I really wanted to like this shoe. I have normal to wide feet. The toe box is shorter than my super old pair and a bit narrower also What happened to the toe box of yesteryear? These are going back despite the beautiful design.

I wanted to get a black pair of sneakers because black goes with everything, but these just didn't work. There is a very limited selection of motion control shoes, so I dialed down a notch and looked for maximum stability shoes. I ordered a medium width, as sometimes that works, but the whole shoe was to narrow for my slightly wide feet (usually its just my toe box that needs wide). Also, the heel-to-toe drop was too much for me, and the shoe didn't have enough support for my overpronation. I have one more shoe to try before I purchase another Asics Foundation 13. Thank you Zappos for fast, free, and easy shipping!!!

The fit and size were fine with this shoe. I've always liked how the heel fits my narrow heel in the Asics shoes. However, I was disappointed in the overall comfort. I previously wore the GEL Cumulus 18 and LOVED that shoe. It was like walking on air. The GEL-Kayano 25 is definitely stiffer. Disappointing.

I'd recommend Brooks or New Balance.

I have been wearing Gel-Kayano for a very long time. I had foot surgery and haven't ordered a new pair since the Gel-Kayano 21. I have a brand new pair of the Gel-Kayano 21 in a box and just took them out. The toe box is much more narrow. The 21 fits better for my narrow foot. There is such a poor selection of narrow shoes. Why would Asics make them wider ? The styling on the 25 also has no taper in the front like the 21. It might just be an illusion but with the styling of the 25 my foot looks bigger than it already is. I wear a size 10 N.

I like the style of the shoe and the quality is very good. However it runs about 1/2 size short and the toe box is narrow and shallow, so if you wear orthotics you made need a wide width. Unfortunately the wide width only comes in two colors. ASICS should rethink the design of the toe box or come up with more colors in the wide width.

These are super comfy on the sole, but it's about 0.5" higher on the ankle than the Gel Exite 4. Very uncomfortable on that area. It's too bad, because I would have loved them otherwise.

I was looking to replace my worn out Kayano 23, and these feel nothing like those. If you are looking for something similar to the 23, they've have really changed the feel of these. There is very little padding in comparison to the 23 and no arch support, should've listened to others with the same review.

Asics have always been my go to shoe, but they do not have as good of arch support as they have in the past shoes. I wanted a good work out shoe, but I do not feel there is enough arch support in the Kayano.

I ordered medium width which usually works for me. Even with thick socks, these shoes were very wide. My foot moved quite a lot inside the shoe. They are going back for that reason.

I ordered the Kayano based on other reviews, but it does not fit my foot as well as Gel-Nimbus. After wearing them for 3 hours around the house, my left foot was aching.

This shoe is a show stopper and I call them my magic shoes! They are beautiful and so bright. I have to be honest, however, and say they are not comfortable at all. My left foot is constantly going to sleep as the instep is too tight. I've loosened laces, everything to no avail. I've been a fitness professional too long to have to " break in a pair of shoes". The price is over the top high ... all show no go I am afraid.

I am a 9.5 medium with bunions. This shoe in a 9.5 was tight both in length and width. I am returning for a 10 wide, then we will see!

These were pretty stiff when I first got them. I usually run in Brooks Glycerine, but could not find my size anywhere (11.5 narrow). It took about 2 weeks of running to finally get them to feel fine on my feet. They are narrow enough for my foot, but would actually like a little more room in the toe box. I am training for a marathon in October and hope that the Glycerine updates before then.

I have worn Asics for years. I ordered my normal size 6.5 and the toe box was too narrow. I then ordered a size 7 and still the toe box was too narrow with absolutely no give. I returned both pair of shoes and went with an entirely different brand. i am so disappointed with Asics for changing the basic structure of this shoe.

I'm currently trying out Brooks instead of Asics.

Just bought these and the material they're using causes the shoe to fit too tight. My toes are going numb from being crowded. I have a narrow foot so I didn't think this would be an issue for me. They're so pretty, I hate I have to take them back. My 22's fit better , thought the toe box was a bit snug. ASICS don't use that stretchy material everyone else is using. Makes the fit like a water shoe and causing it too be extremely tight.

The color choices are very ugly - disappointed ASICS hasn't come up w better female neon colors. The shoe also lacks arch support

I have purchased these shoes in the past but the last two series are not what the old ones were. I am flat footed wide in the toe narrow in the heel. I work on concrete and out doors. The fit is great but the foot support is just breaking down on me so fast. Paid a lot for these shoes I shouldn't have to go buy new innersoles but gonna have too.

this shoe also clunked when stepping heel to toe - might have considered keeping it otherwise. I liked the fabric forefoot, which will allow some natural spreading of the toes - at least a little. Asics would do well to go back to its previous wider, higher toebox - AND - more of a curve to the sole/shape of the shoe. Many of us have a natural curve to our foot - not totally straight, as you see in many running shoes. I believe it is called either a curved or semi-curved last. **It would be very helpful if Zappos would indicate in the information on each shoe whether a shoe has a straight, semi-curved or curved last.**

Ug! These were so close! I usually wear the Nike Zoom and heard good things about Asics. This shoe is so close but not quite because of the darn toe box. It really is not wide enough, so when you run or bend/jump, etc. your toes are not supported on the base of the shoe (the toes spread further than the sole). I have regular feet and was an athlete so nothing too weird about my sizing. On the positive side, this Asics shoe seems sturdy. It's a little heavier than a Nike but (the Asics) has better inner foot support. The toe box is also not 'high' enough for enough foot volume creating a little bit of pressure on the side toes. It's really a bummer. Also Asics seriously needs to put the tag on the outside of the shoe -what are they thinking? Trying on the shoes with the tag hanging on the inside when you walk -not helpful. The white version of this shoe with florescent red laces is so awesome- I really wish these would have fit! The light blue ones are just okay (to me); the blue is more of a kelly blue, almost turquoise with florescent pink base (a little brighter than the picture shows). Overall, this shoe is good except for the one toe box design flaw. If you have narrow toes this shoe will probably fit fine. Like other reviewers said, this particular Asics is better than previous versions (which I also tried on, and returned) but this was not quite the right fit for me. Hope this helps! I wear a 6 or 6.5 in regular shoes and got a 7 in this shoe.

I will start this off by echoing everyone else, after the Kayano 21 Asics changed the toe box and the mesh and it resulted in an uncomfortable tight disaster that didn't loosen up with time, I had to wear New Balance 1080v8s in the meantime which overcorrected my foot to the point of underpronation. Thankfully they changed the toe box back and while it's not the same as the 21 it's an improvement on the last 3 generations. I got the wide and normal width in this shoe and dissapointingly, it's maybe no more than a centimeter wider than the standard shoe. It feels like they decided to save some money by exchanging out the gel along the side of the shoe to only on the heel and swapped out the quality of the foam in the shoe, while these changes are dissapointing it's not a bad enough change for me to return them or not wear them. I do question how well they will hold up since I walk 5+ miles a day with my dogs. They have made several improvements with the heel molding, a sock style liner and improved the quality of the laces. There are these strange bands running along either side of the mesh underneath the top layer of mesh in a contrasting color by my big and little toe, they didn't seem to bug me after testing them out for a few weeks, I think they exsist to prevent the new mesh from stretching out too much but I could see them bugging somebody with a really wide foot. I have a wide foot but thankfully the bands didn't bug me.
