I am so excited to have warm outerwear for the winter. I am looking forward to cold weather knowing I am going to be so warm with my new parka!

I love this coat so much. Keeps me toasty warm and dry for errands and when I'm out for long walks. The only negative is the magnetic buttons as sometimes I only like to button one button.

Wish it weighed less and was warmer. I may not look as chic as the model does. :-)

great winter coat, love the built in hand "mittens", not the most flattering coat shape wise but very warm.

I'm 168 cm / 60 kg / chose the size S. when I first put it on, the material on the belly was sticking out like it was not made for skinny a person. All the rest fits perfect and it's warm . I love sleeve ends . If you are looking for a jacket to protect your legs from wind, you should search for something longer than this one. After all i'm happy to have chosen this one.

I absolutely love this coat. The only thing I wish was different was that the faux fur was softer. It feels very cheap though it looks ok. This coat is VERY warm! And the quality is exceptional. I wore it in 20F degree weather and felt nothing. I also went to show family around the city in downtown nyc on a very cold day during the holidays and it reassured me I made the right choice.

The length of this jacket is longer than expected but is fine if you like the extra warmth. I'm 5'4" 135lbs and ordered an M. The length of it went down to my knees. Otherwise shoulders and arm length is perfect. The magnetic front replacing traditional buttons can be great but can also be annoying. When you don't have your jacket zipped up, passing through tighter parking lots between cars, can have your jacket magnetize to the sides of other cars making your jacket dirty. The jacket that I got had a zipper problem where it doesn't unlock, and it kept getting stuck. I had to take off my jacket like a onesie. This I think is just a manufacturing defect. Size were out to replace so I had no choice but to return.

This runs big. Although the medium size appeared to fit my measurements it looks a big baggy. That is a personal preference, but I prefer a bit more snug.

The jacket is really nice but too big and bulky for my style. It definitely would be great in cold weather. I only didn't give it a 5 star because I returned it because I felt it was too big and long for me.

I did A LOT of research about women Defdown Parka GTX and women Outer Boroughs Parka. I bought them both, just to compare "apples to apple". I am 5'5 have a wide back , but a small frame about 145 lbs.(as a point of reference)
-Outer Boroughs Parka: heavy, 4 pockets, DOES have a "bell" bottom, you should size if you want to get a more comfortable fit, its "stiff"/ bulky and restricts movement, the back belt is adjustable one snap, its fitted in the middle- awesome if you have a small top/waist, and you have thick thighs or wide hips.
-Defdown Parka GTX fit is looser straight, true to size, lighter and softer to the touch, doesn't cater to a particular figure, comfortable, good to layer under, 2 pockets straightforward look.
They are both waterproof, wind proof, down fill, at 5'5' they both fit at my knees on the front, with the "tail" in the back (less noticeable in the outer boroughs), pockets are nice and deep, but Zippers in both are hard to engage, even WITHOUT gloves.
The difference-
Defdown Parka GTX is Gortex will last longer (warning Metal Snaps WILL cause interference WITH MAGNETIC DEVICES, such as PACE MAKER, phones, bank cards etc.)
Outer Boroughs has DRY VENT technology -regular snaps.
Well, with that said, as their description, they are definitely both well suited for work or walking the dog, city or snow!

This jacket is super warm, comfortable. I sized up as I like to wear sweatshirts and thick sweaters in the winter so the larger size gives extra room and I don't feel constricted.

I browse one-line to view the coats. I decided to purchase at store instead. However, the grey coat was not as describe as online. So I purchase the Taupe at the store. As a first time online shopper I received addition discount instead in the store.
Months ago I purchased a none Gore Tex material, the insulation gets weakened after washes. I advice you all to create better insulation and more colors
Tyson corner location have a young lady that was a-little rude. Overall the service was ok fit.

This coat was exactly what I needed for the cold brutal weather in NYC. I wore a thin sweater and my jacket in 30 degree windy weather and felt warm. Great investment. Bought a medium and it's roomy if I need to layer. Pockets are big big but looks weird when it's full since it's position near the mid area.

I saw this jacket at my local North Face store and loved the style and colors. However, I struggled with the sizing. The medium was pretty loose; a good five inches of space between my torso and the jacket. If you want loose that's great, but I wanted it to be a little bit snug to keep me warmer. I tried the small, and the hip/torso fit was great but the sleeves were too tight. I could tell that if I was keeping my arms bent for any significant period of time (talking on the phone, for example), it would be uncomfortable.
Note: I don't live in a super cold place, so the looser fit of the medium may be less of a problem if you're wearing a lot of other layers. For me it was just not a perfect enough fit to warrant the price. I'm 5'7" and 145.

Great looking gray coat that provides excellent coverage to keep you warm! Added fleece at the sleeves to keep your hands/wrists warm. Extra long in the back to cover your rear, hits me at the back of my knee. Fur trim looks kind of gray in some light and almost purple in other light (kind of surprised me). Love the magnet closure over the zipper, it is super easy to bundle up!

I loved everything about this coat except the sleeve length was too long (and I have long extremities). I returned it and purchased a parka...which I love!

This coat is a great length, super warm, and well made. I searched for a new winter jacket for close to a year wanting to replace my former jacket with a warmer one. This one definitely keeps me warm, and is easy to move in. I also love that it's Gortex, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
The jacket has two cons, IMO:
1) the magnetic closures only work if the jacket is zipped, unlike snaps or buttons
2) when the pockets are unzipped, the jacket appears rather large around the mid section

Love the gortex and how warm it is. I was contemplating getting a canada goose jacket and had asked the salesman if he knew what the differences were. Turns out this jacket has a 550 fill volume for goose feathers and is waterproof whereas the canada goose jacket was 625 fill volume for duck feathers and is only water-resistant. Goose is considered warmer than duck feathers. so for something so comparable in terms of warmth and waterproof for a fraction of the price was a no brainer.
My only wish for this jacket was for there to be something cinched at the waist for there to be more of a shape.

Really nice parka for winter. It kept me warm in cold and windy Chicago during winter. Also, it's so stylish, I got a lot of compliments.
