Looks great! Great material but a little small for my son's school backpack.

My son has been using this back for about two years. The mesh pockets on the sides are not durable enough. The one he likes to keep his water bottle in is falling apart and I have had to try and repair it. It is a great backpack except for this one reason.

The plastic board that is against your back was bent from shipping. Needed some reshaping to fit the arch of your back.

Despite loading the pack from bottom to top, heavy to light, the pack is still unbalanced and rides heavy on top

I went to Alaska using this bag and it was perfect to hold my electronics and clothes. It was very comfortable to carry without feeling too heavy. I could also hold a jacket or a sweater outside and is super versatile. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone

I use it for storing work materials and for travel. It works because I use it as a replacement for a briefcase and like a weekend bag almost. But it gets the job done. It is disappointing that the backpack has a tendency to fall down when you set it on the geound

Honestly I love the backpack the color and the quality. I will say though it is a little smaller than I had initially anticipated. Otherwise high quality and very nice.

I use this as my work backpack, bringing needed and personal items into my workplace on a daily basis. It holds all my essentials and works well, mostly. However, it falls over a lot. 2 of the 4 zipped pockets are small and make it top heavy. It also makes it hard to put bigger items into the bigger pockets. It's also not roomy enough to put my lunch in, which I find annoying. It does fit all my work items though.. I do like the side pockets for all my beverages! It's very comfortable.

I love this pack just wish it came larger. I used my old one as a carry on for camera gear, binoculars, maps, iPad, GPS, jacket and misc. So well made and comfortable even with a heavy load. I cant get half as much stuff in this one.

I use it for day hiking. It does well. Probably would get back instead of the grey if I had to do it again. Grey gets dirty pretty fast. Overall it is good day pack.

Use it for school. Great book bag with enough room for everything I need. I can see the size becoming a problem in the future, it is a bit smaller than the usual book bag.

I use this product every day for commuting and carrying my every day carry items which include big things like books, laptop, and my water bottle. It also has an assortment of pockets for all my smaller personal items.

I primarily got this to use on day hikes during the warmer months in Maine. It's definitely more suited for the city goer because of its protective pocket for laptops or tablets. It conforms nicely though as a wilderness day pack.

This backpack has plenty of space and pockets. My son uses it for school, and so far it has been very durable.

I was using a Surge for a year or two. I love it, but it's just too big for EDC. I had been using a 15 year old Borealis that had a couple of holes in it and was a bit too flashy for work in bright orange. My ideal backback would be a 28 liter Surge. The updated Borealis is pretty good, overall. It has more pockets and compartments than my old one A dedicated compartment works well for computers or documents. The cargo compartment is roomy, but access isn't that easy if you load up the pockets in the front compartment. Using the pockets in the front compartment makes the bag top heavy, so it doesn't stand up on it's own. I'm not sure that the flex vent back panel is worth the weight in a 28 L backpack. It doesn't feel like an improvement. There are three features from my old Borealis that I miss: There was a channel in the bottom of the pack where you can tuck in the waistband. I never use mine and had to remove it. The long vertical pocket on the front of the pack was useful for boarding passes, ID cards and sunglasses. The current pocket for glasses with the soft lining isn't as useful. I put a pair of sunglasses in one of these in my Surge and they broke. There isn't enough room for a pair of wayfarers or other oversized sunglasses in a case. Overall a good EDC backpackl.

Can't give it less than 4 stars because of the quality and looks, but many of the reviewers are right - it is too heavy for my 6th grader and very stiff. It doesn't expand enough to fit all of the things a middle schooler needs. And yet it looks like it will last through high school so...

I bought this pack on the first day of university 2 years ago because mine broke from the number of books I was carrying. Has treated me well ever since still looks brand new. Super comfy straps but is meant for longer torsos. I have the b7w graffiti design and I absolutely love it with some pins it looks so stylish and the quality if great. I love the felt pocket at the front of the pack fits EVERYTHING I need and is super easy to rummage through. The main compartment is my favorite, perfect size, but the middle compartment can be a black hole sometimes and can be hard to access swiftly from a desk level reaching to the ground. I always fit all my lunch containers in the middle compartment + sometimes even a hammock but then it would get really heavy. The back is stiff and helps keep my laptop and papers safe. Has endured Florida flash floods and it fits an emergency umbrella and water bottle in each side pocket which is a MUST for me. Overall love the pack, but wish it was lightweight, or the back spine was removeable.
