I had just about given up trying to find supportive flats because similar brands like Vionic are always too wide in the heel. I couldn’t believe how perfect these fit me! Wore them for errands and they stayed put. The mango color is to die for, a fabulous pop of color but still a neutral.

I'll start by saying that I have a couple of foot issues that have so far kept me from wearing cute little flats, except for times when I'm going out to dinner and don't plan on standing much. At work, I'm on my feet a lot, so I mostly wear Dansko clogs. They are amazing, but I affectionatly refer to them as my "Herman Munster" shoes, since they are not exactly delicate. I have a fairly low volume foot with a narrow heel, so slip ons don't typically work well for me. I decided to take a chance on these, and I'm so glad I did. Even with my half orthotic (which I place under the shoe's insole), they were still a little wide for me, and the heel slipped a bit. I decided to try a heel pad and some low cotton liners, and it solved the problem. They're PERFECT. I got the taupe color, and they will go with most anything. If I had a bigger shoe budget, I'd get them in the black and rose gold. Who knows. . . maybe they'll go on sale.

I usually wear a 38 in Dansko and I'm a 7.5-8 in Teva and 8 in Vionics. I had to order a size down to a 37 in these flats. I feel like I am walking on clouds! I have a wider toe box and regular to maybe narrow heel. This fit a little loose in the heel but I kept them and they are great. Yellow is the perfect mustard color. My husband said you couldn't even tell they were Dansko, just regular flats! That's a good thing for a 30 year old with foot problems to hear.

I think I ordered 20 or more flats looking for a very comfortable shoe with good arch support. Who would have thought it would be so difficult. I narrowed it down to 3. This shoe was immediate comfort when I put it on and will be perfect for work and for the cruise I am going on...a little plainer looking than what I was looking for but comfort won out. They seem to fit a tiny bit larger than some of the others (thus the comfort). They may stretch with use in which case they may become a little loose fitting. If that happens I think a new insert may do the trick. I just can't buy a shoe that is a little tighter now with the thought of it loosening later on! My other choice, Comfortiva Maloree , was very comfortable and less expensive , with a little added style, but not as much support. I could see my back and heels bothering me so decided on this Dansko Kristen. I just love Zappos and their excellent return policy and process. Don't ever change that.

I have a terrible time finding comfortable shoes, having had foot surgery 18 months ago which fixed some issues but left some others. I probably tried on 2 or 3 dozen black flats over the past four or five months but they were never a good fit nor comfy on both feet. These Dansko Kristen flats finally ended my search. They are very comfortable with good arch support and enough toe space for me, and the length and width also works. They are not too wide for my rather narrow heel and they don't pinch in the toe area either. Length seems to be true to size. Recommended for a good "walking flat" that you can wear without suffering.

My shoe size is usually 9.5-10W/ I purchased the Dansko Kristen shoe in Black Milled Full Grain, size 40 (9.6-10) even though the shoes are not identified as being for wide wdiths. The shoes fit me very well. I did not need to remove the EVA foot pad to accomodate the size/width of my feet. I find the shoes comfrotable to wear, and my (relatively) narrow heels do not slip out of them while walking. The shoes were delivered in a timely manner, as is usual with Zappos. Yay, Danskos! Yay,, Zappos!

Ordered taupe color which I really like. Also very comfortable with great arch support. Usually wear size 8 so ordered size 38 which felt slightly too large. Also tried size 37 but that was definitely too small.

These are cute but in my opinion, don't fit like their traditional clogs, meaning they are a regular pair of flats. I am normally size 38 (7.5W) in Dansko clogs and wedge shoes, and that's what I ordered in these flats. I had a ton of room in the toes and my heel kept slipping out, even though there is elastic all around the top of the shoe to keep them in place. In other words, they felt 1/2 size too large, even for my wide feet. They are extremely plain so if you're just looking for comfort, they might do the trick.

I so wanted to love these shoes. I needed a basic flat for work, and since Danskos are so comfy, I thought these would be the perfect shoe. But the heel area is too wide. My heels are constantly popping off of the back. For awhile I thought that it would be fine, and that I would get used to it. I should have sent them back for a smaller size, but I’m not sure that would have helped either. Dansko- please fix this issue!!!!

Love these shoes! Right out of the box they felt cushiony and with the slight raise heel they are supportive to the foot, ankle, and leg. On the first day I wore them 11 hours standing at work and they were wonderful! I highly recommend. I have a flat foot that is slightly wide and do not like cramped toes.

"cute" flats are hard to find but these are super comfortable and have a tiny wedge so pants don't drag on the floor. Super comfortable, always a true size 8.5 and ordered the 38's, fit perfect.

these feel great. i got the rose gold color and they're a really nice color. very comfortable and the width is generous. very pleased and will probably buy another pair in another color.

Usually I take a 40 in Dansko, but these were too big. Exchanging for a 39, and don't know how how they will fit.

Fit is good. Style is very much in that work to casual range. Totally acceptable for meeting clients. I’m replacing some old Clark’s that I depended on for years. These don’t sag at the center when I walk like the Clark’s did. They are well made I think and I may go ahead and get another color. Yay dansko. I got the size 42 which is the same size I’ve always gotten in dansko but in other companies I only wear an 11 not 11.5. So maybe they run small? I don’t know. Zappos was trying to push me to order a 41 bc of other purchases. But I didn’t.

I’m a size 9.5 and usually wear a size 40 in dansko shoes (not clogs) and they were a bit too big. My heel slid a bit. I ordered the 39 and their perfect. My arch hits perfectly. These are super cute with slim fit pants. I love them!

Toe box too narrow. I usually wear a 39 but these are too short. Arch support very comfortable. Need to return.

LOVED this shoe, super cushy, simple design, great for packing... until walking around meant my narrow heels slipped out of them. Sadly, I had to return them.

I really wanted these to work out but they were just a little too big and slipped in the back when I walked. Maybe if I went another size down it would have worked. I am generally a size 8 and I ordered a 38.

I bought these in the black nubuck and they are some of the most comfortable flats I own. The look great with both jeans and skinny pants, and don't have the look of traditional Danskos. I have occasional flare ups of plantar fasciitis and also have small kids to chase after, so comfort is big on my priority list when it comes to shoes. On the negative side, I do wish they were not suede as I naturally found myself out in a rain storm not long after I first put them on. They have held up better than I expected after being exposed to water, but the material limits when I chose to wear them now. They feel so comfortable, I came back and bought the "taupe" as well. The color is softer in person than on the screen, and they turned out to be the most perfect light gray. They seem to go with everything. So in short, I love the comfort of these shoes but the material keeps them from being my top choice all the time. I still highly recommend these shoes - but I check my weather app before putting them on in the morning.

Super cute but sadly very narrow through the toe box and rub uncomfortably on both my big toe and little toe. Run a wee bit large but not enough to go down a size.

The "slate" is actually a light teal, and the rubber sole is definitely teal.

Wide throughout the entire foot, all the way to the heel. Also a size larger than it should be. Going to try to order a size down but it's so wide that I question whether that will even make a difference.

Cute shoe. Unfortunately the shoe hit me right on my big toe joint which has arthritis and is a bit swollen. Sorry that I had to send them back.

I always have trouble fitting in ballet-style shoes. These were no different. Everything was great except the 40 was too tight in the toes and my heel slipped out of the 41. There was too much extra space to fix with heel pads. Sadly returned them. I liked everything else about them. I was worried the elastic shown around the shoe would look totally Grandma, but in real life it wasn't really noticeable.
