Too much shoe in the toebox area--shoe for DAYS around the toes, above the toes--so, you trip as you run and your foot sort of "falls off" the shoe platform if you try to do any type of lunging or side-to-side movement. I am giving up and moving onto a new brand--Kayanos really do feel like cheap knockoffs of what they used to be.

Nice looking shoe but I find them very uncomfortable. I gave it a couple of weeks, hoping I would break them in but after a short time wearing them my toes on one foot go numb. Also have pain on the inside of my ankle. If I could I would return them. I found the Kayano 19s much for comfortable. They seem to fit true to size.

They felt stiff and the heel didn’t hug. I returned them
I'd also recommend:

I've always had good luck with the Kayano being my go to. I'm not sure what happened here, but these hurt my feet to a point where I don't think I'll be able to wear them for more than 10 minutes. I made the mistake of wearing to Disney World and I was not in a happy place by the end of the day. Hopefully, the next iteration will go back to the faithful standby they used to be!

Ordered what I would normally wear in Asics and they were entirely too big so I ordered a half size smaller and they were too tight. Also caused pain in my heels. I have bunions and they didn't aggravate them due to the design, but overall, I felt the shoe was very uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, I wore them one day at work and walking from the parking lot to work my knee started hurting and by the end of the day had shin splints and worse knee pain...I was limping. If I hadn't of thrown out the box they would have been sent back. Now I have a pretty pair of shoes I'll give away.

Dont waste your money on the Kayano 25, if you're looking for support. Zero arch support in this one. Saving grace is fact that the useless insoles are removable and you can purchase a worthwhile insole.

The size 9 fit like all my other Asics, however, I normally run in the Gel Nimbus, a neutral shoe, and my physical therapist suggested I try a stability shoe due to overpronation. This was where the differences began. The shoe did not feel as soft or as comfy as slipping on my Nimbus 19's and on my run I noticed how little "shock absorption" there seemed to be. I ran a two mile loop a few days after running it in my old shoes and had to stop to walk several times because of how uncomfortable the shoes were. They made my hips tight and my shins and knees hurt so I gave up and decided to return them. I don't care if I over pronate I will be sticking to the Nimbus.

Where is the cushion? Not comfortable at all on the front bottom part of the foot. Very disappointed with ASICS. I will have to return these and try a different brand.

I have worn this same style tennis shoe for years but this particular shoe does not fit the same. The arch of the shoe does not feel the same as my previous ASICS Kayano shoes.

I always wear a medium width but this style feels too constricted using a sock that was not thick. I will be returning them.

I am so disappointed. I love the style... rounder toe... color... But..no forefoot cushioning. I've been wearing this show for years, now I have to find another brand.

I have to applaud Asics for listening to consumers and making the toe box roomier and adding more cushioning. Unfortunately there is still not enough material on the side panels causing pain to the instep from the laces digging into the top of the foot. These shoes are being purchased for comfort and support to protect the health of the foot; they are not supposed to be a fashion statement. It's time to move away from this new trend of the "streamlined" running shoe which sacrifices comfort for aesthetics.

I have worn Asics Kayano for years!!!! First to run in, and now at an older age to walk in. I have always felt they had good support and cushioning. I have a narrow foot, so they work well for me. With my custom arch supports, they are perfect. However, after one wearing of the Asics Gel Kayano 25, there was less support and too much room in the shoe overall for me. All of my injuries from years of exercising flared up!!!! I will go back to the 24. Judy Brigham, age 79

I bought these about a month ago and I love the color.... however, they do not have the arch support I am used to in all of the other Kayanos I have purchased in the past.

I've been running in GEL-Kayano shoes for years. I skipped 23 because they weren't comfortable but came back for the 24's which were pretty great. I got a pair of 25's and within a week I had knee pain and a hamstring problem. I had been running for 6 months with no issues. I got a pair of 24's and the pain is diminishing. I have no idea what about the 25 causes it but I'm not happy at all. They were comfortable too. I don't know what I'm going to do next time I need running shoes. It's really hard to tell if you're going to like a shoe until you have time to run in it so it gets expensive. Overall, I wish they would go back to the 22 and earlier versions. They were my favorite.
