I have bought at least 6 different solomon shoes over the last few years and always fit great in a 12.5, until these. the 12.5 is way to big and I guess they did that since your feet swell in an ultra but this is too much. Wore once on a 3 ish mile run and my feet hurt like crazy, not sure about them yet.

I have always worn salomon trainers for mountain / fell running because I love the way they feel but having stuck with the SG softground despite the notorious uppers splitting across tops and sides after a very short time they seemed to have resolved this issue by the sg6 version.the soles of the sg7 was so dangerously slippy presumably attempting to reduce the previously rapid wear that I changed to the ultra pro trainers which although heavier than the sense sg6/7 are nice to run in BUT 200 miles in and the sides at the front have split like the old salomon SG did so I am not impressed. I loved the sg 6 sense but none left. The sg7 by being lighter than the 6 let in so much water they end up weighing more than the 6 . Not sure what to buy next but it will have to be salomon I guess

These shoes are great if you are using them for training only and not logging more than 50 miles on them in one go. I bought two pairs and only logged about 100 miles on them total before using them in my 77 mile trail race and my 100 mile trail race. In each of these races the sides developed massive holes on inside and outside. I would say, use these for training, but not for races longer than 50 miles as they don't hold up.

Malheureusement se sont les seules Salomon avec lesquelles j'ai d'?normes ampoules au niveau du talons.J'insiste ? chaque fois mais rien n'y fait(double semelle, protection ..) je n'ai pas se probl?me avec les ultras pro ( 3 paires) ou les SLAB WINGS; elles semblent confortables au demeurant , avec une bonne accroche et un excellent amorti mais .....

Wybraem si na bieg ok 20 km ju po paru kilometrach stopy poobcierane w okolicach kostek. Na zbiegach dosownie wyem z blu kiedy twarda cholewka buta wyna si w stop. Regulacja sznurowaniem nic nie pomaga poniewa jeeli zluzujemy sznurowanie to but nie trzyma si stopy. Salomon baaardzo si zawiodem !!

Deuxime paire et mme symptmes. Le pied gauche se dforme au bout de deux mois d'utilisation. C'est trop rapide. Hors dans les caractristiques, il est stipul pour ce modle pas de dformation et un amorti proportionnelle la pointure de la chaussure. Ou bien il ne faut pas dpasser les 80 Kg. Premire fois que je suis du par un modle de la marque depuis 15 ans

Trs dcu par ces ultra pro. Ayant des speedcross, je cherchais des chaussures de trail avec moins de drop, et pour des terrains moins gras. Les ultra pro semblaient parfaites, mais aprs 5 sorties j'ai toujours des ampoules sous la voute plantaire (que je n'ai jamais avec les autres paires de route/ trail). Le pied n'est pas assez maintenu, l'avant de la chaussure est trs large, 1cm de plus que les speedcross !!!

I had the same issue that Ericface described. I also normally wear 9.5s in Salomons and my pair fit very very large. Is this a sizing problem or did perhaps some shoes get mislabeled as 9.5s?

Stringhe troppo lunghe. Allacciatura troppo alta e da fastidio al collo del piede . Al tatto materiale pessimo. Suola che si usura troppo rapidamente

My second pair of these. First pait barely survived for a whole summer season. Forefoot sides quickly splitting as well as heel cushion. Been running about 250k's with my current pair and already noticed a torn whole inside the heel cup cushion. Not as good quality as Salomon kicks usually are.

Shoes have not held up as well as they should when you consider the price point. Quick laces became frayed and were no longer tightening properly. Salamon was kind enough to send me another pair of laces but it feels impossible to re lace them properly. There is a no way a person can tie a knot small enough to slide past the "male" plastic that holds both lace ends together. One last note; the mesh around the toe area of the shoe has developed a few holes in it.

I had heard good things about the Ultra Pro and was hoping it would become my new go to trail shoe for longer runs and races. I had to size down a 1/2 size but the fit felt really good initially. First run was a 10mi loop i do regularly with some technical ups and downs and fast running rolling terrain. I'm glad I only ran 10 miles as afterwards my feet were so sore I couldn't run for two days! The combination of pressure from the wings at the mid-foot and the very firm midsole bruised the medial side of my foot and gave me sore ankles. Needless to say, one run and done.
