I'm so disappointed with the fit of the new Kayano 25. The toe box is too big and the shoes feel like they have significantly less cushioning. I've worn the Kayano for years, but will have to explore other options now.

They make my feet burn. I don't know why but I put them on and my feet feel like they are on fire walking on pins

I took a test and these shoes were recommended for me based on issues I have when running (shin and knee pain). For reference, I run a moderate amount, about 10 miles per week. I tried these out on a few runs and found them extremely uncomfortable; they are so overly cushioned that they squeeze my feet until they're numb, even after I loosened the laces. I'm really disappointed.

I've worn these a week and the ball
Of the foot is showing significant wear. This has happened with all of my Kayanos over the last few years. ASICS quality is horrible.

I purchased and after wearing for about an hour I developed cramping In The ball of my left foot. I took out the insole and the sole had large bumpy rivets in the sole on the left shoe, not the right. I returned as defective and reordered the same pair and they arrived with the exact same thing so also returned. Now they are telling me I wore the first pair so not giving me my money back. I also purchased GT 1000 For my husband, no rivets and the Kayano 26 for my daughter and no bumpy rivets. I will be looking for another brand since they won't stand behind their product.

MY least favorite Kayanos ever! TOO boxy and do not seem to have the arch support that I always look for.

this model has an uncomfortable pinch point across the toes, just beyond the laces so that you cannot loosen it.

I usually love ASICS shoes, however, these are poor quality. I have had them a little over 3 months and the holes where the shoe strings go are ripped. My feet have been killing me after work. I work 12 hour shifts and am on my feet most of the time. I'm greatly disappointed, especially for the price.

I've been an avid Asics runner for years. I used to love Kyano's because they were the Cadillac of Asics. This version is the 2nd that I am having to return. The 1st was some special edition "New York" model and it felt like the inserts were backwards. This 25 model I am about to return. No arch support and I've got what I feel is a neutral foot and running method. DEAR ASICS - please take a look at your older models - like back before the 20's.

This shoe has alot of cushion however it is very heavy and clunky. I thought this would be a good shoe for my longer runs but I was wrong. I like the color but this shoe is very uncomfortable. My heel slips and rubs no matter how I tie it. If you are a runner you will definitely notice the weight of the shoe. I do not reccomend.

I bought these shoes in a wide based on the primarily positive wide foot reviews. I should have listened to the naysayers. These shoes might be labeled as wide, but are cut as regular, if not narrow. I have had these shoes for two months and I have tried to reason for the tightness, things like "they are new, I just need to break them in" . But I've never had to with any other Asics. This brand is my go-to and has been my primary shoe of choice for the past six years. Now that these are fitting tight like Nike shoes, I'm not sure if I will be able to purchase a new pair. These aren't exactly cheap shoes and I normally don't mind paying because of the great fit and comfort. However, these GEL-Kayano 25 are the absolute worst. If you have a wide foot, don't risk the fit and move on to another shoe.

Terrible, I dont know what happened with this style. I bought two pairs and have worked out, ran, lifted, walked, etc solidly for two months. They kill my feet for some reason. I can even where them just walking around the mall as they start to kill my feet within an hour. Not sure what happened as this was always my go to brand and style

I bought these and wore them twice. At first they seemed very comfortable, but after second day I developed a painful blister on my right foot (next to the big toe) and the tops of my toes on that foot became bruised/black & blue -- the toebox was just too tight. Disappointed in light of the reviews indicating the toebox had been widened. I'm sure shoe is very comfortable for some - just wasn't for me (so can't say I don't recommend).

Asics Gel-Kayano have been my favorite shoes for many years because of the great cushion and arch support. They're also very attractive. However, The Gel-Kayano 25 falls short on all counts. There is no noticeable arch support or cushion, and they no longer have the shapely toe box. This pair will be given to a friend or the Goodwill as there is not enough support for aerobics or walking, which is why I wear them. I believe it was the Kayano 23s that were so narrow, and I stayed with the brand then. Now, I'm afraid I will again be shopping for a shoe with good arch support and well cushioned.

The gel kayano is a great shoe generally speaking however, for people that wear a size 11 Narrow, well, this shoe just doesn't work. Dissapointed

I returned these. THey are not the same amount of cushion in the ball of the foot as the earlier styles. The whole reason i even buy Asics of for the ball-of-the-foot cushion. i'm an intense zumba instructor and i have arthritus so this is important to me. Also i think the sizing changed. i got the same size i always get and they were pretty tight... 10 min into the zumba class my right toes were actually going numb.

The shoes looked great. However they were WAY too tight. I wore them to the gym and walked 6 miles in them hoping they would loosen up.
They bruised my feet!!! I couldn't wear them again the next day. My feet needed to recover for a few days.
I am not sure when they changed their width because I had never had this type of trouble with previous Asics.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka and saucony

Super narrow. My feet were tingling and numb after a 2 mile walk because they are so tight. I usually walk 6 miles a day without problems in my other shoes (different brand).

My old Asics were worn out and I was really looking forward to slipping these on and experiencing that feeling of bliss, but sadly this was not the experience I had. I felt like I'd stepped onto concrete. I thought maybe it would get better and gave it a couple of weeks but there was no improvement so I returned them.
