Customer Reviews New Balance WW1350W1 Walking

For years, I keep looking for a pair of NB tennis shoes in WIDE sizes with warm neutral tones (not greys) instead of the wild colors (or dismal greys) that have been the only choice. I am extremely grateful that NB has finally offered some beautiful shoes in earthy tones!! This company builds shoes with a wide enough toe box to fit my aging, flattening feet. They are my go to shoe company for years even though the colors I long for have not been available in my width until now. The double E fit is perfect. The Fresh Foam 1350 Chocolate is a beautiful looking shoe and the workmanship is superb. I would have given it 5 stars except that "foam" denotes something soft and this shoe is not. The sides of the shoe are very supportive but bite into my ankle and achilles tendon a little. I have tried crushing the sides and back gently to break them in and it has helped so I am hoping that in time the top of the shoe will limber up. The soles are also harder than any other NB shoe I have ever worn. They still give a secure footing, but I do not experience much "cushioning" or the "premium plushness underfoot" NB uses to describe this shoe. They also use the term "rugged" and I couldn't agree more! It is a heavy duty, supportive shoe that will last my lifetime! I am not so disappointed that I would send them back but I may add an insole to provide the plushness I was expecting.

This was nice and sturdy, but I felt it was too heavy to wear all the time. The shoe has a lot of weight. It's a great winter sneaker.

These shoes are very comfortable but are kinda heavy. I'm used to the sketchers that are light but I needed better support for being on my feet 9 plus hours at work. These were recommended by my sister in law who's a foot doctor so I bought them. It didn't seem like there was much foam in them I did have to add extra padding to help with that. I'm not sure if I would buy this exact pair again seeing they are very heavy.

Useful walking walking anywhere. Not so sure about removable insoles as mine only came in one shoe. I did. I did not complain because I wear orthotics anyway, but someone is swiping your insoles!

Excelent traction and support. Very good fit. It sacrifices breathability for waterproofness and can get pretty sweaty if you don't have the right socks.

I must wear an ankle-stabiliizng brace, which I insert into my right shoe. Due to the construction of the tongue on this model I was not able to insert the brace. The tongue is stitched down so it doesn't open very far at all. Wish I could have kept these. I've worn New Balance shoes for years, and this is the only pair that has had this odd tongue construction. i already returned these and ordered a new pair of New Balance shoes. Yeah!

Description states color is Black/Silver but shoe is actually Black/Purple. Style is updated nice sole. Only complaint is that the toe area is pointed as opposed to rounded.

The shoes had a wide tag on them. But I can't wear them with socks. I have purchased NB shoes for years and never had this issue. It seems to me you don't make them as wide as you used too.

I ordered a double wide size 9 but they weren't quite wide enough for my one foot that requires that. plenty long in length and they may be perfect for someone else that requires a double wide but my one foot just likes it a little bit wider. It seemed more like a d width.They seemed a little more narrow in the upper foot compared to the New balance 880 s I bought that I love and fit perfectly in a double-wide. They are still a nice shoe, waterproof, and I am wearing them periodically hoping the one foot will stretch out just a little bit.

True to size (size 9 standard width). Pretty comfortable out of the box, may need a little breaking in, but not much. Well made. Have not worn in wet conditions yet. So far, happy with this purchase.

but they run too narrow compared to my 1080v8 (which I love and alternate 2 pairs at a time), too stiff and heel is too big and slips. Unable to wear, so am returning today trying something else.
