Amazing!! I have just finished 800km trek in these shoes and I cannot believe they still look like new. During 29 days of walking, I had not developed a single blister, the shoes were extremely comfortable and reliable in changing weather conditions.
I am using them now for running in the park. Great product! Thank you Salomon!!

The Ultra Pros are the best. This is my go-to for my long runs and everyday trainer. I am on my 11th pair!

I bought this shoe primarily for walking. I find it is equally comfortable on road and across the country side. I have a broad foot and have no problems with rubbing or toe space. I took my foot measurements as instructed and they are a perfect fit. I did not like the lock laces and changed to elastic laces.

I've only worn it a few times but was comfortable right away so breaking in didn't change my workouts.

Ideal shoe for front range to alpine trails through out the seasons.
These have lasted me a year of 350 rugged miles on alpine trails. The width is a bit more generous than my SpeedCross 5s which makes them more comfortable for the longer mile days on moderate trails. Also ideal for varying sock types.
They can hold up to scrambling and traversing, but as soon as your tread wears down, they can't hold a toe with confidence. Very breathable and dry quickly when submerged.

Hands down the best trail running shoe I have had. I run all distances about 30miles being the longest distance run. This shoe is great for short and mid distance but also for longer knee and foot banging runs over 15+miles. These Ultra Pro's offer a firm and grippy sole for tech stuff but a nice mid length tred for hard packed single track. If you have a wider foot I think these types of runners would enjoy it a bit more with the bigger toe box.
I'd buy boxes of these to have once my current shoes keep breaking down. Nice work Salomon for this one!!! 5Stars

I’m a huge fan of Salomon shoes and have owned 20 pairs over the years. I have a few that have lasted years and still use them for yard work etc. Unfortunately these shoes hurt my feet. The middle, lateral edge of both feet get sore after only wearing them for a short time.

I wear them for 3 years and they were great! I really wanted to buy a new pair, but, unfortunately, can't find any in stores or online. Hope, this one will be available back again.

These shoes are my favourite so far. I have run more than 2000k with them and love still use them when the weather is snowy or rainy. They survived 2 mountain 16 mile runs in the Rila Mountain. Would buy the same if they had my size.

I bought my second pair a bit more than a month ago. I was very happy with my first Salomon Ultra Pro. It's a very reliable pair of trail running shoes. I put more than 400 miles on my first pair and used it on diverse terrains mainly in the New England area. It was the first time I had an injury-free year. It helped me to have a very smooth transition from road running to trail running. I highly recommend it. I hope Salomon continues making this pair.

I bought this shoe to compliment the sense ride 4 during my Black Hills 100 race. I changed into the Ultra/Pro at mile 52 and wore it the remainder of the 106 miles. The cushion and protection it provided was amazing, I 100% recommend and will buy again.

I've run just under 200km in these so far, including my 1st 100km event and I have no complaints at all, no blisters, no pain. Used on multiple terrains and they're great on all, from grass to stony to soft packed trails.

I was looking for a shoe with a little more support than my typical Inov-8 roc-lites and these looked like a potential good match as I was starting to train for an upcoming 70mi race.
I was not disappointed. The fit was true to size and your foot will actually stay in place while running downhills so there is no toe scrunching. They did well in mud, ice, snow, road, and dry trail (all on their first day out!). They are not as pliable as my Inov-8s so it took a little while to get used to their feel.
All-in-all, these are definitely now in my shoe rotation!

I've had my Ultra/Pros for about 70 miles now.
About me: I run almost exclusively on trails and dirt roads and despise running on pavement. My runs are normally 4 to 9 miles 3-5 times a week on trails that have frequent creek crossings. In the PNW I frequently encounter mud wand/or snow in the winter. I don't like gore-tex shoes and instead favor wearing a thin pair of smartwool or other performance sock for a lighter weight feel. I am middle aged and have had knee problems in the past, so cushion and support is important in a shoe. I don't have ultra-wide feet but sometimes fit better in a wide sized shoe. I am somewhat dedicated to my other go-to brand name shoes but was offered these shoes to try at a discount so...
Out of the box: As my first pair of solomon shoes I did not initially like the lacing system. It seemed like they ran too freely through the loop which would cause an uneven fit or pinch up at the top around my ankles. Trying the shoes on, they seemed narrow with some extra space in the toe. This concerned me as I normally would not buy shoes without trying them on first [and liking them] but these were sent mail order as part of the program. They also had less cushion than what I am used to. They were comfortable though overall.
After 50 miles: I've had a chance to break them in they are fantastic. I got used to the laces after about 15-20 miles and like them as much as traditional laces if better. They are very light weight and fun to run in with what feels like a slight improvement to my pace/times over heavier cushioned shoes. The narrow feel does not bother me and the way they fit my feet are great. I am not affected by the lesser cushion that these shoes have.
I've stepped in a few creeks and have run in the snow with these. As with all my other non-gore-tex shoes my feet still get wet. However, with the right socks they continue to perform through the run and I don't get cold feet or anything like that. They hold up well on the trails and are durable.
Bottom Line: These shoes are great trail shoes. For me they needed an initial break in but that went fast (less than 20 miles) and once through that I love running in these shoes. I will buy them again and recommend them.

These shoes are a great choice for longer days in all sorts of terrain. They're sturdy around the foot and have great grip, and felt comfortable from the first wear! I ordered them a bit smaller than my usual size (6.5M instead of 7) which was good, as these run a bit big. They've also held up well in rockier terrain too!

I usually run in Sense Rides on the trails but wanted a slightly more cushioned shoe for a 50km next year.
So far these haven't disappointed. Still responsive but does have a little more cushioning. I've only done about 150km so far with a max of 30km in one go.

I am not a dedicated runner, but do enjoy training for the occasional 5k or 10k. I do the majority of running on gravel roads and these shoes have or performed every other pair of running shoes I've ever had. They are comfortable, even without custom inserts and have the perfect amount of traction for every surface I have encountered so far. They do run a bit big. I usually wear a size 6.5 running shoe but could've gone almost a full size down.

Very happy with this for trail running. I've been running 3-10 mile routes in this shoe and really like how comfortable and not bulky they feel. I had to go one full size down. I wear a 10 in Brooks and ordered a 9 in this shoe. I wear them a little on the loose side to let my feet relax. I find after a mile they feel like part of my foot, totally comfortable, no pinch points.
