I am 5'5 145lbs and got a Size Medium in the red. It fits so well. I love everything about this coat. The Price scared me at first, but I am so glad I invested in this coat. I stay so warm, water just rolls right off of it. I also love the hand mittens so much. The fur on the hood is massive but it really does amazing at keeping my ears and head warm. I am going to get another one in black.. when I have the $$$

Bought this to fight weird northeast weather. I live in Nj but work in NYC and weight for train outside on platform for some time and then walk for some time in Manhattan. And for that 1.5 hrs it can get from super cold to windy to freezing to rainy etc. In october snowstorm i got really wet in cold in my old jacket and since then decided to buy some higher quality jacket. I use arcteryx for skiing so i love goretex material. That makes this jacket water resistant (not repellant!), also wondproof. Its not super stylish and doesnt accentuate curves but then i really much more care about ease of movement which this jacket allows. Many womens jackets are wider on the hips and very narrow by shoulders and i wear backpack to work and i need to be able to put it on and off. I also did a thorough research between few styles cryos ($800 great jacket but too pricey for my budget now), arctic parka II (nice style very feminine but looks like poor quality and not goretex), outer borough (shaoe is just ridiculous on me, very pear alike and to fit me in shoulders i can squeeze 1/2 of me more around hips area) and ended up settling on defdown thats goretex, medium weight and price (not like cryos), and fits my frame. So far really happy with it. Zippers on the side make it easy to sit in and out of car. Magnetic front is great it just flaps in place on its own - as i always forget to put it up if its to be buttoned (just too lazy), pockets are huge and super warm and hand mittens are very useful and can be rolled back if you dont use them.

This is a really nice, warm coat. It is a bit heavy, but not in an uncomfortable way--it just feels substantial and thick. It is good for very cold days. The fur on the hood is high quality and really cute (and I usually don't love fur-trimmed coats). Overall this is a great parka.

This jacket is very functional and attractive. As noted by other reviewers the sleeve are snug, sizing up may be needed.

I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy and expensive parka for the Chicago winter and boy am I glad I did. It's much warmer than my previous winter coat and it's also more stylish than a puffy jacket.

My only regret about this coat was not buying it sooner. I tried it on in the store and asked for it for Christmas. Didn't get it for Christmas but did receive a gift card. Went back to the store to try it on again. Didn't buy it because of the price. I bought and returned five parkas before finally ordering this one. So happy I did. It's warm and comfortable. Water and wind proof. The fur is a bit much but easily detachable so I keep it off most of the time.

Much warmer than my TNF tri-climate jacket I purchased three years ago which, is still in good condition I might add. Makes for a stylish winter jacket. Accentuates hips for a flattering femine look. Love the magnetic buttons that snap together effortlessly and, the sleeve cuffs that unroll to become hand warmers. Thanks TNF! Very pleased.

This is a very nice warm coat. It is stylish and of good quality. I'm waiting for TNF to restock so I can buy this cost in red. Then, I will probably not have to buy another coat in this lifetime.

I LOVE this coat. It's extremley warm and very stylish. I usually wear a size 4 in clothing and the size small fits me perfect. I first purchased the medium and it was too roomy for my likes, but would be good if you wear a lot of heavy sweaters.

Upon moving to Chicago, I needed a better coat than what I was used to and had never purchased one in this category. This coat is SO warm, waterproof and practical at a much better price than competitors I researched. I can still move in it (huge plus) and love the way the black style looks. The hood insulates/shields wind extremely well also. I have yet to feel cold waiting for public transportation or walking to the gym. (And let me tell you, it has been COLD.)

It can be hard to find an extra small jacket that isn't too big. This coat fits perfect!

Great product although this black one strangely had longer sleeves than the same navy one I bought prior..

I really like this coat. I got it because my old one wasn't keeping me warm enough in Minnesota winters and this one is amazing. I also love how large the pockets are, I'm able to fit a water bottle in them! It also looks nice and the fur on the hood is detachable which is a bonus for me. The sleeves also have fabric around the wrists which helps keep the snow from melting and running down you arm. I'm extremely satisfied with this coat and would definitely recommend it.

Unbelievably warm. Love the magnetic closures instead of buttons or snaps. I'm 5'6 and it comes just above my knees. Side zippers allow for movement if needed. I debated between the Defdown and $800 NF. Comfort level of this parka won out. I have long arms and this parka sleeve is perfect. An excellent investment.

Love this jacket. I've researched a lot of different jackets and brands, and I'm so glad this is the one I got. This jacket has everything I'm looking for from the hood to the length and fabric material. Chicago winters are really cold, windy, and wet. I've never felt cold this winter! Like all parkas, zippers take a little getting used to. Sleeves are a bit long on me but I don't mind because I'd rather have long sleeves to cover my hands than short ones. One comment about the fur: indoor lighting- it's brown/white/gray, but in the sun it appears purple! Kind of strange.

Still alittle apprehensive. But it seems to be doing its job. Brought this for my daughter. She loves it. I'm still looking for the quirks. So far there are none. Had this for about a month now. No complaints. It's very stylish. Great holiday coat because of the color. Now she has her first real holiday winter coat. Looking forward to what they'll come up with for the next yr. Did I mention this coat comes with a lifetime warranty. Definitely worth it!

If you're in the market for a jacket that will keep you warm for hours but only wearing minimal layers underneath, this is your product. It's very stylish especially the red color and the fit is very flattering. I'm a commuter which means I stay outside longer because I wait for ubers/lyfts/buses and at metro stops so being warm is a must. I also purchased this because I'm going to iceland in the winter and now I've been wearing this for a week, I know this will definately keep me warm. The magnetic buttons are a huge plus along with the tight hood that's lined with gorgeous fur The price is a huge setback and l almost feel this jacket should be more priced at 300-350 not at a near $500 with taxes! Another downside is you need to read the washing instructions carefully because the jacket's material is only treated so it repels water, make sure to follow the instructions so you get the most of your coat. Overall, I still think it's a great investment because of the warmth and how they source the down feathers.
