The shoes were extremely comfortable. Seemed to have exactly the right amount of cushion and springiness, without feeling spongy. I’m 6’10” and weigh in at 290. For me, the perfect shoe. They seemed to run a little small, tho, so had to return for a one size larger than I normally wear.

Fit is perfect. Just had Achilles surgery & the back design does not bother it like previous the version. I also have plantar fasciitis & this has been the only shoe I can wear without orthotics in it that doesn’t aggravate it. I’m 6’4” 288 lbs & the cushioning has held up the best of any sneaker I’ve tried including motion control offerings from ASICS.

Finally Brooks Beast is back to correct sizing. These are awesome shoes with great comfort and support.

Good looking shoe. Disappointed in lack of pronation support which I had expected from other reviews.

I use a custom orthotic. Removed original and put mine in. This shoe has very good support for the orthotic. Have tried other brands unsuccessfully but the Brooks shoe works great.

I have worn Brooks Beast for years because of knee and foot problems from arthritis. Some years the shoes are better than others. This year the shoe was a great fit and very comfortable. I wear the shoes 8 plus hours a day and they provide the support I need. I highly recommend this shoe to people who need arch support or have arthritis.

I have tried many different running shoes over the years and these are best for me! At 260 pounds, cushioning and stability are crucial. I used to run in them but now I just walk. Still, I have finished the Camino de Santiago across Spain (900 kilometers) and gone about halfway across France. I always bring a pair of light boots but mostly just end up carrying them and wearing the Beasts.

Wearing beast for years. Fit and size always just right. Also Zappo is one of the best shopping fits for me.

I ordered size 16 Brooks Beast '18 Silver Wide and an Extra Wide pair. After wearing them around the house, I found the Extra Wide did not give me the support I needed. The Silver Wide is a comfortable, supportive and a good looking shoe. With this is mind, I ordered another Silver pair and a black one. The black pair is also a good looking shoe. Having size 16 shoes, I am thankful to have available choices and the great services provided by Zappos!

These provide excellent support. It feels like I am walking on a cloud but on uneven surfaces they are as steady as a donkey on a rough trail. This is my second pair. I hope Brooks maintains this line. I'll buy again.

The fit was as advertised. The arch support listed was not applicable due to the fact that I use an orthopedic support that a buy separately. Now back the the shoes: I would recommend these to anyone with foot issues of any kind. The soles are replaceable and the shoe fit true to size. The soles are a little flexible but are very stable unlike Sketchers. This is my 1st pair of Brooks shoes and this experience has taught me that this will not be the last.

I got these after reading reviews that touted the foot-bed comfort. And those reviews were right! The soles of my feet had been very sensitive lately from walking on cement sidewalks and climbing stairs into and out of the subway. Boy have these babies helped me! Now I'm on the lookout for a well-cushioned show for my wife. Maybe Brooks has a ladies' equivalent?

This is an outright excellent pair of shoes, however, when I compare it to the Beats '16, I have found that it doesn't wear as well (is much more prone to faster wear). After wearing for close to 6 months, the souls started to come apart slightly. I tried to fix with Epoxy but it didn't work. I still love these shoes for my severe overpronation and my arthritic big toe - but if I had an option I would go with the previous years model - they had less cushion slightly but were far more durable. Unfortunately the old model is gone! And even these shoes are hard to come by at any reasonable discount.
