Bought those shoes after I measured my feet as per the chart... they are huge! I suggest ordering at least 1 size down

I ordered these as a replacement for my SLAB Sense Ultra but the sizing has changed. Always used to be a UK7.5 but these were way too long despite having the same sized insole. Also the weight is somewhat heavier than expected. The UK 7.5 weighed 286g out of the box, not 260g as advertised. It would help if you would list the sample size that your weight refers to as I am trying to compare across the range and I doubt the SLAB Ultra 2 (advertised weight 285g) weighs more than this shoe in real life so maybe you are using different sizes? Now not sure what would be a good replacement for my trusty old shoes!

I love the design and durability. the sizing is off though. Some previous reviews suggested to size down. I normally wear a 7.5 so I ordered a 7. I should have ordered a 6.5

I bought those shoes 6 months ago, and I used them to run only in forests, and ocasionnally just walk. I think I did 300 to 400km whith them, but the back of the mesh is really starting to rip appart, this makes me feel really sad, because they were reeealy good on every surface, so maybe I just had a bad pair, or the shoes were not made for my type of running.

Did one ultra trail and it was overall a nice run with these shoes. Does not offer ultimate traction on muddy trail but other surfaces it was ok. After race I noticed the heel cushion already had started to tore. The surfacefabric of the heelcushion is not very long lasting.

But they aren't, I bought them in the Alps this summer having been looking around for a shoe with enough grip for a muddy english trail ultra but with a low drop and a bit more cushioning for longer distances. I really excited to try them out as Salmon shoes normally really work for me ( I've worn out lots of pair's of Sense Max's on the Road and Speedcross pro's for trail, the drop on a standard speedcross is too much for me) However even though the size is right in terms of where my big toe is they feel really boaty to run in (and a smaller size would result I think in black nails ), this is to the point where I feel on anything that isn't very smooth and flat that I'm going to turn my ankle. The laces come very high up my foot, I get this is trying to lock in my heel but it just makes the top of my foot hurt in a way my other shoes don't and I think would be a really problem for me in an ultra Not a shoe for me (and normally as I'm not small the men's ones work better for me)

I bought these 4 months ago and have used them regularly for runs and hikes throughout the summer. I loved the fit from the beginning. They're light but stable and there is a wide toe box for my wide feet. I was disappointed when I noticed there are small holes on the side of the shoe starting to develop already. It seems the part where there is mesh/waxy material near the side toe box compromises the shoe a bit. Fortunately Salomon has a 2 year warranty.

Was hoping these would give me the padding underfoot I need for long races with a enough tread to deal with a bit of mud but still with Salomon's brilliant handling on technical descents, as the drop on a speed cross is just too much for me and my much loved speed cross pros just don't have enough underfoot cushioning for longer runs. They have the padding and the grip (without having a high drop) but they are a very sloppy fit (I know there needs to be room for my foot to expand but there's way too much space and it allows my foot to move too but a smaller size would mean sore toes ) I'm also not keen on how high they come up my instep, it's ok on shorter runs and I get that the idea is it should lock my foot in (it sort off locks my heel in place) but feels as if it would irritate the area on longer ones. So these have been relegated to sub 10m trots on easy trail.

These are comfy shoes, good for trail running on mixed terrain and dry trails. However, the small lug depth means traction isn't good in wet mud, and you'll find yourself sliding all over the place. Definitely not winter trail shoes if you live anywhere with a lot of rain. More importantly, I'm now on my 3rd pair. Each pair has broken within 150km of running. The upper fabric simply starts splitting, and eventually very large holes form. My most recent pair has started to fall apart before 80km. Extremely disappointing quality. Salomon clearly know this is an issue and have have offered a refund for the shoes, but I won't be replacing them with the same model, as they simply don't last. Ultra? Definitely not.

La chaussure est solide sur le dessus, mais par contre la semelle ne l'est pas. Au bout de 2 mois d'utilisation, le dessous est lisse, les crampons partent trs vite. Pourtant, je suis un poids lger 1m75 pour 57 kg.

I have had them for 8 months and run something around 400 to 500 km. They are really comfy and give nice support. But now lots of the fabric have been given up and start ripping up.

Tried them on once after I received them. Immediately too narrow for my foot unfortunately. I recommend double checking width then assume they are a touch more narrow than suggested.

Unfortunately the shoe is massive, so I haven't been able to wear it. I ordered the same size as last year but think I need to size down a full size. Still love the shoe for long runs, but the sizing isn't great.

I have never worn anything but a 9.5 in Salomon and these shoes were as long as an 11. I was so confused. The width was great, the stiffness was as expected, but I could have never imagined a 9.5 being so long. I downsized to a 9 and the last fit just as long. I really wanted to like these shoes. Oh well, I still have nothing but love for Salomon.

First, I'm a big fan of Salomon and this is my only negative review. But this shoe is maybe the most disappointing pair of Salomon shoes (I own 10+ pairs). These are really narrow, too long, and too rigid. Very uncomfortable. I hoped this would be a good follow-up to the Sense Pro Max, but it's a terrible step backward. Please bring back the Sense Pro Max. That was your best shoe. thanks

I bought these shoes as a size seven, but when I got them they were huge! The American size says 7 and the European size is 38 and 2/3 which makes no sense as a seven is normally a 37. They look awesome and feel like they would rock if the sizing was right.

Great looking shoe, felt very durable and the outsole looks tough! But it felt like I was walking on rocks the outside of my foot felt bruised and the arch developed blisters. After one week I though they would break in but still un usable for me. They run a little big as well.

Nice shoe overall ,with a snug midsole and instep height, common among many of the Salomon line up of off road shoes (nearly identical to a Speedcross 4). However, the heel width is very wide relative to the size of the shoe. Due to the lacing system, which I do prefer on this type of shoe, it is not possible to tighten that heel enough for serious running on trails.
