I slide around, which was my main concern. I cinched the laces fairly snug, and my heel stays in place. So glad Salomon has different fits like this slim fit that goes up to a woman's 12!

Just got these so I can’t review performance just yet. So far comfort: 5 stars; looks; 5 stars; sole/tread; 5 stars (I’m very particular about tread not being too smooth). I usually take 6 or 6.5 (older Ahnu hiking boots are 6.5; current ASICS running shoes are 6.5). Got these in 6 as it was “recommended” size, and 6.5 was unavailable. Nice that insole is removable, if desired. Fit seems very good so far with a thin sock, so I’d say they are a tiny bit on the large side. Not sure they are waterproof but I mostly hike in fair weather. The only slight negative so far is that the tongue doesn’t seem to be quite wide enough to seal the front of the boot. Bottom line; comfy, super light, good-looking casual hiker with excellent tread.

I have taken these out just a few times on the trail this spring and I am already in love! They have all the functionalities of a bulky high traction hiker, but they are sleek and elegant! So far they have proved themselves well and I really didn't even have to break them in. I am very happy with this purchase and cant wait to take them out for some summer backpacking.

I wanted to shoe to trek for Jordan. The terrain is pretty varied and I wanted something as comfortable as trainer but with the added support for downhills. Temperatures also vary so I didn't want sweaty feet in the middle of the desert. I was blown away by these the first time I used them as was so smug that I could get away with one pair of shoes that did everything for the whole trip. This is my favorite shoe to pack for mini weekend micro adventures and its also waterproof.

I’ve ordered a 1/2 size down. 9.5 feels too large. When looking at the label the Euro size is 42, definitely too large. Hoping the next 1/2 size down fits better...! Besides that, I like that they are light weight and am counting on them being waterproof! Will know only after I wear them in the rain.

Super lightweight and generally comfortable. Looks great too. I could not get the right balance of arch support with my inserts although the inserts fit in nicely. It would be a great light hiking shoe for people that don’t need quite as much arch support as I do.

Since there was NO lacing at the ankle, the shoes slipped on my heel--even though I don't have a narrow heel. The material pressed down uncomfortably on my toes. Therefor they were returned.

I bought these boots back in February 2023 for a hiking trip in Glacier NP. I also wear them for weekend hiking trips. Now that they are fully broken in, I can say they check off all the boxes. They are a great fit and have excellent support for long hikes. They were really put to the test this past weekend when I was hiking in the rain. It rained all day and my feet remained dry.

This is the second pair of salomon hikers I have purchased. I put these on and they immediately felt like I have worn them forever. Went hiking very soon after purchasing them and absolutely love them.

I love everything about these boots. So lightweight and comfortable. Most brands of hiking boots are too wide for my feet. These Salomon boots fit perfectly on the narrower side with being an actual narrow size. Thrilled that the color is navy because this is the color of most of my pants and shorts. I highly recommend.

I've completed 75 hikes last year in these boots. I normally wear 5 in street shoes and 6 in running shoes. I did get a 6 in these and I can wear my wool blend socks with no issues. The tread grip is awesome. I've hiked through mud and creeks and kept dry. I do feel the cold if water is over entire foot or if I get snow on the top of foot. Yes, great for snowshoeing if not heavy snow area. I get many compliments too on these. Now I'm trying to get a new pair.

Bought these for trail running. They fit perfectly my needs for comfort (feels like a running shoe) good traction and ankle support on uneven ground was key for me. They are also waterproof. I've also hiked and did some bouldering in these and they did not disappoint. Very comfortable.
