I love New Balance, but this pair has a problem with a pich on my right toe box. I bought shoe stretchers to expand the toe.

Nice shoe but it looks a little too much like a mans shoe on my BIG feet.

I have a hard time finding shoes to fit my wide feet, but these in extra-wide are fabulous! Have kept my feet warm & dry in rainy Europe. Not as comfortable as the 890 athletic shoes I normally wear, but great for traveling in rough weather.

I usually take a 10, especially in a sports shoe. This shoe was long. But if I had ordered a half size smaller, I was afraid the width would not be wide enough to support my bunion. I think a person with a more normal foot would do fine with this shoe. Attractive, seemingly well constructed.

The shoe was true to size but in NB shoes I always have to size up. I wear a 7.5W in shoes but wear 9WW in NB sneakers. The shoe is more of a hiking boot and is uglier than the photo but for my winter walking commute on Chicago sidewalks these will be perfect.

I am pleased with the roomy width of these shoes. I have extra wide feet and these have ample room.

This trail shoe has an excellent fit and sturdy build. However it has a liner in it which make makes it a very warm shoe despite the mesh around the top and sides of the shoe. The shoe is advertised as water resistant but there is no indication it has a goretex liner nor was there any mention of the shoe as being breathable. I purchased this shoe for travel and ability to walk ling distance in comfort in any weather. I do have concerns the shoe may be too hot ti wear during warmer months. Otherwise i really like rhe shoe. One other note: shipping from nb.com was UPS sure post..EXTREMELY SLOW!!!! 4 stars based on this being a very hot, seemingly not breathable shoe..otherwise an attractive shoe with a great fit.

I have numerous NB shoes. I appreciate the ex wide sizes. This model though has a narrow toe box and had to return.

I really wanted to love these! They are so well made and look great, very supportive and yet some cushioning at the same time. The problem is that they were too wide in the heel and too narrow in the toebox. No way to exchange that for another size or width. Darn.

I've been wearing the 1540v3 for several years; they fit me perfectly and provided good support. Now that style has been discontinued, and I'm looking for a replacement. The Fresh Foam 1350 isn't even close! Neither the size (I wore a 6.5W in the 1540) nor the feel are in the same league. The 1350 is a less substantial shoe and is way too narrow. Holding the 1540 up against the 1350 sole-to-sole shoes confirmed my sense that the "new wide," isn't! The search for a replacement continues...

I wear a narrow shoe but the toe box was too narrow for me in the medium. A wide would have slipped in the heel. Had to return

NB shoes generally fit my feet well. The arch support is insufficient for slightly longer hikes (appx greater than 7 miles for me). Need separate inserts. Roomy all around; maybe a but too much so around mid and heel parts.

I ordered these in a 2E. They were wide enough, but the toe was surprisingly pointy. My toes felt squished. The footbed was pretty stiff and hard as well. And they not only felt heavy, but looked clunky. I didn’t like them and will be sending them back.

Shoe was slightly wider than anticipated and a bit too long. Even with a thick sock it felt loose no matter how tightly it was tied.

I bought wide width in this shoe, so it fits well, but my feet get too hot when I do my exercise walks. It is November in Southern California, so it's about 60 - 70 degrees when I do my walks, but my feet get hotter than in my other New Balance shoes. I just do regular walking around my neighborhood, so it is not real strenuous exercise. I feel like the shoes do not have good ventilation.

I have worn New Balance in the past. Like other brands, it has become hit or miss in regard to fit and comfort. The fit wasn’t right and I did not like the material on the top of my foot or how it looked and bent - too stiff.

Initially I thought these were the ideal waterproof walking shoe: good support, sturdy, comfortable, ok looking. I take a 9 in Nike and ended up with an 8 wide in this shoe which was perfect. Waterproofing only lasted a couple months. Tried spraying with waterproofing as a last resort (tried 4 times with 2 different types) but that didn't work either. Disappointed.

I was looking for a waterproof and breathable trail shoe as I do a lot of hikes during the summer. they are comfortable and did not need much breaking in. they did however make my feet sweat so the breathability is not there.

Great shoe but tie bed was too narrow For me. My foots fault I'm sure. Return was a nightmare. Toll # useless and web site didn't work after multiple tries including switching browsers. Finally connected on FB. Shouldn't be that difficult.

I've worn New Balance for years. This shoe is very stiff and a bit difficult to get on. I can't imagine that it would be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I will send it back.

These are nice looking shoes. I was sent the wrong color, but it doesn't matter because while they are deep enough, they are not wide enough. My last pair of shoes, were a wide 6.5 Saucony Pro Grid; these were not any wider than those shoes. I am unable to buy the pro Grid as i have developed bunions which rub in a wide and now extra wide shoe. I cannot seem to find a pair of shoes to fit my short wide feet with bunions. So frustrating!!
